Chapter 125 Brothers' Gathering

"You damn..." Wen Huilin broke down again, raising her clenched fist as if wanting to hit Chen Ang, but ultimately lacking the courage.

Her expression shifted rapidly; once again, she felt a sharp pain in her chest, her vision began to darken, and her legs gave way, causing her to nearly collapse.

Chen Ang ignored her condition, gave her one last look, and then said indifferently, "If you're sick, go get treated. Don't delay until you regret it for the rest of your life."

Having said that, he walked out of the corridor without looking back.

Finally, it quieted down. Wen Huilin leaned against the wall with one hand, taking quick, deep breaths, trying to calm her surging emotions.

At this moment, her face was deathly pale. Her mind was filled with Chen Ang's foul language and his look of extreme disdain and indifference.

She suddenly realized that Chen Ang didn't even seem to hate her anymore; all that remained was naked, undisguised loathing.

She stood there for a long time without moving.

Two minutes later, she finally calmed her agitated emotions.

She knew that without any concrete evidence, she couldn't do anything to Chen Ang.

But in her mind, she kept replaying Xue Shanshan's expression from earlier. She was certain that it was clearly the lingering amorous glow of a woman who had just been intimate.

She sneered inwardly.

Since Chen Ang and Xue Shanshan were having an affair, she might as well get the evidence herself.

As long as she saw Chen Ang and Xue Shanshan in bed together with her own eyes, and photographed or recorded it, that would be ironclad proof of Chen Ang's infidelity.

When the time came, she would present this evidence in court and see how Chen Ang could still maintain that high-and-mighty attitude in front of her.

She wanted to ensure Chen Ang could never recover in the divorce proceedings.

She rubbed her palms, which had been pricked by her nails. Her eyes were full of resentment and anger; these emotions turned into a raging fire, burning away her reason.

At this moment, the family's face was trampled underfoot by her hatred. Her mind was filled with only one thought: to get the evidence and completely ruin Chen Ang's reputation.

Chen Ang exited the Qianxi Hotel, and the designated driver was already waiting at the entrance.

Just as he sat in the backseat, his phone rang. Tan Xiaolei's name flashed on the screen.

"Boss Ang, Yu Liang and I are having a late-night snack in the University Town. Are you coming over? It's at Uncle Bing's Seafood in Xuefu Lane."

The background noise on Tan Xiaolei's end was very loud, filled with the clamor and the crisp clinking of beer bottles against the tables.

"How did you two end up there?"

"I happened to be scouting the area today, so I called Yu Liang. Sister Xin said she wanted to eat the marinated seafood in the University Town, so we arranged to meet up. Hurry up, the food just arrived."

Tan Xiaolei urged him anxiously.

Chen Ang hung up, gave the address to the designated driver, and the bentley turned around and headed towards the University Town.

The bentley pulled into the public parking lot outside Xuefu Lane.

When he got out of the car, it was just past ten o'clock. Xuefu Lane was at its liveliest, and the neon signs from the shops on both sides illuminated the ground in a kaleidoscope of colors.

After walking less than a hundred meters, the bustle hit him head-on, and the aroma of various seafood barbecues and stir-fried snacks filled his nostrils.

Uncle Bing's Seafood had been open for over a decade. Back when Chen Ang was in university, he was a regular here, and every time he came, he would order the marinated small seafood and charcoal-grilled oysters.

Back then, Director Xu Qingwan always complained that it was too smoky, but every time he ordered the food and brought it over, she would eat more than anyone else.

Even after he graduated and opened a bar, he came here often. But later, after his family went bankrupt, he never came again.

"Over here." Yu Liang raised his hand to greet him.

Chen Ang squeezed over and sat on a plastic stool. Tan Xiaolei picked up a bottle of Fenjiu and was about to pour him a full glass.

Chen Ang immediately stopped him.

Tan Xiaolei slapped his hand away and said righteously, "I'm telling you, Boss Ang, don't be pretentious. In this life, you have to have a bad habit; that's the only reason you love life."

Chen Ang was stunned and cursed, "I love life more now than ever before, because to this day, I haven't found a single downside to having money."

He reached out, pulled over a draft beer mug, raised an eyebrow at Yu Liang, and said, "Yu Liang, fill it up."

Yu Liang shook his head and smiled, then pried open a bottle of beer and filled it for him.

Chen Ang pushed away Tan Xiaolei's baijiu, "I drank clear spirits tonight; if I drink more, I won't be able to handle it."

"Fine. You have money, so what you say makes sense." Tan Xiaolei stopped insisting and, after Yu Liang filled his glass, raised it.

After downing half a glass in one gulp, Chen Ang set the glass down and looked at Yu Liang, "I'm just about ready on my end. Can you arrange for Tu Yuandong's arrest warrant tomorrow?"

Yu Liang pulled out a tissue and wiped his mouth, "Yes, I'll make the call first thing tomorrow morning. Guo Yonggen and Nickname have both confessed. I read their statements this afternoon; he won't be getting out anytime soon."

A smile appeared on Chen Ang's face; he had been planning for this day for a long time.

"By the way, when are you planning to release that evidence of tax evasion?" Yu Liang turned his head and asked.

Chen Ang picked up a sea snail, put it in his mouth, and said vaguely, "Just like you said, drain him dry first, then release it."

Yu Liang grinned and didn't say anything more.

Beside them, a confused Tan Xiaolei slapped the table and asked, "What kind of riddles are you two speaking in?"

Yu Liang ignored him.

Chen Ang laughed, "I'm getting a divorce. I'll be filing a lawsuit with the court tomorrow."

Tan Xiaolei was stunned, "Buddy, you're rich now, so you're abandoning your wife and child?"

After saying that, he shook his head violently, "No, that's not right. You're not that kind of guy. There must be some scandal behind this."

Chen Ang smiled bitterly.

Yu Liang burst into laughter.

While Tan Xiaolei was bewildered, Yu Liang stopped laughing, "There is indeed a scandal."

As he spoke, he gestured towards Chen Ang with his chin and winked at Tan Xiaolei, "The one with the scandal is his wife. This guy got cheated on."

Tan Xiaolei was stunned again and mechanically picked up his glass and took a sip, "Buddy, look on the bright side. She just found someone else, it's not like she found money."

Then, he reached out and patted Chen Ang on the shoulder, "Listen to your brother, don't be sad. Think about it: you're the one who struck it rich, doesn't that make you feel a lot better?"

"Get lost." Chen Ang laughed and swatted his hand away, "Which eye of yours saw me feeling sad?"

Yu Liang couldn't help but chuckle, raised his glass, and said, "Neither of us is sad, let's drink."

After another round of drinks, Tan Xiaolei finally learned about the fraudulent parenting and the seven years of being a sucker.

Consequently, he looked at Chen Ang with immense sympathy, shaking his head and sighing repeatedly, as if he were the one who had been cheated on.

"Then what about your family? You and Chen Zhuo are both getting divorced at the same time. Your dad has such a short temper, and your mom's health..." Tan Xiaolei asked as he picked up a peanut and put it in his mouth.

"My mom already knows; she's aware of the situation. My dad is working quite enthusiastically at Company now. When he finds out the truth, having work to focus on will keep him from collapsing."

Chen Ang placed his glass on the table and turned to ask Tan Xiaolei, "How is the research on your end going?"

Hearing this, Tan Xiaolei put down his chopsticks and pulled a folder out of his briefcase.

"I was just about to tell you. According to preliminary calculations, based on a minimum rental ratio of 8%, the annual demand for rental housing here is between 8,000 and 10,000 units."

"The available rental properties in the surrounding area are mostly old residential communities, with almost no new supply. The rental yield is about four to five percent. It's not high, but the demand is stable, and the vacancy rate is very low."

"I suggest we start by acquiring those two apartment buildings at the north gate of Bin University. There are about two hundred units in total, the property rights are clear, the owner is eager to sell, and the price can be negotiated down to about 80%."

Chen Ang took the document and flipped through a few pages. The data was clearly listed, including analysis of surrounding competitors, rental comparisons, and investment return periods.

He closed the file, pushed it back, and smiled, "Manager Tan really has some substance."

Tan Xiaolei chuckled and put the folder back into his briefcase, "That's right, buddy is a legitimate Company general manager after all."

"By the way, you mentioned last time that you wanted to find Hongyang. I asked him..."
