The vast 100th floor was so silent it seemed the universe itself held its breath.

Ethan faced the Grand Supreme, Odin Astralith, progenitor of the Primordial Humans. They would fight bare-handed. No amplification skills. No elemental domains. Both of them had equal raw power—64 quadrillion tonnes.

Ethan looked at Odin, who had a profound look of sovereignty in those eyes. They carried the loneliness of being the strongest of his realm and having no opponent to fight. Odin tilted his head, studying him with calm, fathomless eyes.

Ethan slipped inside Odin’s guard, throwing a sharp uppercut that connected with the Grand Supreme’s ribs.

Odin didn’t even flinch. His counterblow landed square on Ethan’s shoulder, sending pain lancing down his arm.

But Ethan’s eyes gleamed.

He pivoted, twisting to fire an elbow into Odin’s jaw. Odin raised a palm to catch it—only for Ethan to feint and stomp down at Odin’s knee instead.

The Grand Supreme’s leg buckled by half an inch. For the first time, Odin’s calm mask cracked with a spark of surprise—and something like joy.

"Good," he said softly, voice deep as the ocean.

The next instant, Odin surged forward. Ethan could only react by pure reflex—blocking a straight punch that sent him skidding backward across the polished white floor. He caught himself, breathing hard. His shoulder throbbed. Though they both had similar strength, Odin was the progenitor after all.

Outside the tower, Aurelia, watching through projection, pressed a hand over her racing heart.

"He...he’s holding his ground against the progenitor."

Genos swallowed, eyes wide.

"No...he’s doing more than that."

Most of the younger generation never saw the grand supreme in their life,but today for Ethan’s sake,they could finally see his face though it was a projection of his younger self. Still their eyes were full of reverence and fanaticism.

The Supremes observing from their Thrones were silent. Even they had not seen the Grand Supreme pressed like this. They had tried to fight him in every realm but were obliterated before they could even go near.

Ethan closed his eyes just for a heartbeat.

Focus.

He let everything else fall away—techniques, skills, scheming. Only instinct remained.

He exhaled.

And stepped in.

Odin threw a hook toward his head—fast enough that an Emperor would have seen only a blur.

Ethan didn’t dodge. Instead, he ducked just enough to graze past the strike, planted his right foot, and drove an uppercut straight into Odin’s diaphragm with every ounce of force he possessed.

A deep, muffled concussion rocked the floor, though it did not crack. Odin’s body folded forward. But he recovered instantly—grabbing Ethan’s arm and spinning, hurling him over a shoulder.

Ethan flipped in midair and landed in a crouch, panting. Sweat stung his eyes. His knuckles were split and bleeding.

Odin straightened, expression more alive than any Ethan had ever seen.

"You truly are remarkable."

Ethan rose again.

One more exchange. That was all he needed.

He flicked a bead of blood from his fingers. His eyes locked with Odin’s.

They charged.
