192: Chapter 192 The Final Result

Time in A-705 Laboratory seemed to be both compressed and stretched.

After a week of high-intensity hard work, everyone's movements carried exhaustion, yet their eyes closely followed every jump of data on the central control console.

The decoupled new system was undergoing its final and most severe integrated stress test.

On the screen, Rhesus Monkey number M15 was in a stable state, and the Mechanical prosthetic limb connected to it was executing a preset limit test sequence with amazing fluidity and precision.

"Load impact test passed! Response time 12.1 milliseconds, overshoot below 0.5%!"

A Researcher stared at the data of the module he was responsible for, his voice suppressed with excitement.

"Micro-operation sequence cycle 107 complete, precision deviation stabilized within ±5 microns!"

A confirmation came from another corner.

Li Wei stood before the main console like a steady first mate, her gaze constantly patrolling dozens of split-screen data streams.

"Bioelectric signal baseline is steady, no abnormal fluctuations. Microdialysis sampling at the interface shows stable ion concentrations; the buffer system is working normally."

Her voice was slightly hoarse, but every word was clear and powerful.

Wang Zhe, meanwhile, had practically welded himself to the algorithm monitoring terminal, where a waterfall of control instruction streams and feedback signals, parsed in real-time by enlightenment, flowed across the screen.

"Core control loop running smoothly, redundancy check reports no errors.

Dynamic filter efficiency is 98.7%, successfully suppressing three potential micro-interferences."

Chen Youhua was not fixed in one spot but paced slowly through the laboratory, his gaze occasionally sweeping over the overall status on the main screen and sometimes lingering behind a Researcher to glance at the subdivided data they were analyzing.

He didn't speak, but his presence itself was like a stabilizing force.

The test intensity was gradually pushed to the theoretical limit, even briefly exceeding the design redundancy.

The mechanical arm bore a load far beyond its normal usage range, executing nearly harsh combinations of high-frequency, high-precision movements.

One hour, two hours... six hours passed.

The data curves remained terrifyingly steady, as if it weren't a dynamic combination of a living organism and precision machinery, but a cold industrial machine tool in operation.

"Start the final test sequence," Chen Youhua's voice calmly broke the silence.

This was the last, and also the most insane, hurdle.

The system needed to simultaneously handle randomly generated high-load impacts, artificially introduced simulated signal noise, and sudden changes in task priority.

It was a test of the system's overall robustness and adaptive capability under conditions of extreme chaos.

The command was issued, and the data stream on the screen instantly turned wild; various indicators fluctuated violently, and alarm threshold lines were repeatedly touched and then pulled back.

Everyone's heart was in their throat.

Wang Zhe's fingers flew across the keyboard, quickly isolating the sources of interference.

Li Wei stared fixedly at the physiological monitoring interface, ensuring the biological side wouldn't spiral out of control due to the external chaos.

When the final interference signal vanished, the data on the screen was suddenly smoothed out as if by an invisible hand; all indicators returned to their optimal steady states with startling speed, as if the storm just now had never happened.

The ultimate test program ended automatically.

In the center of the main screen, a simple green dialog box slowly popped up. There were no cheering animations, no exaggerated sound effects—only a line of calm text.

"Stress test sequence passed. Integrated system stability assessment: 99.97%. No non-recoverable failures, no performance degradation."

The laboratory fell into an absolute silence that lasted over ten seconds.

One could have heard a pin drop.

Then.

"Whew..."

No one knew who let out that first long breath, like a deflating balloon—extremely exhausted yet extremely excited.

Immediately after, applause rang out like a tide, starting from a few scattered claps and quickly becoming fervent and sustained, mingled with cheers and shouts of relief.

Someone pounded the desk hard, someone took off their glasses to rub their aching eyes, and someone turned to hug the colleague next to them tightly.

Chen Youhua saw the state of everyone in the lab.

His face still showed no great waves of emotion, but the corners of his mouth twitched upward ever so slightly—a nearly imperceptible, genuine smile.

He raised his hand and pressed downward.

The applause and cheers gradually died down, and everyone looked toward him, their faces marked with lingering excitement and fatigue.

"In the past one hundred and sixty-eight hours,"

His voice wasn't loud, yet it reached everyone's ears clearly.

"What we have done is not simple patching."

He walked to the main console, pulled up the complex system architecture diagram, and pointed his finger at it.

"We have reconstructed its neural pathways, separated overly dense connections, established new reflex arcs, and endowed it with a powerful immunity against internal and external interference.

We have forged a theoretically excellent but fragile laboratory prototype into a truly reliable, industrial-grade work of art capable of human application."

His gaze swept across the room.

"That 99.97% on the screen is not the finish line.

But it means that the 8.3% risk that once caused us sleepless nights has been compressed to a degree that is almost negligible.

It means the prosthetic limb is now qualified to undergo the final inspection: human clinical trials."

He didn't say many inflammatory words, but every word struck home in everyone's heart.

"Now,"

His tone shifted.

"I require you to immediately save all data and back up all logs. And then..."

He paused, looking at the expectant faces.

"Drop everything in your hands and rest. Right now, immediately."

The command was unexpected, yet perfectly reasonable.

The crowd was stunned for a moment, then everyone burst into laughter, their tension completely relaxing.

"Li Wei, Wang Zhe,"

Chen Youhua looked at his two core members.

"At nine o'clock tomorrow morning, I want to see the final summary report of all data and the clinical trial risk assessment here. We need to use the most authentic data to knock on that door."

"Understood!" the two replied in unison, their voices without a hint of hesitation, only tempered steadiness and confidence.

The crowd began to disperse, carrying laughter and mutual words of encouragement.

The high-pressure atmosphere that had persisted in the lab for weeks was finally replaced by the joy of success and a brief moment of relaxation.

Chen Youhua remained alone in the gradually quietening lab, turned back to his office, and closed the door.

He picked up the phone and dialed a number.
