Chapter 115 Wen Huilin breaks down, Yu Fei blocks her way again.
Wen Huilin raised her head. She heard the sound of shoes being changed at the entryway, then the sound of keys being placed on the shoe cabinet, followed by the sound of water being poured, and finally, footsteps in the living room.
She stood up and pushed open the master bedroom door, only to see Chen Ang standing by the coffee table drinking water, his coat still on.
Hearing the footsteps, Chen Ang put down his glass and looked over.
Wen Huilin appeared disheveled, her eyes slightly red and swollen, looking utterly devastated and haggard, like a fallen woman who had been raped.
Chen Ang immediately chuckled and asked, "Why aren't you asleep yet at this hour?"
After speaking, he walked over to the sofa, sat down heavily, and leisurely lit a cigarette.
"Chen Ang, did you take Xiaotian's insurance?"
"Hmm? I canceled it. What about it?"
"That was bought by Xiaotian's grandfather for him, it's his security. Did you ask me before canceling it? By what right did you cancel it?"
Wen Huilin couldn't hold it together anymore and shouted at Chen Ang with a hoarse voice.
"Xiaotian's grandfather?" Chen Ang frowned and let out a laugh. He held the cigarette between his fingertips, glanced at her, and said, "That's my father, and besides, I am Xiaotian's father. Tell me, by what right shouldn't I cancel it?"
"Chen Ang, what exactly do you want?" Her voice rose sharply, and she asked with a ferocious expression.
But it lasted less than a second before she switched to an almost pleading tone. "Tell me, why are you like this?"
"Don't you know?" Chen Ang exhaled a puff of smoke, watching her face change through the gray-blue haze.
Unable to bear his direct gaze, Wen Huilin turned her head away and said stubbornly, "But that was your son's security. Have you ever thought about him at all? Do you only care about yourself?"
At this moment, her voice was trembling—not faked, but truly trembling.
"My son? What is his surname? Tell me." Chen Ang squinted his eyes, his sharp gaze piercing her.
Wen Huilin was speechless; her throat felt blocked by something.
She wanted to say, You know, you really know.
But she remembered she couldn't say it; she couldn't admit it.
If she admitted it, everything would be gone.
"He is your son, of course his surname is Chen. What is wrong with you?" Her voice softened again, her aggressive aura drained away, leaving only fatigue and tentative pleading.
Then, she walked to Chen Ang and crouched down, looking up at him with weak eyes. "Chen Ang, are you preparing to divorce me? I know you've always disliked me. Can you tell me the truth?"
Chen Ang flicked the cigarette ash and lowered his gaze. "Are you misunderstanding something again?"
"What misunderstanding?" Wen Huilin couldn't stand Chen Ang's attitude, her voice becoming sharper. "You canceled the insurance and isolated the Company's money. You've prepared everything, just waiting to kick me out, right?"
"You're overthinking it." Chen Ang leaned back on the sofa, his tone extremely flat. "I canceled the insurance because that money belonged to my father in the first place; it has nothing to do with you. As for divorce, if you haven't done anything wrong, what are you afraid of?"
He still wouldn't admit it; was he still calculating?
Wen Huilin felt a chill wash over her again. Enduring the numbness in her feet, she gripped the sofa armrest, her nails digging through the fabric.
She heard her chest thumping; it was her heart beating wildly and uncontrollably.
She suddenly realized that the loss-mitigation measures she had thought of could not wait any longer.
She needed to secure the property deeds, hide the gold jewelry, and find someone to ask about selling the house as soon as possible.
She was afraid that if she waited any longer, Chen Ang would block all paths, leaving only one.
That would be to force her into court as the defendant, complete the divorce process, and end the marriage exactly as it began.
"You must have met with Jian Ting again today, right?" Chen Ang exhaled the last puff of smoke and spoke suddenly.
His tone was casual, but to Wen Huilin's ears, it sounded like a thunderclap.
Her body instantly stiffened. She knew Chen Ang knew everything; her every move could not escape his eyes.
She didn't answer, but that momentary stiffness had already betrayed her.
Chen Ang casually extinguished his cigarette, stood up, shook out his clothes, and smiled down at her. "Your best friend should be suspended by now, and she will likely be fired."
"Sigh, look at the kind of friends you make—breaking the law while knowing it, treating national laws as nothing. I heard you reported Hengxing Investment; you didn't incite her to break the law, did you?"
"People shouldn't be that wicked; there will be retribution."
Wen Huilin's hands could no longer support her body. Her legs went weak, and she slumped to the floor.
She looked up at Chen Ang, seeing not a hint of sympathy, only the playfulness in his eyes and the mockery on his face.
Chen Ang took two steps, then suddenly turned back and smiled at her. "Tomorrow, your father is inviting us to dinner, don't forget. It's not easy for them to visit Bin City; you should at least show some filial piety."
Without waiting for Wen Huilin's answer, Chen Ang went to the entryway, changed his shoes, and left.
Tonight, the two of them had laid their cards on the table. Chen Ang didn't dare sleep here; if this woman turned on the gas in the middle of the night, it would be a huge loss if he died.
Hearing the click of the door lock, Wen Huilin finally realized that Chen Ang had left.
She was beyond tears. She stared up at the half-drunk glass of water on the coffee table and the ashtray with the last wisp of smoke, a sour, stinging moisture welling up in her eyes.
She wasn't crying, but tears flowed out silently. Suddenly, she felt very cold. She reached out and hugged her knees, and then her body began to convulse.
She thought of Chen Ang mentioning dinner with her father tomorrow night, and recalling his cold sneer, her heart fell into an icy abyss once again.
She didn't even dare to guess what Chen Ang would do by then.
But she knew clearly that it would definitely be something to make her life miserable.
Thinking this, she buried her head in her knees and began to sob loudly.
At this moment, she finally realized her helplessness, knew her fear, and felt regret.

Chen Ang stepped out of the stairwell, and the night wind blowing on him instantly made him feel a chill.
While he was sending a message waiting for a designated driver, his WeChat lit up.
Looking down, it was a message from Yu Fei: "Man, are you asleep yet?"
Chen Ang thought for a moment and replied, "Something up?"
Before he could get a reply, his phone rang. After picking up, Yu Fei's sweet, cloying voice came through: "Can't sleep? Do you want to keep each other warm?"
His mind immediately conjured up Yu Fei's plump, smooth body. "Can't you have any other ideals in your head?"
"You know my ideals best." Yu Fei giggled. "Come over to my place when you're free. Don't refuse just yet; I have some news I'm preparing to tell you."
"About Tu Yuandong?" Chen Ang tightened his coat and asked.
"Whether you listen or not is up to you. I'll only wait for you for half an hour." Yu Fei hung up immediately after speaking.
Chen Ang held his phone in front of him, took a look, and shook his head with a smile.
Today, Company sent a notice of supply cutoff to Company. Tu Yuandong must have some plans, and it just so happened that Yu Fei found out.
This woman knew that her usual seduction likely wouldn't make him comply, so she used this news to seek intimacy.
Chen Ang sometimes really didn't understand her thought process, nor did he understand why her libido was so strong.
He even suspected that Tu Yuandong had never satisfied her.
The bentley drove into Qiongjing Garden and stopped near Building 12. As soon as Chen Ang got out of the car, he saw warm lights glowing in the house.
She was waiting for him, so impatient?
