224: Chapter 224 Setting a Trap
When Zheng Wan arrived, Zheng Ze could not take his eyes off her.
She was wearing a black low-cut dress with a very deep neckline, the patch of snowy skin dazzlingly white under the lights.
The dress clung to her body, outlining an exaggerated waist-to-hip ratio, the hem short enough to barely cover the tops of her thighs.
Her long legs, wrapped in black silk stockings, were straight and slender, and she stepped in a pair of red high heels with heels as thin as chopsticks.
The moment she walked into the private room, Zheng Ze's Adam's apple bobbed, and the corners of his mouth curled up unconsciously.
Chairman Zheng Yan sat at the head of the table, and watching Zheng Ze's pathetic state, the last trace of hesitation in his heart vanished.
He beckoned for Zheng Wan to sit, then gestured for Zheng Ze to sit, picked up his wine glass, and spoke in a flat tone.
"Little Ze, I called you here today with no other intention. Our siblings haven't gathered in a long time; let's just have a meal together."
"As for the past, let bygones be bygones; let's not mention it."
Zheng Ze hurriedly picked up his wine glass, stood up, and bowed deeply to Zheng Wan, his voice filled with sincere remorse.
"Sister, I was a bastard before; I wasn't human. These years abroad, I have reflected every day, regretted every day."
"I know I was wrong. Give me a chance to turn over a new leaf. I will definitely live properly and never do those bastard things again."
Zheng Wan looked at him, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly. The smile was faint, like a mask painted on her face.
She raised her glass, clinked it against his, took a sip, and spoke in a voice as light as the wind.
"Let bygones be bygones; let's not mention it."
Chairman Zheng Yan watched this scene and drained his glass in one gulp.
He said nothing, nor did he need to say anything.
Zheng Wan was his younger sister, and Zheng Ze was his younger brother, but he only had one younger sister, while he had two younger brothers.
Protecting his younger sister was a brother's responsibility.
Even if this brother had to use the most cruel method to deal with the other younger brother.
After three rounds of drinks, Chairman Zheng Yan started talking more.
He wrapped his arm around Zheng Ze's shoulder, talking about how hard it was to make it out there over the years, how he felt terrible about the old man's serious illness, and how he hoped the siblings could get along well.
Zheng Ze nodded repeatedly and said, "Second Brother, don't worry. I will definitely change; I will definitely live properly."
Zheng Wan sat on the side, occasionally chiming in, occasionally smiling, like a dutiful supporting character playing the most appropriate role in the play directed by her brothers.
Chairman Zheng Yan soon became "drunk." He slumped on the table, muttering something unintelligibly.
Zheng Ze pushed him, but couldn't wake him up.
He looked at Zheng Wan, his gaze sweeping over her—from her chest to her waist, from her waist to those long legs wrapped in silk stockings—and the smile at the corners of his mouth grew deeper.
"Little Sister, Second Brother is drunk. Let me take you two to the hotel to rest. I have already arranged the rooms."
Zheng Wan glanced at Chairman Zheng Yan. He lay motionless on the table, his breathing steady and long, looking completely unconscious from drink.
She nodded, her voice soft, carrying a hint of tenderness that made one's heart itch.
"Okay, sorry to trouble you."
Zheng Ze helped Chairman Zheng Yan out of the private room, with Zheng Wan following behind him.
The driver had already brought the car to the entrance. Zheng Ze shoved Chairman Zheng Yan into the passenger seat and helped Zheng Wan sit in the back seat.
The moment the car door closed, his hand "inadvertently" rested on Zheng Wan's thigh. Through the thin silk stockings, he could feel the warmth and softness of her skin.
Zheng Wan did not dodge, nor did she speak.
His hand slowly wandered over her leg, from the knee to the thigh, and from the thigh to the edge of the skirt.
His breathing became heavier and heavier, his throat drier and drier.
He leaned in, his lips pressing against her earlobe, his voice as low as a specter drifting out of hell.
"Little Sister, you are so beautiful."
Zheng Wan closed her eyes, her eyelashes trembling slightly, like two startled butterflies.
She did not speak or move, letting his hand roam over her body.
The night outside the window grew thicker, and the city lights retreated rapidly past the car window, like flowing rivers of iridescent light.
The car stopped at the hotel entrance. Zheng Ze got out first and reached out to help Zheng Wan.
She handed him her hand and got out of the car, her high heels making a crisp sound on the ground.
Zheng Ze opened a suite, and Zheng Wan followed him in, standing in the center of the living room with her back to him.
He closed the door, hugged her from behind, his lips pressing against the back of her neck, his hands moving up from her waist.
"I have missed you for so many years."
Zheng Wan did not speak, nor did she struggle.
She stood there like a lifeless sculpture, letting him vent those dirty desires on her.
He turned her around and lowered his head to kiss her lips. She turned her head away, and his kiss landed on her cheek.
He didn't care, eagerly pushing her toward the bed.
She fell onto the bed, her skirt flipping up, revealing the edge of her black silk stockings and lace underwear.
He pounced on her, fumbling to undo his belt.
Just at this moment, the door was knocked upon.
"Open the door! Police!"
Zheng Ze's hand froze. He was stunned for two seconds, then hurriedly fastened his belt and walked to the door to open it.
Several uniformed police officers were standing outside the door. The one in the lead flashed his badge, his gaze passing over him to land on Zheng Wan in the room.
She was lying on the bed, her skirt flipped up, her hair disheveled, with no expression on her face.
"Someone reported that a crime is being committed here. Please cooperate with the investigation."
Zheng Ze's face instantly turned pale, and his heart panicked completely.
"Crime? What crime? She is my wife; we were just playing around."
"Wife?"
The police officer glanced at him, then looked at Zheng Wan on the bed.
"This lady, is what he said true?"
Zheng Wan suddenly sat up, tears streaming from her eyes.
"He is not my husband! Help! Help!"
Two police officers walked quickly to the bedside, holding Zheng Wan's shoulders to soothe her emotions.
Zheng Ze stood where he was, his mind blank.
He looked at Zheng Wan's tear-stained face, looked at that faint, almost imperceptible smile at the corners of her mouth, and suddenly understood everything.
This was not an accident; it was a trap.
Everything was a setup by Second Brother!
A police officer was checking Zheng Ze's bag. He found a few small, colorful pills in the lining, and then pulled out a black handgun from an inner pocket.
His expression changed, and he held up the handgun and the pills in front of Zheng Ze.
"What is this?"
Zheng Ze's legs went weak, and he leaned against the wall like a pile of mud.
He looked at those pills, looked at that handgun; he didn't know when he had brought these things with him.
He had never had the habit of carrying such things, let alone the habit of carrying a firearm.
But the things were in his bag, in the room he had booked, and the woman he was pinning down was his own sister.
He could not defend himself!
The police did not give him a chance to explain, and with a "click," handcuffs locked onto his wrists.
"Zheng Ze, you are suspected of attempted rape, illegal possession of drugs, and illegal possession of a firearm. You are now being criminally detained in accordance with the law."
"You have the right to remain silent, but everything you say will be used as evidence in court."
He was dragged out of the room by two police officers.
