Surely he has left the king now. Why would he stay beside such a dumbass king? Now die, all of you."

They thought Alex had left Ethan because Ethan was ordering him around, since they could not hear the telepathic conversation.

Ethan was getting annoyed because that puny bug kept calling him dumbass again and again.

So he came out of the carriage.

Slowly, he started walking toward those adventurers.

Jonathon wanted to follow him, but Ethan stopped him with a single look.

He stopped in front of Sam and asked calmly, "You were saying something?"

This time Sam could not tolerate the coldness in Ethan’s eyes and attacked directly without saying anything.

Ethan smiled when he saw someone attack him first.

This rule of not attacking unless provoked was a bullshit rule.

Humans were the dumbest species in creation. They could not control their emotions and would react with just the slightest provocation.

They looked at Ethan with trembling eyes.

Then they saw Ethan slowly raise his hand and snap his fingers.

Sam instantly turned into a blood mist. Then Ethan unleashed a fraction of his aura upon them.

The nineteen adventurers all fell to the ground. Their knees shattered, and blood poured from every orifice.

Ethan did not kill them though.

Killing one was enough.

They felt as if they were standing before a god at that moment.

What was that? How could the king of a mortal kingdom be this powerful? How?

Everything was over. They had messed with the god of death.

When they were waiting for their turn to be turned into blood mist, they heard Ethan’s voice.

"I don’t want to see you again in front of me. Get lost."

He just wanted to make them fear him. Nothing more. He wanted to build his reputation. Now the variable was the guild master. Was he normal or abnormal?

If abnormal, then how much?

The adventurers were still kneeling. They had lost control of their bodies and could not move.

"Minister, what if I become his personal assistant? Sir Alex is the general now. I don’t have to be on the battlefield, right?"

Nilim snorted coldly. "Why would his majesty want an old donkey like you as his personal assistant? My three daughters are more suitable for that job. They would even be able to fulfill his other needs."

Jonathon instantly came back to his senses. This old bastard was trying to seduce the king with his three daughters.

"My baby girl is also at that age. She is more beautiful than your daughters. She would be more suitable."

Nilim turned red with anger.
