159: Chapter 159 Beauty Offensive
When Wang Jianguo was pushed into the room, his steps were still unsteady.
The perfume was cloyingly sweet, drilling into his nose and making him feel even more dizzy.
Boss Qian walked in front, pushed open the door, and turned back to give him a lewd grin.
Wang Jianguo opened his mouth to say something in refusal, but his throat felt as if it were blocked by something, and the sound he made was as garbled as sleep-talking.
Wang Jianguo's fingers recoiled as if burned, yet they also felt stuck, unwilling to pull away.
Boss Qian smiled and backed out. The door closed with a soft click, as if nothing had ever happened.
The room quieted down, leaving only the low hum of the air conditioner.
The pressure was neither too light nor too heavy, and the coolness of the fingertips made his scalp tingle, so comfortable that he wanted to sigh.
It was a young face with delicate features, makeup applied with just the right balance, and eyes that sparkled.
He should walk out of this room, return to his car, drive back to Hukuang Township, and pretend that nothing happened tonight.
But his body wouldn't listen to him; it felt as though he were nailed to the bed, his limbs as limp as noodles.
The woman smiled, the curve of her lips just right.
Wang Jianguo swallowed, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down.
He thought of his wife at home, her face growing increasingly slack and her mouth becoming more and more nagging.
He especially recalled the stifling frustration of having his meager monthly salary strictly controlled, and the humiliation of having been holed up in Hukuang Township for so many years without ever landing a decent position.
He hadn't experienced the feeling of being fawned over by others for many years.
The blue-and-white porcelain-patterned tube top dress shifted, revealing a large expanse of fair, supple skin.
The room lights were still on, glaringly bright, but no one cared anymore.
At the other end of the corridor, Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming was led into another room.
His steps steadied as he entered the room. His gaze swept around, finally landing on the woman sitting on the sofa, and his pupils constricted sharply.
"Zhang Xinxin!"
She was Director Jiang Xin's college classmate and best friend who had come to work in Changyuan County after graduation.
She was wearing a sexy, revealing outfit. Her black spaghetti-strap dress was so short it barely covered the tops of her thighs, and the neckline was cut very low, revealing deep collarbones and an expanse of snowy white skin.
Her hair was worn loose, with big waves cascading over her shoulders. Her makeup was impeccably exquisite, and her lips were painted a dark red that shimmered with a dangerous luster under the lights.
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming was stunned; he knew this woman all too well.
Because she was Director Jiang Xin's best friend, she would come over for dinner during every holiday, and every time she saw him, she would act indifferent.
It was one thing for Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming to be looked down upon outside, but to be mocked by his wife's best friend at home—he had been bottling up this humiliation for years.
She walked up to Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming, tilted her face up to look at him, her eyes filled with a tenderness and allure he had never seen before.
Her former coldness and disdain had vanished without a trace, replaced by a deliberate, fawning flattery.
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming looked at her, his mouth twitching in a way that could have been a cold sneer or mockery.
"Zhang Xinxin? Why are you here?"
Zhang Xinxin took his arm and pulled him toward the sofa, her voice sweet and soft, filled with deliberate fawning and coquetry.
"Boss Qian invited me here. He said you were here and asked me to keep you company."
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming was pressed onto the sofa by her. She didn't sit across from him but sat right beside him, her thigh pressed against his. Through the thin fabric, he could feel the warmth and softness of her skin.
She picked up a wine glass from the coffee table and held it to his lips, tilting her head slightly to reveal her slender neck and delicate collarbones.
"I'd like to offer you this drink as an apology."
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming didn't take the glass. He recalled the scenes of being mocked by her over the years, the things she had said about him in front of Director Jiang Xin, and the disdainful expression she wore whenever she mentioned him to others.
"Damn, so you, this woman, have a day like this too?"
Once, when he was drinking with others and had too much, he had said something under the influence of alcohol.
"Zhang Xinxin is so seductive; she must be very uninhibited in bed. She's just jealous that Director Jiang Xin found a partner, and since she has no one to vent her heat on, that's why she's so sharp-tongued."
The people beside him roared with laughter, slapping his shoulder and saying, "Old Hu, how do you know what she's like in private? Maybe she's already been around."
Those were drunken words he had forgotten as soon as he said them, but he never expected that today, the woman he could only fantasize about in his drunkenness would actually be sitting beside him.
And she was dressed in sexy, revealing clothes, looking at him with that fawning, flattering gaze, waiting for him to nod.
"Tonight is truly full of surprises!"
Boss Qian poked half his body in from outside the door, wearing that greasy smile, his tone as fawning as if he were serving his own father.
"I heard there was a little misunderstanding between you and Ms. Zhang, so I specifically invited her here to help you two resolve it."
"Rest assured, this place is absolutely safe; no one will disturb you. Please, take your time, I won't bother you."
The door closed, leaving only Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming and Zhang Xinxin in the room.
Zhang Xinxin held the glass to his lips again, her lips brushing close to his ear.
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming took the glass but didn't drink; he set it on the coffee table.
He leaned back against the sofa, crossed his legs, and watched Zhang Xinxin. His gaze slid from her face to her neck, down to her chest, and then to her thighs, unmasked, filled with the pleasure of revenge suppressed for many years.
"Zhang Xinxin, didn't you look down on me quite a bit before? What's this, have you changed your tune now?"
Zhang Xinxin's expression flickered, but she quickly recovered that alluring smile, pressed herself against him, her chest pushing against his arm, her voice becoming even softer.
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming laughed, a smile filled with the satisfaction of finally vindicating himself. He reached out and pinched Zhang Xinxin's chin, lifting her face to force her to look at him.
"Back at the dinner table, you said to my face that I wasn't as good as Director Jiang Xin's first love, who is a deputy director at the County Hospital."
"Have you forgotten?"
Zhang Xinxin's smile stiffened, and her eyes darted away, but she quickly steadied herself.
She reached out and took Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming's hand, moved it away from her chin, held it in her palm, and interlaced her fingers with his. Her voice dropped, low enough to sound like a confession.
"If you are unhappy, you can hit me or scold me, whatever you like."
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming looked at her face, at her fawning, pathetic appearance, and a surge of indescribable satisfaction welled up in his heart.
This woman, who was once high and mighty and indifferent to him, was now lying at his feet like a dog, waiting for him to bestow a little kindness.
He placed his hand on her thigh, her smooth skin glowing like ivory under the lights.
He moved it slowly upward; with every inch he moved, her body tightened.
"Zhang Xinxin, are you here today to keep me company?"
Zhang Xinxin bit her lip and nodded, her lashes lowered, not daring to look at him.
"Then do you know what you should do?"
Zhang Xinxin looked up at him, her eyes filled with an indescribable emotion, something like humiliation, yet also resignation.
She reached out and undid the first button of his shirt...
Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming leaned back on the sofa, closed his eyes, and let her hands wander over his body.
At this moment, he felt that having power was just so damn satisfying!
At the other end of the hotel, Boss Qian stood in the corridor, lit a cigarette, took a puff, and slowly exhaled.
He took out his phone, dialed a number, and let it ring a few times.
"General Manager Zhou, everything is arranged. Regarding Xu Weidong, Financial Director Wei Xue has already gone in."
"The people around him have also been dealt with. Wang Jianguo and Deputy Party Secretary Hu Ming are both in their rooms, and both have company."
"When do you think we should make our move?"
There was silence on the other end of the line for a few seconds, followed by a steady voice.
"No rush. Let them have a good time. The longer it goes on, the better the show."
"Wait until daybreak, then send someone to knock on the door."
"Remember, take photos, record video, make sure they can't deny it even if they try."
Boss Qian acknowledged, hung up the phone, stubbed out his cigarette in an ashtray, and a cold, sinister smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.
