37: Chapter 37 'Godzilla'

"Woo~"

The Whale Monster's body had been pierced by Lu Hu, along with its heart and spine. Even so, the Whale Monster did not die quickly. It floated on the sea surface, its voice weak, yet its agitation could still be felt.

It was nearly dead, yet it was still going berserk, as if it had eaten a stimulant.

Unfortunately, its spine was shattered after all, leaving it unable to sway, only capable of twitching a couple of times while waiting for death.

"Awoo~" (Big catch coming up!)

Lu Hu picked up the mithril fishing net from the Whale Monster again. Although it had a few big holes in it, it was still simple enough to contain a Whale Monster that had lost its ability to move.

Lu Hu used the fishing net to secure several key parts of the Whale Monster to make it easier to drag.

In the distance, after Wu Wen confirmed that the Whale Monster had no ability to resist, he slowly walked over. He opened his mouth, wanting to keep a calm expression on his face, but he couldn't maintain it. He slightly bowed and cupped his hands.

"Senior Hu, is there anything you need me to assist with?"

Lu Hu was stunned, noticing Wu Wen's unnaturalness and restraint.

It was just like Lu Dan back home.

No, it was even worse than Lu Dan. Lu Dan at least had ambition, while Wu Wen looked like he wanted to leave as soon as possible to avoid him.

Come on, this King is above the Grandmaster level. You're practically desperate not to interact with this King—have you never thought about improving yourself further?

"Awoo~" (Go fix your boat.)

For a moment, Lu Hu's desire to show off catching such big prey faded; it didn't feel that interesting anymore!

Forget it, I'll just tidy up and go home.

Wu Wen also breathed a sigh of relief and found his capsized boat. Previously, he had thought Lu Hu was a Grandmaster. Even if Lu Hu was stronger than him, they were still on the same level, so making jokes or bragging naturally didn't matter.

But now that he knew Lu Hu was an existence beyond a Grandmaster, he couldn't help but feel nervous. The gap was too large, making him dare not act presumptuously.

After flipping the boat upright, Wu Wen rowed it over to Lu Hu and said softly,

"Senior Hu, are you going back?"

After saying this, Wu Wen felt a bit awkward. He hadn't expected his voice to become so soft,

"Awoo~" (I wish you were still the same as before!)

Lu Hu jumped onto the boat and patted Wu Wen's shoulder. How could someone who spoke so boldly and had such a loud laugh turn into this?

"Brother... Hu is right!"

After hesitating, Wu Wen changed the address back and even smiled. The words were fine, but the tone just didn't have the same feeling as before.

"Sigh~"

Lu Hu sighed and didn't say anything. He retrieved his fishing rod, cut off a piece of meat from the Whale Monster, hooked it, and continued fishing.

Lu Hu didn't return. He had come out to fish for Crimson Molten Beasts, and he had already baited the area and even used a spirit ginseng seed; it wouldn't be worth it to trade all that for just one Crimson Molten Beast.

Moreover, the Whale Monster was still bleeding profusely. Although its blood couldn't compare to the blood essence of the two great beasts, it still had a trace of similarity.

The nearby seawater had already been dyed red, and the bait was set; it would be too much of a pity to leave now.

Besides, Wu Wen hadn't caught one yet. Lu Hu cast his hook out and then pointed at the now-deceased Whale Monster,

"Awoo~" (Keep fishing, cut a piece off to use as bait!)

"Many thanks, Brother Hu!"

Wu Wen cut a piece of meat from the Whale Monster and also began fishing again. As the hook was cast into the sea, Wu Wen's constrained heart gradually relaxed, and a smile appeared on his face.

Using the blood of a Crimson Molten Beast comparable to an invincible Grandmaster as bait—this time, he would definitely catch something big!

Gurgle, gurgle~~

The attraction of Lu Hu's spiritual power, the attraction of the spirit ginseng seed, and now the attraction of the blood from a Grandmaster-level Crimson Molten Beast—one Crimson Molten Beast after another arrived here.

The seawater was bubbling and extremely hot. The Crimson Molten Beasts were down below, fighting over the blood flowing from the Whale Monster, and following the scent of the spirit ginseng seed as they swam up. Crimson Molten Beasts were very gluttonous; they generally wouldn't miss a chance when encountering food.

The bait on Lu Hu's hook was the same. Before half an hour had passed, another Crimson Molten Beast bit the hook. This time, the Crimson Molten Beast wasn't as large, about fifty meters long, resembling a swordfish, with thick, long, and sharp spikes at the corners of its mouth.

It was just a Master-level Crimson Molten Beast that was about to grow to the Grandmaster level!

Lu Hu continued fishing. Soon, a golden lobster took the hook. It was even smaller, only about twenty meters, a First-Class Crimson Molten Beast.

The caught prey floated on the sea surface one by one, the smell of blood extremely heavy, attracting more and more Crimson Molten Beasts.

Lu Hu caught one after another. On Wu Wen's side, a Crimson Molten Beast also bit the hook. The first one was a large carp. When the second Crimson Molten Beast was pulled up, Lu Hu couldn't help but be stunned by its appearance.

"Awoo~" (Godzilla?)

A giant beast that looked similar to Godzilla was pulled out by Wu Wen. It looked like the Godzilla Lu Hu knew.

Its size was only about twenty meters tall, barely having First-Class strength; it was the type at the very bottom of the Crimson Molten Beasts.

Its appearance was very striking, but its strength was far too lacking; it was pulled up by Wu Wen with one hand.

Wu Wen was about to deal a lethal blow to kill this 'Godzilla' Crimson Molten Beast, but Lu Hu stopped him.

He found this 'Godzilla' too rare. It just happened to have legs and was an amphibious creature, so it would have no problem running on land.

Lu Hu wanted to keep it as a mount; this 'Godzilla' really hit the spot for him.

Thus, Lu Hu exchanged a Master-level Crimson Molten Beast with Wu Wen for the 'Godzilla'.

Trading a First-Class Crimson Molten Beast for a Master-level one—Wu Wen was naturally willing. After giving the 'Godzilla' to Lu Hu, he happily selected a huge Crimson Molten Beast!

With the 'Godzilla', Lu Hu didn't really fish for Crimson Molten Beasts anymore. Every once in a while, he would check on the 'Godzilla'. Since it was a Crimson Molten Beast, its personality was irritable, and right now it was in a manic phase after just having eaten blood essence.

Lu Hu didn't want to hurt the 'Godzilla', which caused it to be very fierce, occasionally roaring and baring its teeth at Lu Hu.

Lu Hu slapped it gently, one slap after another, intending to beat the 'Godzilla' into submission!

Wu Wen was still fishing for Crimson Molten Beasts. While Lu Hu was training the 'Godzilla', he was also slowly fishing for Crimson Molten Beasts. There were nearly twenty Crimson Molten Beast corpses floating on the sea surface, and the gathered blood aura shot straight into the sky.

The dense scent of blood spread further and further through the sea as time passed. In the pitch-black, tens of thousands of meters deep seabed, a giant beast suddenly opened two ferocious, scarlet eyes!

Boom!

Seemingly having smelled a familiar scent in the blood, the giant beast was enraged, and violent noises erupted from the pitch-black seabed.

The giant beast, its entire body burning with bright red flames, walked out of the seabed.

...

On the sea surface, Lu Hu, who was still training the 'Godzilla', suddenly looked toward the seabed. The boiling, bubbling water temperature was still rising, yet the sea surface was exceptionally calm. A rise in temperature meant there were Crimson Molten Beasts below, but Crimson Molten Beasts were so large that if they were swimming underneath, the sea surface shouldn't be this calm.

"Awoo~" (I have a bad feeling!)

Lu Hu's expression became grave. He didn't believe he would have this feeling for no reason; there was an inexplicable anxiety in his heart, as if danger were approaching.

Lu Hu turned back and looked at the already cold Whale Monster.

"Awoo~" (You go first, I feel like something is wrong!!)

Lu Hu wrote, telling Wu Wen to leave first.

"Brother Hu, take care!"

Wu Wen didn't ask further; taking the three Crimson Molten Beasts he had caught, he steered his boat away quickly.

After Wu Wen left, Lu Hu gathered all the dead Crimson Molten Beasts into his system storage, leaving only the 'Godzilla'.

Then, Lu Hu dived into the sea. After descending several thousand meters, Lu Hu finally knew the source of that ominous premonition.

A massive body covered in flames—at a glance, he knew who it was.

"Rongxiao~"

Lu Hu was puzzled. How did he attract Rongxiao here?

None of the Crimson Molten Beasts he caught were related to an octopus. The only one suspected of having a backer was that whale-like Crimson Molten Beast, which looked more like a descendant of the Dragon Kun!

Even if it were to avenge the Whale Monster, it should have been the Dragon Kun that came!

Why did Rongxiao come?

"Roar!!"

From a great distance away, Rongxiao's angry roar could already be heard.

"Time to run, time to run!"

Lu Hu grabbed the 'Godzilla' and ran away without a second word.

He didn't want to face a big guy like Rongxiao head-on for the time being!

Long after Lu Hu had left, Rongxiao finally arrived at Lu Hu's 'baiting' area. It sensed the smell of the Whale Monster's blood in the seawater but could not find the culprit.

Rongxiao's hundred-meter-long tentacles lashed out wildly as if in a rage, stirring the sea into turmoil.
