270: Chapter 270 Liu Zaiyong is fired

"Come, come, brother, let me toast you again."

Seemingly afraid that Qin Chuan wouldn't drink enough, Liu Zaiyong poured two more full glasses of liquor, using these large glasses.

Qin Chuan didn't decline. The two clinked glasses, and this round was finished clean as well.

After finishing this glass, both of them had consumed the equivalent of about six or seven taels of white liquor. Liu Zaiyong wasn't as anxious anymore; he picked up his chopsticks and said, "Come, come, everyone, eat. I heard the dishes at this restaurant are quite good, everyone should have a taste."

The drug would take effect in about ten minutes. He wanted to eat a few bites before that happened; there was so much food, it couldn't be wasted. He couldn't end up having barely eaten anything and be left hungry.

Qin Chuan also picked up his chopsticks, and everyone began to eat while chatting and laughing.

After eating a few bites, District Mayor Shao Changqing raised his glass. "Comrade Liu Zaiyong, this is the second time we've sat down to drink together. Thank you for hosting us again; I'd like to toast you."

He laughed heartily.

Liu Zaiyong was delighted. Soon he would be able to watch Qin Chuan make a fool of himself, so drinking a few more glasses didn't matter. He raised his glass quite readily.

Next, everyone toasted Liu Zaiyong one by one, thanking him for paying out of his own pocket to host the meal.

After drinking a few more rounds, Liu Zaiyong felt something was a bit off. Why was it always him doing the drinking, while Qin Chuan sat on the side with a smile on his face, eating food and watching the show?

This wouldn't do.

He filled the glasses again and began to toast with Qin Chuan. The two seemed like old drinking buddies, and the atmosphere was very harmonious.

"Brother, I admire your tolerance. We've both had over a jin, haven't we? Yet you're acting like nothing happened."

Qin Chuan smiled, picked up a piece of food to eat, and said, "Comrade Zaiyong, your tolerance isn't bad either. Anyone who can drink over a jin is considered to have a massive capacity."

The two were just blowing smoke at each other.

After a few more drinks, they had likely consumed at least a jin and a half each, and there were already three or four empty moutai bottles on the side.

The ten minutes were also up.

Liu Zaiyong didn't notice that something was wrong with himself. He was highly agitated; his voice grew much louder, and his movements and actions became a bit exaggerated.

The others shook their heads slightly. Fine, it seemed he was drunk again. They just hoped he wouldn't make a scene like last time; the Central Party School was not far away, and many people were dining here.

"Waiter, why is there no more liquor!"

"Hurry up and get over here, bring… bring me a case of moutai, be… be quick about it."

Fang Xueqing reminded him, "Liu Zaiyong, you're drunk again. There are still two unopened bottles here."

Seeing the waiter approaching, she even waved her hand, signaling for the person to leave and not come over.

"No need, he is drunk. We still have liquor here."

With a "bang," Liu Zaiyong kicked the chair over onto the floor, pointed at the waiter, and threatened, "Who said I'm drunk? Who told you to leave? Come over here and apologize to me."

That wasn't enough to satisfy him. He rushed up and slapped the waitress hard across the face with a loud "slap," using a lot of force.

Everyone at the table was stunned. After reacting, someone grabbed him and said, "Zaiyong, you're drunk. I'll take you back."

"Get lost, I'm not drunk, I'm perfectly sober."

Liu Zaiyong shoved the person away, picked up a chair, and began smashing things violently, shouting loudly as he did so.

"I'm going to smash this damn hotel, smash it to pieces."

Seeing this, everyone was scared and scrambled to avoid him. Someone tried to go up and persuade him to stop but almost got hit.

Smashing the private room wasn't enough. He carried a chair and smashed his way along, from the room to the corridor, then to the first-floor lobby, and even smashed the restaurant's front desk.

The hotel deployed several security guards to finally pin him down. The police arrived quickly, and after understanding the situation, they took Liu Zaiyong to the Police Station to sober up.

As the class monitor, Qin Chuan communicated with the police and negotiated with the restaurant, promising to compensate for all losses at full price. Of course, the one paying was Liu Zaiyong; it was impossible for anyone else to foot the bill.

After watching the police take Liu Zaiyong away, Qin Chuan immediately called Professor Sun Gang and told him the situation in detail, exactly as it happened.

"Professor Sun Gang, we didn't expect Liu Zaiyong to be like this. After drinking a little, he started acting like a drunkard again and smashed the restaurant to pieces..."

After reporting everything, Qin Chuan apologized quite self-reproachfully.

Professor Sun Gang said, "This matter is not your fault. You communicated and negotiated with the restaurant immediately and prevented the situation from escalating; you have done very well."

Since he was fine and Professor Sun Gang didn't blame him at all, but instead praised his handling of the situation, Qin Chuan felt relieved.

Back in his dormitory, sitting on the sofa, Qin Chuan couldn't help but laugh. This Liu Zaiyong had originally wanted to drug him, but he had messed it up again.

The news quickly spread in the class group chat, and the whole class was discussing the incident heatedly.

"It's Liu Zaiyong again. This is a classic case of someone who can't hold their liquor but loves to drink; his behavior while drunk is just terrible."

"He smashed the restaurant to pieces, and there were people from the provincial and ministerial level training class dining there at the time. Liu Zaiyong has had a terrible influence!"

"I don't know how he managed to get into our class. I hope the school handles this severely for someone like this!"

"..."

The impact of this incident was indeed significant and truly brought shame to the Central Party School. Soon, the matter reached the higher-ups of the Party School.

After hearing about this, the vice president in charge was so angry that his face turned livid, and he demanded that such a person must be expelled and sent back.

The next morning, even though it was Saturday and everyone was resting, the Party School demonstrated extremely high efficiency, and the official disciplinary document was quickly posted.

Liu Zaiyong, expelled!

This was extremely rare. Everyone who could come to the Central Party School for training was a pride of the system, and everyone cherished this opportunity very much.

Basically, no one had ever been expelled. Liu Zaiyong set this precedent. This incident would have a huge impact on his political career. After being sent back to the Southwest Province Organization Department, Southwest Province would also take further serious disciplinary action; even if his father were the Governor of Southwest Province, it wouldn't help.

The next morning, Liu Zaiyong was released. He wasn't detained, presumably out of respect for the Central Party School.

After getting out, Liu Zaiyong immediately learned that he had been expelled. He was instantly so angry he could spit blood; he wished he could grab a knife, rush to the Central Party School, and slash Qin Chuan.

He blamed everything on Qin Chuan, never looking for the cause within himself.

Returning to the Central Party School to complete the relevant procedures and pack his personal belongings, Liu Zaiyong felt utterly disgraced, his face burning with shame.

After packing his things, the more he thought about it, the angrier he became. Hatred and rage caused him to lose some of his reason, and he made some extreme moves.

Unable to bear the resentment in his heart, he rushed to the door of Qin Chuan's dormitory and pounded on the door forcefully.

Everyone was in the same training class and lived in the same dormitory building. Furthermore, he and Qin Chuan were on the same floor. Usually, when the two met, Liu Zaiyong always wore a smile and greeted Qin Chuan enthusiastically and proactively, pretending as if they were very good friends.

Now he wasn't pretending anymore. His face was gloomy and ugly. He pounded on Qin Chuan's door and shouted sternly, "Qin Chuan, come out! I know you're in there!"
