384: Chapter 384 Life is meaningless

Half a day later.

A massive island floating in mid-air appeared in front of the warship.

Beneath the island lay a plain. On the extravagant island, mountains and rivers stretched on, with exotic beasts playing and frolicking in the wilderness, while countless modern buildings stood among them.

The entire island was encased in a semi-transparent barrier. Directly above it was a massive circular halo, making the brilliant starry sky visible even during the day against the blue sky.

As the warship passed through the barrier, Nie Ning and the others officially entered the territory of Yishi Mansion.

Soon, the warship came to a halt at a port.

Nie Ning and the others disembarked from the ship. Looking around, they saw all kinds of small flying vehicles zipping past nearby.

However, seeing a golden flying vehicle that looked like a coiled snake, Nie Ning couldn't help but remark: "Don't you guys regulate this at all?"

Beside him, Amelia's expression remained cold, but a bored Amivika leaned in, laughing as she spoke.

"That piece of crap belongs to a wizard approaching the seventh rank. Why don't you go handle it?"

Upon hearing this, the corner of Nie Ning's mouth twitched slightly.

He couldn't even defeat a powerhouse among the fifth rank; challenging a wizard nearing the seventh rank would be suicide.

"Follow me, everyone. Yishi Mansion has already arranged rooms for you all."

Amelia, standing to the side, turned and called out to the crowd.

As the crowd responded, Amelia acted like a tour guide, leading them inside without even glancing at Nie Ning.

"Young man, you still need to work harder."

Just then, an old man passed by Nie Ning, patted him on the shoulder, and said with a smile.

Nie Ning curled his lip: "She is the eldest young lady of Yishi Mansion, after all. It's normal for her to have a bit of a temper."

The old man before him was Hardy, a peak fifth-rank knight who had been on the same ship as him. Even more coincidentally, they had both been living in the dining hall.

The difference was that he had been kicked out by his wife...

And so, the two people with nowhere to live gradually became acquainted.

Although Nie Ning was only a fourth-rank, his reputation as a creator of transcendent artifact had already spread among high-rank Transcendents.

It must be said, many people still had self-awareness.

Perhaps because the Clothing Store hadn't been demolished yet, combined with Nie Ning's status as a creator of transcendent artifact, many people had already assumed he and Amelia were a couple.

"That may be so, but your recent behavior..."

Hardy said, quickly glancing at the masked Amivika beside him; the implication was very clear.

For talented individuals, having multiple wives was a very normal thing.

But Amelia was, after all, the eldest young lady of Yishi Mansion; doing this was somewhat unethical.

Not to mention, Amelia's father was a seventh-rank powerhouse.

This kid had some real guts, actually daring to bring someone to Yishi Mansion. Was he really not afraid of being pulverized into dust?

"I'm not saying..."

Nie Ning was about to explain, but a woman hurried over to Amivika.

"Teacher Amivika, you've finally returned! We've missed you so much lately."

The woman shouted, hugging Amivika's shoulder with a look of pleasant surprise.

Hardy, standing nearby, nearly popped his eyes out upon hearing this.

'What the hell? Amivika? The one who is the wife of the Yishi Mansion master?'

Looking at the Yishi Mansion token at the woman's waist, Hardy turned his head mechanically to look at Nie Ning.

The two of them were 'roommates' after all, and he had seen how Amivika had been throwing herself at Nie Ning lately. Now, you're telling me she is the wife of the Yishi Mansion master?

Nie Ning didn't know how to explain it for a moment, and in the end, he could only shrug helplessly.

'Forget it, just let the world end.'

Seeing this, Hardy couldn't help but gasp, feeling as if his heart couldn't take it anymore.

"So it's in that direction. I see. Thank you for telling me, Excellency. What a beautiful view; I won't disturb you any further."

Hardy began to ramble incoherently, hurriedly pretending not to know Nie Ning, and chased after the direction where Amelia and the others had left.

There was no helping it; anyone who encountered someone trying to eat both mother and daughter would have this reaction, especially since the parties involved were the wife and daughter of the Yishi Mansion master.

If he happened to get implicated by this guy, he would truly be the laughingstock of the Transcendents in Blood Rainbow City for the rest of his life, and even surviving the ordeal would be a question.

"I have already divorced the Mansion Master. Didn't he tell you? This is my new husband."

Amivika suddenly grabbed Nie Ning's shoulder and said with a smile.

Never mind the stiffened female student; Hardy, who hadn't walked far, tripped over his own feet upon hearing this and nearly fell to the ground.

Hardy didn't even know how to complain anymore; he felt that Nie Ning's trip was likely doomed.

And those who hadn't left yet looked at the two with expressions of shock.

What had they just heard?

The Mansion Master's wife got a divorce and then competed with her own daughter for a man?

'Good heavens, if this were written into a play, it would probably have high ratings.'

However, Amivika didn't care about the gazes of others at all; she even held onto Nie Ning's shoulder, refusing to let go, as if intentionally showing off.

At this moment, a flash of gloom crossed Nie Ning's eyes; he wished he could cast a Chaos spell on Amivika.

Unfortunately, that move couldn't attack people...

In that case, he was truly afraid he wouldn't be able to leave this place alive.

After all, even the Yishi Mansion master wasn't willing to announce this matter. If it spread, where would the Yishi Mansion master save face?

Besides, this was the apprenticeship ceremony, and basically all the powerful and influential people in the vicinity had come; it was no different from a public execution.

Nie Ning felt completely cold inside; now he just wanted to play a song for himself, "Cold, cold night..."

"Teacher, stop teasing me. That trick doesn't work anymore."

The female student puffed out her cheeks, glanced at Nie Ning, and said pouting.

Amivika got along very well with her students, and it wasn't the first time she had joked around, but this time, the joke had gone a bit too far.

If this were to spread, it would have a significant impact on the reputation of Yishi Mansion.

Amivika blinked and smiled, patting the female student's head: "Be good. This time I'm not joking; I really have remarried."

"Don't listen to her nonsense, she's joking."

Nie Ning still wanted to struggle; he pulled his arm free from her grasp and hurriedly explained.

"Do I need you to tell me that?"

The female student glanced at Nie Ning sideways, looking quite displeased.

After all, Amivika represented Yishi Mansion and was a famous beauty in the vicinity. Who was this kid to have the right to joke around with Amivika!

"Fine, I can't be bothered with you. Later, I will have your Mansion Master say it himself."

Seeing that her student still didn't believe her, Amivika couldn't be bothered to explain anymore.

There was no helping it; it was mainly because she usually spoiled them too much, leading them to think she was joking no matter what she said.

Amivika then glanced at Amelia and the others who had left, then grabbed Nie Ning's shoulder again, smiling as she spoke.

"Let's go. That small courtyard of mine shouldn't have been repossessed yet; let's stay there tonight."

And Nie Ning had a look of complete despair.

However, Amivika's strength was surprisingly great, and there was even a binding force of wind power on Nie Ning.

Regardless of whether Nie Ning agreed or not, she dragged him and walked in the opposite direction of Amelia.
