137: Chapter 137 Mohr

"Give me the notebook!"

Inside the Federal Government of the Imperial Star, a man pinned a woman into a corner, questioning her in an extremely strange posture.

The man was named Mor, a treasure hunting expert.

"Mor, why do you think the notebook is with me?" The woman's name was Vena. She looked at Mor's angry eyes and smiled slightly, saying, "You had better figure out where this is."

The notebook Mor spoke of was his life's work. It contained information about the crown of Emperor Jun Mo, the first generation Human Emperor and the original founder of the Human Federation. It was the ultimate treasure of the entire Human Federation, though it was said to have gone missing due to some incidents.

However, she had tricked him into giving her that notebook using a honey trap.

That was why Vena understood why Mor was angry, and she could see that compared to the loss of the notebook, Mor was angrier that she had deceived him.

"Wait a moment, Mor!"

Mor immediately reached out and patted her down a few times.

"You didn't call for help immediately, so I knew you wouldn't," Mor said while searching her. "Besides, what part of your body haven't I touched?"

"Found it!"

Mor pulled a notebook out from the area of Vena's chest.

"If I handed this notebook over to the party, what would you do?" Vena smiled, stroking Mor's face with her finger.

Mor slapped Vena's hand away. "Keep your dirty hands away!"

"How heartless," Vena said, looking aggrieved.

"You know what this notebook means to me!" Mor said. "No... Why am I even telling you this? You've been lying to me from the very beginning."

Looking at him, Vena smiled. "You're right. I was lying to you the first time we met."

"The party is also looking for the Human Emperor's crown, and I heard that you don't have a good impression of our Human Alliance Party, so I came up with this method," Vena said.

"Hmph!" Mor sneered. "I'm just an ordinary person. I don't have any thoughts on these matters. I just want to make a fortune with this crown, nothing more!"

"That's why I didn't hand this notebook over," Vena said, stepping closer until she was almost pressed against Mor. "Even though our relationship is fake, what we experienced was real, wasn't it? Mor..."

"Get away from me!"

Mor stepped back a few paces, clutching the notebook in his hand as he looked at her. "The way you are, in my eyes, is just disgusting."

Hearing this, Vena stood frozen in place, watching Mor leave.

Mor didn't glance at Vena again before leaving. Their relationship had ended the moment he learned Vena was arranged by the Human Alliance Party to get close to him.

Now the important thing was to leave this place of trouble. He was currently in the Federal Government on the Imperial Star. After the leader of the Human Alliance Party was elected Federal Prime Minister, this place could be considered the headquarters of the Human Alliance Party.

Mor had disguised himself as a Federal Army soldier to sneak in. Although Vena hadn't exposed him yet, after what he said, there was no guarantee she wouldn't change her mind.

"Why are there so many people?" Mor stepped out of the main entrance of the Federal Government and immediately frowned. The huge administrative square was almost completely filled with a sea of people, shoulder to shoulder, airtight.

Mor lowered the brim of his military cap, tightly covering his eyes, stripped all expression from his face, turned sideways, and buried his head as he merged into the surging crowd.

He vaguely remembered that today was the Human Alliance Party's region-wide lecture event, but he never expected the scene to be this fanatical.

Hopefully, the shipping lanes are still open, Mor prayed in his heart.

He had always stayed out of things. Whether it was the Mingheng Party that once held great power and took orders from alien races, or the now-sweeping, universally adored Human Alliance Party, it was all irrelevant to him.

"Wait a moment, don't push me, make way to the side!" Mor was jostled by the crowd, his figure swaying, and he couldn't help but scold in a low voice.

But his voice was quickly drowned out by a group of fanatics. No one paid attention to him; he felt like he was a piece of canned food being transported.

However, that was fine. Mor had originally thought that wearing the Federal Army uniform would make him very conspicuous, but now seeing that there was no shortage of Federal Army soldiers among these fanatics, he felt relieved.

"But what a bunch of lunatics," Mor thought.

The people around were repeatedly screaming "Long live the Human Alliance!" and "Long live Your Highness!" This sound wave washed over his eardrums again and again.

He could never understand what kind of magic could make countless ordinary people abandon their reason and become such fanatical believers.

"Excuse me, sir, let me pass." Mor raised his voice, reaching out to push aside the crowd in front of him, trying to take the opportunity to break out.

But the other person seemed not to have heard at all, still pushing in the opposite direction of Mor.

"Your Highness, Your Highness, Your Highness!!!!" the other person screamed, "Long live Your Highness, long live the Human Alliance!"

"You!" Mor was squeezed out by the crowd and almost fell. He felt like he had bumped into someone.

But that didn't matter; his notebook was still there, right?

He took the notebook from his pocket and clutched it in his hand.

Fortunately, the notebook was still there!

Just as Mor breathed a sigh of relief, the notebook in his hand was snatched away.

It was the person he had just bumped into!

Mor immediately looked up, about to open his mouth to question them, but the moment he saw the other person's face, his whole body froze in place, his breathing stopped, and his limbs went cold.

"Long live Your Highness!"

"Your Highness, Your Highness!!!"

"Long live the Human Alliance!!"

...

The surrounding sounds were still intense, the roar shaking the earth, but Mor felt that as long as he stood beside this man, all these surrounding sounds weakened.

Mor's scalp instantly went numb, and a chill shot straight up his spine to the top of his head.

He didn't care about party affairs, but at least he recognized the leader of the Human Alliance Party who now ruled this Federation.

The person he had just bumped into was the very "Your Highness" that the people around were constantly cheering for!

You flipped through the notebook in your hand casually. It seemed to be recorded in the scripts of the three races: the Beast Race, the Spirit Tree Race, and the Human Race. The general content seemed to be about the crown of a certain Human Emperor.

The party did have an Ancient Artifact Tracing Department, but it was just an inconspicuous, idle small department. You had always been too busy to ask about it, and you didn't even know who the highest person in charge of the department was.

Boring stuff!

You looked at the owner of this notebook. He was wearing a Federal Army uniform, standing straight, swallowing his saliva as he looked at you.

From the Federal Army?

"Noke!" You reached out your hand, and Noke, who was waiting at your side, understood and immediately handed over a matte fountain pen.

You flipped the notebook to a page at random, your pen moving decisively as you signed two characters — Lin Heng.

After finishing the signature, you closed the notebook, raised your hand, and handed it directly back to Mor, who was frozen in place, your expression calm and without the slightest ripple throughout.

Mor took the notebook, watching you slowly walk toward the podium.

He opened the notebook and looked at the two characters on it, feeling somewhat incredulous.

Of course, if Mor had known that in the future, people would bring countless treasures to trade for this signed notebook, which contained the very Human Emperor's crown he had spent his life pursuing...

If he had known this, he would have been even more incredulous, right?

After all, the treasure he had spent his whole life searching for was not as valuable as a name the other person had casually signed.
