351: Chapter 351 Aerial Chase

The group of five had dark expressions, staring unkindly at Nie Ning.

Just because Nie Ning didn't kill didn't mean they would leave any survivors.

For people like them, leaving no survivors was a rule of survival.

Since Nie Ning was a newcomer and not a local, he didn't want to offend the Bloom Family too much.

The five exchanged looks; time was short, and no matter how much dissatisfaction they felt, now was not the time for further negotiations.

The leading wizard waved his hand to collect the eight pieces of nether spirit gold, gave Nie Ning and his companion a deep look, and then led his people directly toward the other side of the barrier.

Seeing this, Nie Ning breathed a sigh of relief.

If this continued, he would have had no choice but to forcibly open the barrier and flee.

However, with Xiao Guang's strength, he clearly wouldn't be able to buy enough time to open a passage while fighting five people.

Once he was interrupted, he would have to tank the opponents' output himself.

Although he wasn't afraid, no one wanted to end up covered in injuries and forced into a pathetic escape.

Without further delay, Nie Ning and his companion went to the other side and used Earth-Splitting Force to open a passage.

But just as they were about to leave, Nie Ning turned to look at the group of five; they seemed to be using an array to break through the barrier.

Seeing that they were about to open a passage, Nie Ning gave Xiao Guang a look.

Xiao Guang nodded, and green specks of light gathered around him, manifesting into a Green Light Fox.

As the Green Light Fox opened its mouth, terrifying Elemental Power rapidly condensed within.

"I knew you were up to no good!"

The Tier 5 Knight on the other side seemed to have noticed long ago and shouted angrily at Nie Ning's side.

Drawing the longsword from his waist, he raised his hand and unleashed a Brown Thunder Beast that charged toward Nie Ning and Xiao Guang.

An energy cannon blasted from the Green Light Fox's mouth, colliding with the opponent's thunder beast.

*Boom!*

A violent explosion rang out, and a terrifying energy shockwave submerged the entire manor.

Nie Ning summoned the xielin turtle shield to block the shockwave, then pulled Xiao Guang and retreated from the barrier.

Both parties flew into the sky at that moment.

Looking at each other from afar, both sides saw the displeasure in each other's eyes.

Suddenly, both sides turned to look in another direction; several points of light were rapidly rushing toward the manor.

"Damn bastards, I'll make sure you die a horrible death!"

Jerry's furious voice echoed from the distance.

Nie Ning and the group of five exchanged a glance; there was no time for trash talk. Energy surged around both parties as they transformed into streaks of light and fled toward the outskirts of the city.

...

...

Half an hour later.

Nie Ning and Xiao Guang sped through the air, with several figures trailing closely behind them.

"What the hell, why are they chasing me!"

Nie Ning looked back, his expression turning sour.

Clearly, the other group had more people and a higher chance of having the nether spirit gold, yet these people were relentlessly pursuing them.

What surprised Nie Ning was that Jerry could actually keep up with their speed!

It could only be said that he truly had some skill, as expected of someone from a major family.

At least in terms of resources, he wasn't someone Rogue Wizards like them could compare to; any random treasure he pulled out would likely be more valuable than most of the things on Nie Ning's person.

Watching the Bloom Family Transcendents in pursuit, Nie Ning constantly mulled over a countermeasure.

Although he was strong, there were at least three Fifth-Order Transcendents following behind.

As for Jerry...

He had already been automatically ignored by Nie Ning.

Running fast didn't mean one was strong.

Besides, the opponent was only at the late stage of the Fourth Order; could he be stronger than him?

Facing three Fifth-Order Transcendents, Nie Ning's side had almost no chance of victory.

Even Xiao Guang would be doing well to handle two Mid-stage Fifth-Order opponents.

But as for the other Fifth-Order, Nie Ning would find it very difficult to contend with them.

Even if both sides were at a stalemate, once the opponent's reinforcements arrived, the situation would only become more disadvantageous.

Moreover, this couldn't go on; it was one thing not to be able to shake them off, but he also couldn't lead them toward Yishi Mansion.

Otherwise, even if he escaped, once these major families started investigating, it would likely be easy to trace his origins.

"Do I really have to lead them to the canyon?"

Nie Ning's expression darkened as he thought of the Golden-Patterned Wind-Gathering Fly he had encountered before.

But they had helped Xiao Guang back then and hadn't shown any ill intent.

If he brought the Bloom Family Transcendents there, it might lead to bad consequences.

"It seems I have no choice but to kill them."

A sharp glint appeared in Nie Ning's eyes.

Originally, he hadn't wanted this; offending a Sixth-Order Expert was not a wise move.

However, there were no better options right now.

If he relied on the Corruptor, as long as Xiao Guang could stall the two Fifth-Order opponents, even if they couldn't kill them all, he could find another opportunity to escape.

Thinking of this, Nie Ning looked at the mountain range and swamp ahead.

He nodded to Xiao Guang beside him, and the two of them quickly fled toward the mountains.

...

As Nie Ning and Xiao Guang entered the mountains, Jerry and his three companions lost track of them.

"Damn bastards, they must be hiding here. Everyone, split up and search."

Jerry said with a gloomy expression, looking at the mountain before him.

A Fifth-Order Wizard stepped forward, looking hesitant: "Shouldn't we just wait here for the others to arrive? If they ambush us, the situation might turn against us."

This mountain range wasn't large, and the opponents were definitely hiding in this area. Clearly, waiting for teammates was the safest method.

"What if they escape?"

Jerry's expression turned cold as he looked at the other three: "If my father finds out that not only is the nether spirit gold gone, but Korda is missing too, you should know what the consequences will be, right?"

He had already lost face significantly at the auction house, and now he had even lost Korda.

What happened today had exceeded expectations; he had to resolve this as quickly as possible before his father returned.

"Fine then, we'll split into groups of two."

Thinking of Siberg, the three eventually compromised.

Better safe than sorry. If these people really escaped, Jerry, as Siberg's son, might not be in trouble, but the same couldn't be said for them.

Jerry's cold expression softened slightly as he gave the three a reminder.

"Be careful. Since they came to snatch Korda, they must be fully prepared. Send a signal immediately if you encounter them."

The others nodded, then split into two groups and rushed into the mountain range below, searching through the forest.

...

Meanwhile, in the dark wetlands, Nie Ning was already prepared, waiting for the Bloom Family Transcendents to arrive.

Once these people were dealt with, they would leave the Dark Swamp area as quickly as possible.

With the Bloom Family's capabilities, they likely wouldn't be able to trace them, at least not in the short term.

Before long, two figures appeared in Nie Ning's sight.

Looking at Jerry and another Early-stage Fifth-Order Wizard, Nie Ning couldn't help but tighten his grip on the xueyan bladeless.

Just then, an explosion suddenly sounded not far away.
