561: Laughing madmen, desperate prisoners

"Xiao Song! It's not me saying this, but this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Miss it, and it's gone."

"Take a gamble, and a bicycle can turn into a motorcycle."

"Listen to your uncle's advice, hurry up and run with me!"

"..."

Lin Jianjun earnestly tried to persuade Song Ze, pulling him to run outside.

Just then, a sudden burst of laughter from behind him, followed by a piercing, high-pitched scream, made him shiver all over.

When he turned around, cursing under his breath... the scene he witnessed made his eyes widen, and he stumbled back several steps on the spot.

The Warden, who had been lying on the ground, unconscious, was now awake.

He suddenly stood up, his face contorted in a wild grin, his expression one of utter madness.

He laughed excitedly, pouncing on the nearest bald inmate like a child seeing a beloved toy, or a beast tackling its prey... The bald inmate looked dazed, clearly not yet recovered from the sudden change, when the Warden tackled him to the ground.

Immediately, he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and involuntarily let out a cry of agony.

Rip—

Under the horrified and disbelieving gazes of everyone, the Warden bit into the bald inmate's shoulder, tearing off a piece of flesh.

"Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah—"

"Hahahahahahahahaha—"

"..."

Listening to the bald inmate's horrific screams, the Warden seemed incredibly happy, letting out a maniacal laugh.

Gulp~~~~~

Then, under everyone's shocked gazes, he began to devour the bald inmate.

This bloody scene completely stunned everyone around.

???????

What's going on???

Why did this guy suddenly go crazy???

Zombie?

Due to the influence of modern TV shows and movies, everyone's ability to accept things was quite strong.

The concept of "zombies" immediately popped into everyone's mind.

But looking at the Warden's behavior, he didn't quite seem like one.

Aside from his maniacal laughter, he was essentially no different from a normal person in other respects.

"Warden! Are you crazy?"

"You son of a bitch! Let go of my big brother, or I'll kill you!"

"..."

Thanks to everyone present being hardened criminals, many of whom were incarcerated for murder.

Therefore, their tolerance for such bloody scenes was much higher than that of ordinary people.

Seeing the Warden laugh maniacally and lower his head, intending to continue harming their accomplice from the bank robbery, they immediately rushed forward fiercely and kicked the Warden to the ground.

Immediately after, the others swarmed forward, pinning the Warden to the ground.

Perhaps because his fun was ruined, the Warden twisted his body violently, struggling and letting out angry roars.

But the next second, he shrieked with laughter, spewing constant obscenities:

"You sons of bitches, let go of me!"

"Otherwise, I'll shove the taser into your XXXXXX, hahahaha..."

"..."

Listening to those absurd and vicious curses.

One inmate, his temper flaring, cursed and rushed forward, using all his might to deliver a kick squarely to the Warden's face.

Crack—

Almost instantly, the Warden's nasal bone fractured, blood gushed out, and two of his front teeth were knocked out.

One could imagine the force behind that kick.

But what was strange was... a normal person, hit in the face by such a powerful blow, 99% would be in excruciating pain, their face contorted, crying out incessantly.

Yet, the Warden not only showed no sign of pain but instead let out an excited howl, as if he had been electrocuted.

He seemed to have completely lost the ability to feel pain, or rather... his entire head was immersed in an endless ecstasy, he had completely lost his mind.

What he cried out was not pain, not pleas for mercy.

Instead, he laughed maniacally, cursing and telling the inmates to kick him again, to continue, saying it felt good, comfortable, and other such bizarre and strange reactions, which even these hardened criminals, who had done all sorts of evil, had never heard of, causing them to retreat several steps in fear.

"Damn! This lunatic! He's a real psycho!"

One of the bolder ones cursed a few times to steel his nerves, picked up the taser that had fallen to the ground, and slammed it hard onto the Warden's forehead.

Fortunately, even though the Warden's behavior was very strange.

His physical condition still fell within the range of an ordinary person, and that blow knocked him unconscious.

Looking at the Warden lying on the ground, still wearing a ferocious, maniacal grin on his face.

The group looked at each other, unsure what to do next?

..."X-Xiao Song, I think we should leave here first..."

"Help me up, I feel a bit weak in the legs..."

"..."

Lin Jianjun, who had lived a life of luxury and comfort, had never witnessed such a bloody and perverse scene before, and he was immediately scared pale, his legs trembling uncontrollably.

If Song Ze hadn't been quick to react and held him up, he might have collapsed directly to the ground.

Ding-a-ling—

Just then, the prison alarm, pulled by who knows who, rang out.

The entire prison was immediately filled with a loud alarm, piercing the silent night.

Bang!!!!!!

Just as Lin Jianjun and the others looked bewildered, completely unsure how to act, another loud bang came!

Everyone jumped in fright, instinctively turning to look, and saw the cell block door kicked open.

A group of inmates in prison uniforms rushed in as if their lives depended on it.

Looking closely, weren't those their fellow inmates who had just left?

They were in an incredibly miserable state.

Several of them had broken arms and legs, their bodies stained red with blood, and they were letting out heartbreaking cries of pain.

Everyone was full of panic, running and wailing incessantly, as if a devil... was chasing them from behind... "They've gone mad! Mad! Everyone's gone mad!"

"Help! Is it the end of the world?"

"Wuwuwu... Damn it! I was supposed to be released in two months, why did I have to run into such bad luck now?"

"..."

Seeing this, Song Ze quickly grabbed an inmate who ran past him, anxiously asking:

"What's happening outside? What are you all so scared of?"

But the inmate he grabbed was clearly terrified out of his wits.

Screaming, he kicked Song Ze to the ground and continued to flee to the other side of the corridor without looking back.

"Damn it! If you don't want to talk, then don't! Why hit me?"

"Xiao Song, are you alright?"

"..."

Lin Jianjun had a very good impression of Song Ze, the only person in the prison who showed him kindness, and quickly went to help him up.

"Uncle Lin, I'm fine. But we..."

Song Ze shook his head, just about to say something more, when his ears twitched, and he turned his head in alarm.

He heard a cacophony of curses and maniacal laughter, rising and falling, approaching their position from the dark corridor corner.

Soon.

Under the terrified gazes of Lin Jianjun and the others, a large group of madmen with grotesque smiles plastered on their faces rushed out from the corner.

Most of them were wearing prison uniforms, both men and women, and several of them were even prison guards.

As soon as these madmen, covered in crimson blood, spotted Lin Jianjun and the others, the maniacal grins on their faces widened even further.

They excitedly charged towards everyone, spewing all sorts of deranged obscenities.

"You, you, you... what do you want to do? Help ah ah ah ah—"

The inmate closest to the corner was immediately grabbed. He was just about to cry for help.

But the next second, a laughing prison guard raised a blood-stained fire axe and brought it down on his face...
