110: Chapter 110 Sweeping Them All

It was 3:00 AM, and Changyuan County was still shrouded in darkness.

Chen Dong stood at the entrance of the Dongting Club, watching the dense crowd before him, his lips slowly curling into a smile.

Over sixty people—this was all he had to his name.

These people included the thugs he kept at his club, hoodlums hired from out of town, and three small-time business owners he had coaxed onto his side.

The three business owners stood beside him, their faces showing some trepidation. One middle-aged man with a bald head rubbed his hands together and asked, "Brother Dong, although Wei Heng is inside, there are still quite a few people at Hengmo Logistics. If we go over with so many people, won't it cause too much of a scene?"

Chen Dong patted his shoulder and said with a relaxed laugh, "Old Sun, what are you afraid of?"

"Wei Heng can't get out of there, and what kind of waves can a woman like Financial Director Wei Xue possibly make?"

"Tonight, we'll wipe out the Hengmo Logistics warehouse in one go and swallow their fleet. From now on, the logistics in Changyuan County will be ours."

"As for the venues and territory of Sihai Group, whoever has the strength gets to take them."

"Follow me, and you can choose whether to eat meat or drink soup."

The bald man swallowed hard and fell silent.

Chen Dong glanced at his watch, waved his hand, and said, "Let's go."

A dozen or so cars drove out of the county in a grand procession, their headlights forming a long dragon.

Chen Dong sat in the black Mercedes-Benz at the front, crossing his legs and tapping his fingers lightly on his thigh.

He recalled Deputy Director Chen Ling's roaring over the phone last night. He hadn't said a word at the time, and as soon as he hung up, he turned off his phone.

Deputy Director Chen Ling was getting old, his courage shattered by a mere twenty-something-year-old punk.

No matter how capable Director Xu Weidong was, he was just a bureau chief. Changyuan County was so big; could he really manage everything?

Once tonight's business was done and Hengmo Logistics was gone, he would be the leader of the underground forces in Changyuan County.

By then, it would be uncertain who Deputy Director Chen Ling would have to rely on.

And once he was firmly established, he would be able to openly taste his cousin...

As for that useless brother-in-law, he could just give him a little push from behind.

The motorcade stopped at the entrance of the Hengmo Logistics warehouse. At this moment, the warehouse gates were wide open, and it was brightly lit inside.

Financial Director Wei Xue stood alone in the center of the warehouse, with nothing but empty space behind her; there wasn't a single soul in sight.

She was wearing a red deep-V bodycon dress today, the hem reaching just to the middle of her thighs. On her feet were a pair of black stiletto heels, and she stood under that blindingly bright floodlight.

Chen Dong pushed the door open and entered. Upon seeing her attire, his eyes went wide.

He had seen Financial Director Wei Xue many times before, always in a suit and shirt with her hair tied up meticulously, but today she was far more captivating.

His gaze slid from her face to her collarbone, then from her collarbone to her chest. The neckline of the red dress was cut too deep—so deep that it was impossible to look away.

"General Manager Wei."

Chen Dong walked over, sat down opposite her, and crossed his legs.

"Just you alone? That group of people under Old Wei is really not loyal enough."

Financial Director Wei Xue looked at him without speaking.

Chen Dong's gaze swept over her legs, and he licked his lips. "General Manager Wei, is this outfit today specially worn for me?"

The lackeys behind him began to jeer; some whistled, some cackled, and others whispered lewd remarks to each other.

Chen Dong placed his hand on the tabletop, leaned forward, and lowered his voice. "Financial Director Wei Xue, let me be honest with you."

"Your brother is inside, and Hengmo Logistics is now a piece of fat that anyone can take a bite of."

"But I don't want just a bite; I want to swallow the whole thing."

"If you're sensible and hand over all of Hengmo Logistics' contracts, ledgers, and client lists, I guarantee your brother won't suffer inside."

He paused, his gaze landing on her chest again.

"Of course, if you let me have some fun, who knows, I might even be able to help you get your brother out."

"I have people in the Public Security Bureau; you know what I mean."

The lackeys behind him laughed even harder; some shouted, "Brother Dong is mighty!" while others shouted, "Hello, Sister-in-law!"

The bald man stood in the corner, his expression very complex, but he said nothing.

Financial Director Wei Xue just stood there, looking down at Chen Dong as if looking at a dead man.

Chen Dong felt a bit unnerved by this look, but the alcohol and his lust emboldened him. He leaned in closer and reached out to touch her hand.

"Financial Director Wei Xue, don't be ungrateful."

"Tonight, this warehouse is filled with my people, inside and out."

"Even if you scream your throat out, no one will come..."

Before he could finish speaking, a screeching sound of brakes suddenly came from outside the warehouse.

It wasn't just one car; it was the sound of a dozen or so cars braking simultaneously, their tires screeching against the pavement.

Immediately following that was the sound of dense footsteps—rhythmic, heavy, and carrying a certain irresistible pressure.

Chen Dong's smile froze on his face. The warehouse gates were pushed open from the outside, the light spilling out to illuminate the dense crowd of figures at the entrance.

They weren't his people... they were the damn police.

Riot shields formed a wall, and the eyes beneath the steel helmets were as cold as iron.

Standing at the very front was Director Li Zhongmin, holding a megaphone, his voice exploding inside the warehouse.

"Nobody move! Police!"

Chen Dong stood up abruptly, his chair toppling backward with a harsh screech.

His face turned from red to white, his eyes bulging as if they were about to split, his lips trembling as he squeezed out a few words.

"Financial Director Wei Xue, you bitch!"

Financial Director Wei Xue stepped back twice, her high heels clicking steadily against the floor with every step.

She looked down at Chen Dong, a hint of a smile appearing at the corner of her mouth.

"Chen Dong, I told you long ago not to get cocky."

Chen Dong's face turned completely pale. He spun around abruptly, trying to run, but the entrance had already been blocked off.

Over sixty people were trapped in the warehouse; some crouched down with their heads in their hands, while others tried to run for the back door, but that too was blocked.

Deputy Captain Wang Tiejun led his men in to surround them from the back. With a pincer attack from the front and back, not a single one could escape.

Director Li Zhongmin strode in, his gaze sweeping over Chen Dong, over the ashen-faced lackeys behind him, and finally landing on Financial Director Wei Xue.

He nodded at her, said nothing, and simply waved his hand.

"Take them all away."

The police surged forward like a tide washing over a dam.

Chen Dong was pressed down by two police officers holding his shoulders. He struggled and turned his head, staring fixedly at Financial Director Wei Xue, his eyes bloodshot.

"Financial Director Wei Xue, you fucking wait! The day I get out..."

"You won't get out."

Financial Director Wei Xue said lightly, "Chen Dong, do you know who is leading the team tonight?"

Chen Dong was stunned for a moment.

Financial Director Wei Xue didn't look at him again and turned to walk out of the warehouse.

Her high heels clicked against the concrete floor—tap, tap, tap—each step steady and unhurried.

Several police cars were parked outside the warehouse, their lights rotating silently in the night. The alternating red and blue light fell on her, making her red dress look exceptionally striking.

She walked over to a black Passat, and the window slowly rolled down.

Director Xu Weidong sat in the back seat, his expression impassive. He glanced at the chaotic scene inside the warehouse, then looked at Financial Director Wei Xue, his gaze lingering on her attire for a moment before he said nothing.

"Director Xu."

Financial Director Wei Xue bent down, her voice very low.

"All of Chen Dong's people are inside. The other three club owners are there too; not one of them escaped."

Director Xu Weidong nodded. "Thank you for your hard work."

"Go back and rest. Leave the rest to the bureau."

Financial Director Wei Xue straightened up and took a step back.

The police cars drove away one after another, the lights gradually fading into the distance, and the area in front of the warehouse became quiet again.

Financial Director Wei Xue stood where she was. The night wind blew, pressing her skirt against her calves, and it felt chilly.

She looked down at her outfit and suddenly felt a bit ridiculous.

Dressed like this, she still couldn't move Director Xu's heart. It seemed she really was getting older.

She took out her phone and sent a message to her brother Wei Heng's lawyer.

"The matter is finished; the necessary procedures can proceed."

After sending it, she tucked her phone into her bag and turned to walk toward her car.
