62: GSD personally took charge
"Sky City?" Jian Wuxie was very interested in this place name.
"That's right. Sky City is the legendary only passage from the Arad Continent to the Empyrean," G.S.D said with a smile.
Xiao Hongyuan was clearly very interested in the name Sky City as well. She quickly prepared herself, ready to follow G.S.D's lead.
Just then, someone was suddenly heard shouting, "Wait, wait for me!"
Everyone looked back to see Quan Wudi running over with an excited expression.
"Rude brat, didn't I tell you to go find Pung Jin?" G.S.D said grumpily.
"Hehe, Master Feng Zhen told me to follow you. Old man, what kind of potion did you give Master Feng Zhen for him to hold you in such high regard?" Quan Wudi asked, looking at G.S.D.
"Hmph, ignorant brat. I can't be bothered to talk to you. But that fellow Pung Jin is something else, acting like such a hands-off manager. Fine, just follow us," G.S.D said, somewhat annoyed.
The group followed Pung Jin through the streets of Heatonmar to the West Coast. Suddenly, a very charming woman with gray skin waved to them from the roadside and called out, "Is that Great Master G.S.D?"
G.S.D stopped and smiled. "Beautiful Miss Sharan, is there something I can do for you?"
"Hehe, my apprentice Lorian went to the Tower of the Dragon People. I heard from the Duke that you were asked to find her. I couldn't set my mind at ease, so I waited here to confirm," Sharan said with a smile.
Quan Wudi looked at the charming woman before him with surprise in his eyes, as her skin color was far from that of a normal person.
G.S.D smiled and said, "Don't worry, I'm just about to set off for the Tower of the Dragon People."
Sharan looked at the people following behind G.S.D and asked with a smile, "And these are...?"
G.S.D turned back and said, "Let me introduce you. This is the Enchanting Master, Miss Sharan. If you want to learn a Sub-profession in the future, you can seek her out."
He turned back again and said, "As for these ones, they are new Adventurers. It just so happens they are going to the Tower of the Dragon People for training, so I'm teaching them along the way."
Hearing this, Sharan gave a very elegant salute and said with a smile, "Hehe, hello little ones. How lucky it is to be able to learn from Great Master G.S.D."
Xiao Hongyuan asked in confusion, "Enchanting Master Sharan, I wonder what 'Enchanting' means?"
G.S.D interrupted, "Alright, if you're curious, you can ask Sharan later. We can't afford any delays right now. Let's head to the Tower of the Dragon People first."
Xiao Hongyuan could only suppress her curiosity and follow G.S.D, who had already resumed walking towards Sky City.
As the group advanced, a towering spire piercing straight into the clouds appeared in their line of sight.
Jian Wuxie looked up, unable to see the top hidden deep within the clouds. He couldn't help but exclaim, "This is simply a miracle."
Hearing Jian Wuxie's exclamation, G.S.D shook his head with a smile. He had seen countless new Adventurers, and almost every one of them would utter a similar exclamation upon seeing Sky City. He had long since grown accustomed to it.
The group arrived at the base of the tower. G.S.D said to Xiao Hongyuan, "Go ahead, select to enter the Tower of the Dragon People!"
Xiao Hongyuan did as told, selecting the Tower of the Dragon People Dungeon Instance and confirming her entry.
Their vision went black, and when they opened their eyes again, they were already inside the Tower of the Dragon People. G.S.D spoke from the side, "You don't need to do anything. Watch closely and learn well what a true swordsman looks like."
Quan Wudi mocked, "Old Blind Man, stop bragging. Just make sure we don't have to save you in a moment."
G.S.D didn't speak; instead, he stood in place and entered a strange state.
The four of them felt a sensation as if a Divine Sense had swept over them from his body. Just as they were about to ask, they suddenly saw a circle of complex runes appear around G.S.D, rotating around him.
Then, they felt something similar to Divine Sense sweep across their bodies, and the source was G.S.D, who was holding a strange scimitar.
"Let's go, little ones," G.S.D said calmly.
The group entered the next room, where dragon-head statues lined both sides. Monsters with yellowish-brown skin, lizard heads, and tails—yet walking upright—were wandering within the room.
"Those are the Dragon People of the Tower of the Dragon People," G.S.D said with a smile.
Jian Wuxie glanced at the monsters and sneered, "These things deserve to be called dragons? They're just a bunch of lowly reptiles. A true Divine Dragon would never look like this! It should ride the clouds and mist, with four legs growing from its belly and five claws on each foot."
G.S.D turned his head towards Jian Wuxie in surprise and smiled. "I didn't expect you to have such insight at such a young age. Back when this old man traveled between worlds, I did indeed see the Divine Dragon you mentioned in the East. It was truly magnificent."
"Alright, Old Blind Man, your eyes aren't convenient. Just stay put and let us deal with these big lizards!" Quan Wudi rubbed his hands together.
To their surprise, G.S.D suddenly charged forward with his sword. A Wave Split Slash accurately pulled in a Dragon Person. Sword shadows appeared, and with just one move, all those Dragon People were strangled and killed.
"Hey, not bad! Your attack power is quite high. That sword of yours must be a great weapon!" Quan Wudi shouted.
He then walked up to G.S.D, waving his hand in front of his eyes. "Aren't you blind? How did you know the Dragon People were there? Was it a lucky guess?"
G.S.D shook his head, raised his sword to knock away Quan Wudi's waving arm, and scolded, "Rude brat, don't block my path!" With that, he continued forward on his own.
The group quickly followed, passing through a gate of light and entering the next room.
In this room, some small Young Dragons appeared flying in mid-air, flapping their fleshy wings with a patter. Their colors were slightly different: some blue, some yellowish-brown.
Before the group could act, G.S.D suddenly swung his sword upward. A massive iceberg abruptly surged from the ground, and as it emerged, heavenly thunder crashed down from the sky.
Quan Wudi, who was about to attack, was startled by the sudden appearance of the iceberg. Losing his footing, he fell flat on his butt.
The iceberg spread forward with immense power. The monsters were instantly killed the moment they were touched by it, vanishing into white light.
Even standing at a distance, the four of them could still feel the world-destroying power contained within that iceberg from the sheer might of the skill.
After the sword strike, G.S.D stood calmly in place and said softly, "Rude brat, why have you gone quiet?"
"I..." Quan Wudi didn't know what to say for a moment.
G.S.D ignored him and continued to the next room.
As soon as they entered the room, A Fei's brow furrowed, and he cried out in surprise, "What is that!?"
G.S.D lowered his head to sense for a moment and laughed. "Hehe, you're very unlucky, but also very lucky!"
Hearing this, Xiao Hongyuan asked in confusion, "Senior, what do you mean by that?"
"Hehe, I say you're unlucky because you've encountered Demons; we call it an Abyss Party. I say you're lucky because I'm here! These low-level Demons are nothing more than ants."
Xiao Hongyuan looked at the Steel Pillar in the center of the room and murmured to herself, "Demons... an Abyss Party?"
