120: Chapter 120 The Origin of the Crimson Bloodline

On Ice Island, Lu Hu opened his eyes and watched the two giant beasts fighting.

"As expected, they are both suppressing their own realms."

Lu Hu thought to himself that whether it was Rongxiao or the Dragon Kun, both were at the peak of the Earthly Immortal realm, just one step away from becoming a Heavenly Immortal.

It wasn't that they couldn't break through to the Heavenly Immortal realm, but rather that they were intentionally stalling their progress.

Years ago, he had discovered an incredibly hard bone within a Crimson Molten Beast that was impervious to water and fire, and it carried a very dense Kun aura.

Having witnessed Ancestor Kun creating characters in the Kun Kingdom, Lu Hu's comprehension of the Kun Illusionary Way had improved by leaps and bounds. For someone who had mastered the Kun Illusionary Way, a bone with such a dense Kun aura was like a video waiting to be analyzed.

After a period of deduction, Lu Hu restored the "video" from that bone; it came from the Evil God Sinister Dragon, who had once attempted to destroy the world.

Over a thousand years ago, the Evil God brought destruction to the world, and no one could withstand its mighty power. It was the Immortals of the Kun Kingdom who stepped forward, bringing with them the kingdom's greatest treasure—the strange grass that had allowed Ancestor Kun to attain enlightenment—to battle the Evil God.

That strange grass was not particularly powerful in terms of raw destructive force and could not compare to the Evil God.

However, as a miraculous plant, its power was never manifested through lethality, but through illusions.

It was because of it that Ancestor Kun had comprehended the innate kun script, achieving unparalleled mastery in the Illusionary Way.

That strange grass was the source of all Kun illusions, and Lu Hu surmised that this was the illusory immortal grass he was looking for.

The Immortals of the Kun Kingdom used the illusory immortal grass and supreme illusionary techniques to trap the Evil God in an illusion where truth and falsehood were indistinguishable, thus mitigating the disaster.

But an illusion is an illusion after all; it only trapped the Evil God. He was not dead, merely held fast by the illusory immortal grass and unable to escape.

The Evil God Sinister Dragon was naturally unwilling to give up. He shattered his own spine and used his essence to forcibly break through the illusionary prison, scattering his bloodline across the world. He hoped that one day, a descendant carrying his bloodline would break through to the Heavenly Immortal realm and use their bloodline connection to help him break the illusionary array and return to the world.

And the bloodline of the Evil God Sinister Dragon was none other than the Crimson Molten Fish and beasts within this endless Cold Sea.

Therefore, Lu Hu deduced that the place where the Evil God Sinister Dragon was sealed was beneath this Cold Sea.

It made sense; rumors said the Evil God Sinister Dragon had burned the world with endless fire, and the extreme cold of the Cold Sea was its natural opposite, making it the most suitable place to seal the Evil God.

However, the main force sealing the Evil God was still the illusory immortal grass, which confused him with endless illusions. Thus, for the Evil God to escape, he needed a bloodline descendant to reach the Heavenly Immortal realm.

Only by using a special bloodline connection as a medium could the prison of the illusory immortal grass be breached.

The Evil God's plan was sound, but he never considered whether his bloodline descendants would be obedient.

Ordinary Crimson Molten Beasts lacked spirituality; even Grandmaster-level Crimson Molten Beasts were no different from wild animals, possessing only brute strength.

This was intentional on the Evil God's part; he wanted his descendants to lack spirituality and instead follow their instincts to kill and devour each other, so that the eventual survivor would become a Heavenly Immortal.

Unfortunately, miracles are everywhere. Rongxiao and the Dragon Kun developed intelligence under conditions where it was almost impossible.

Furthermore, they possessed the strength to break through to the Heavenly Immortal realm at any time, yet they chose to suppress themselves and never advance.

This was because they knew that once they became Heavenly Immortals, their father, the Evil God, would be able to break the seal.

A sinister dragon obsessed with destroying the world would have no sense of familial affection.

If he were to break free, they would likely be the first ones whose flesh and blood he would take to replenish his losses from the past thousand years.

And their death match every three years was also due to their bloodline.

The instinct of the Crimson Molten Fish bloodline was to multiply and thrive.

Whereas the instinct of the Crimson Molten Beasts was to devour their own kind to strengthen themselves.

This was the Evil God's doing, constantly influencing the Dragon Kun and Rongxiao to fight and devour their own kind.

Every three years, when they could no longer suppress it, the Dragon Kun and Rongxiao would choose to engage in a bloody battle.

After the battle, the bloodline's influence would dissipate, and they would regain their clarity and return to their respective homes.

"It's time for this Great King to make an appearance!"

Lu Hu stood up, left Ice Island, and walked toward the direction where the two beasts were fighting!
