132: Disappointing results

As soon as Elder Shen stood up, he was stuck by a blue, freezing ice ball emitting cold air.

In an instant, Elder Shen felt a chill surge through his body. His movements slowed down immediately, and the ice ball continued to deal damage to him.

Elder Shen's speed was greatly affected, making it impossible for him to catch the extremely fast Blue Demon.

Commander Ma, however, managed to close in quickly. He used Soul Devouring Hand to control the Blue Demon and knock it down, then immediately followed up with Rage Burst.

Blood-red energy erupted, surging through the Blue Demon's body and dealing a massive amount of damage.

Captain Yang also stepped forward to attack, while the Second Prince quickly switched to Silver Bullets and fired continuously at the Blue Demon.

Captain Yang shouted in surprise, "Second Prince, didn't you just learn Burst Bullets? This is clearly an ice-attribute demon. Why are you using Silver Bullets?"

The Second Prince finally realized his mistake. He pulled a grenade from his waist, threw it, and quickly switched his ammunition to Burst Bullets.

Before he could attack, he heard a scream from Elder Shen behind him. He had actually been frozen to death by that blue ice ball.

Once Elder Shen died, the ice ball did not disappear; instead, it drifted straight toward the Second Prince.

The Second Prince shuddered in fear and quickly used a Sliding Tackle to distance himself from the ice ball.

As soon as the Second Prince left, the ice ball stuck itself onto Commander Ma. Commander Ma gave the Second Prince a resentful look before screaming and falling dead.

It turned out that Commander Ma had been attacked several times by the Blue Demon and was already low on health. Just as he was about to step back and use Death Defiance, he was tagged by the ice ball.

Commander Ma was very close to Captain Yang, and the ice ball stuck to Captain Yang without giving him any chance to dodge.

Although Captain Yang was currently in a Super Armor state, he was suffering miserably. On one side was the continuous health drain from the ice ball, and on the other were the heavy slaps from the Frost Demon; he simply couldn't hold out.

After Captain Yang died, the ice ball and the Blue Demon headed straight for the Second Prince. The Second Prince raised his gun and fired. As the Burst Bullets passed through the Frost Demon's body, he discovered to his surprise that the blue ice ball actually disappeared under the flames splashed by the Burst Bullets.

Before the Frost Demon could reach the Second Prince, Elder Shen and the two captains revived. The Shockwave generated by the revival knocked the Blue Demon down.

The three of them quickly reapplied their buffs and charged at the demon once again.

After the demon stood up, it released the floating cold air balls again. The Second Prince quickly used Burst Bullets to scatter them.

Now, without the interference of the cold air balls, Elder Shen went all out. He threw a barrage of punches at the Blue Demon. After learning new skills, Elder Shen's combos were even smoother, pummeling the Blue Demon so hard it couldn't even touch the ground.

With a final Straight Punch, the Blue Demon finally fell dead.

However, the group did not relax, knowing that a new battle was about to begin.

Sure enough, after the Blue Demon died, five figures instantly appeared, all wearing different animal onesies.

It was the same Abyss Party that Jian Wuxie and the others had encountered before.

"Be careful, there's one more person than last time!" Elder Shen warned in a heavy voice.

Then, Elder Shen stood in place and struck a prayer-like pose.

At that moment, a Gunner wearing a giraffe onesie suddenly threw a grenade at Elder Shen.

A blue light shield instantly appeared in front of Elder Shen. He wasn't knocked down by the grenade; instead, he lunged fiercely at the Gunner, slamming him to the ground.

Following this, a heavy punch smashed into the ground. The massive Shockwave sent a Mage in a cat costume and a Fighter in a dog costume flying into the air.

The Second Prince stood behind the three of them and began firing at the people in onesies.

Captain Yang and Commander Ma faced off against a Cleric in a lion onesie. This Cleric carried a giant axe and swung it incredibly fast. Captain Yang, even in his Super Armor state, was hacked several times upon contact and fell immediately.

Commander Ma quickly used Wave Split Slash to control him, then brandished his twin blades and charged in.

Watching anxiously from the back, the Second Prince shouted, "Don't just attack blindly! Focus your fire on one at a time!"

As soon as he spoke, Elder Shen let out a scream and was ganged up on by three people in doll Avatars until he died.

What the Second Prince didn't notice was that a Fighter in a fox onesie had already appeared behind him. It grabbed the Second Prince and slammed him into the ground with a Suplex. Before the Second Prince could get up, a series of rapid kicks finished him off right there on the floor.

After the Second Prince died, Commander Ma also failed to overcome the Cleric with the giant axe. With a scream, he was split apart under the blade.

The group revived once more. The Second Prince instructed again, "Kill that Gunner first! Throw all your skills at him!"

The others finally caught on and charged recklessly at the giraffe man. They ignored all other attacks, looking like they were ready to die for the cause.

In this manner, they took them down one by one. After consuming an unknown number of revival coins, only the Cleric in the lion onesie remained.

Commander Ma lamented, "Second Prince, I only have two revival coins left from the ones I got from boxes. That means I've died 10 times! That's 1,000 Spirit Stones. Adding in your deaths, we've spent at least three or four thousand Spirit Stones on this Abyss Party."

The Second Prince's eyes were fixed on the Cleric who was being juggled by Elder Shen. He said casually, "It's just a few thousand Spirit Stones. Compared to an Epic weapon, it's worth it!"

Captain Yang consoled him, "It's not that bad. Although these revival coins sell for 100 Spirit Stones each outside, ours were mostly obtained from gift boxes and events. Calculating it that way, we've only lost about 1,000 Spirit Stones at most."

Seeing that the Cleric was covered in wounds and nearing death, the Second Prince quickly shouted, "Elder Shen, let me kill him! Last time you killed the boss, your weapon dropped. This time I'll do it and see if I can get mine!"

Hearing the Second Prince's shout, Elder Shen quickly stopped his assault and took a backward step to distance himself from the lion Cleric.

The Second Prince rushed forward and threw a barrage of grenades at the Cleric on the ground. Electromagnetic Grenades and Freezing Grenades exploded continuously. With a final scream, the Cleric disappeared, and equipment dropped all over the ground with a clatter.

The Second Prince looked at the equipment on the ground and couldn't help but frown. He muttered, "Strange, why didn't I see any equipment flashing this time?"

The Second Prince crouched on the ground, looking through the equipment one by one. The more he looked, the colder his heart became.

After checking the very last piece, the Second Prince roared, "What's going on? Where is the epic equipment? How is there not even a single piece of Rare Equipment?"

Captain Yang and Commander Ma looked at the Second Prince's furious expression, shrank their necks, and took a few steps back, acting as if it had nothing to do with them.

Elder Shen sighed and stepped forward to advise, "Second Prince, an Abyss Party isn't guaranteed to drop epic equipment. It all depends on luck. Grandis said this before; didn't you hear her?"

Naturally, the Second Prince wouldn't admit he hadn't heard. He quickly replied, "But isn't it wrong that there's not even a single piece of Rare Equipment?!"
