153: Chapter 153 The Heavens of the Xuanhuang Realm are truly about to change.

Venerable Lingyun's eyes widened; he had never seen such a Divine Ability.

His Myriad Souls Devouring God, those resentful souls he had devoured and refined for tens of thousands of years, had actually been purified by Jiang Changge in a single move.

That was a forbidden Divine Ability he had obtained from an ancient ruin, one of his strongest trump cards, yet before Jiang Changge, it couldn't even last for a moment.

The specks of light representing Laws around Jiang Changge had now increased to over thirty.

He looked down at the specks of light around him with a pleased expression; he had gained a great deal from this battle.

Venerable Lingyun was finally driven to utter despair.

He stopped attacking and instead turned around, frantically slamming against the invisible wall sealing off the Void Realm, trying to find any chance of escape.

But the invisible wall remained absolutely motionless, like an impassable chasm, sealing off all his paths of retreat.

Jiang Changge shook his head as he watched his pathetic state.

“It seems this is all you are capable of.”

He raised his right hand, and a pale green glow emerged in his palm.

The glow contained the power of the Wind and Thunder Laws. Lightning and storms intertwined, condensing in his palm into a highly concentrated azure light blade.

“Wind-Thunder Slash.”

Jiang Changge waved his hand, and the azure light blade shot out. It was incredibly fast, as if traversing the boundaries of time and space, arriving before Venerable Lingyun before he could even react.

Venerable Lingyun instinctively crossed his arms in front of him, channeling the remaining spiritual energy in his body to condense a blood-red shield.

The azure light blade slashed onto the shield, which shattered instantly. The blade pierced through the shield, sliced past Venerable Lingyun's arms, cut through his chest, and flew out from behind him, disappearing into the distant horizon.

Venerable Lingyun's body suddenly stiffened, and he looked down at his chest.

There, a hair-thin wound was slowly seeping dark red blood.

His arms severed cleanly at the elbows, the cuts as smooth as a mirror, and only after a moment did blood begin to gush out.

“Ah—!”

Venerable Lingyun let out a shrill scream as his body plummeted from midair, crashing heavily onto a barren hillside and smashing out a giant crater several chang deep.

Within the crater, he lay on his back among the rubble, covered in blood, both arms severed, and a piercing wound through his chest. His aura was weak to the extreme.

Jiang Changge descended from the Void Realm, standing at the edge of the crater, looking down at him from above.

“Tens of thousands of years of cultivation is no easy feat,” Jiang Changge spoke, his voice flat. “Unfortunately, you provoked the wrong person.”

Venerable Lingyun looked up at the white-robed figure, his eyes filled with fear and unwillingness.

Jiang Changge spoke no more. With a wave of his hand, the xuanchen whisk slid out of his sleeve, and he gave its tail a gentle flick.

A white light surged from the whisk, enveloping Venerable Lingyun. His body rapidly shrank within the white light, turning into a streak of dark red light that sank into the whisk.

The whisk trembled slightly, and another dark red thread appeared on its tail.

The dark red blood mist slowly drifted in the air, blown away without a trace by the mountain wind.

Jiang Changge stood in the Void Realm with his hands behind his back. The xuanchen whisk had been retracted into his sleeve, and the thirty-odd Law specks of light around him faded one by one, returning to silence.

Tranquility returned to heaven and earth.

At this moment, the gazes hidden in the Void Realm began to withdraw in unison.

In the direction of the Central Plains, deep within the Void Realm, an elderly figure sitting cross-legged atop a sea of clouds slowly opened his eyes.

He was a Grand Elder of the Xiao Family with a cultivation at the Peak of Tribulation Transcendence, who had been ordered to monitor the movements of the Southern Wasteland here for several centuries.

The moment he withdrew his Divine Sense, his expression turned solemn, his eyes filled with lingering shock.

The Law specks of light around Jiang Changge—Time, Space, Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, Life and Death, Karma, Wind and Thunder... every single speck represented a Domain he had failed to touch in his entire life, yet the Lord of Kunlun had mastered dozens of them simultaneously.

He fell silent for a moment, then stood up from the sea of clouds, turning into a streak of light as he swept toward the gate of the Xiao Family.

At the same time, the Grand Elders of the Mu Family and the Lin Family also withdrew their Divine Senses from their respective hidden spots in the Void Realm.

Their faces were ashen, their eyes filled with wariness. Without a single word, they turned and left.

Those hidden players who had been eager to make moves in the Southern Wasteland layout all hit the pause button at this moment.

In the Western Regions, on that desolate mountain peak, the grey-robed old monk remained sitting cross-legged before the unfinished game of chess.

“Amitabha,” the old monk chanted softly. His voice was calm, yet carried a trace of hard-to-detect emotion.

“The sky of the Xuanhuang World is truly about to change.”

His withered fingers picked up a white piece and placed it gently on the chessboard, making a crisp sound. The long-dormant game of chess had finally seen its final move.

In the East Sea, deep within the Dragon Palace.

Dragon King Ao Yuan withdrew his Divine Sense, complex emotions churning in his golden dragon eyes.

There was shock, relief, and also a trace of hard-to-detect excitement.

In the hall, several Dragon Clan experts stood with their hands at their sides.

Ao Yuan's two younger brothers, Ao Lie and Ao Guang, as well as several Dragon Clan Grand Elders, all had solemn expressions. An oppressive atmosphere filled the hall.

“The Lord of Kunlun,” Ao Yuan spoke, his voice deep and steady. “He possesses dozens of Great Dao Laws. With a single move, he destroyed the Sea of Blood, easily suppressing a Half-Step Immortal.”

He paused, his gaze sweeping over everyone, a trace of emotion flashing in his eyes. “With such strength, this king is far inferior.”

Ao Lie spoke from the side, his voice hoarse and deep: “Eldest Brother, that boy Ao Qin... back then, we only sent him to investigate Kunlun's background. We didn't expect him to directly join Kunlun. Thinking about it now, it is indeed a stroke of luck.”

Ao Guang nodded in agreement. “Indeed. Ao Qin joining Kunlun means there is now a connection between the Dragon Clan and Kunlun.”

“If the Lord of Kunlun can look after the Dragon Clan even slightly, the pressure we face will be much lighter.”

The hall fell silent for a moment.

Ao Yuan stood up from his dragon throne and walked to the entrance of the hall with his hands behind his back. His gaze pierced through layers of seawater, looking toward the bottomless darkness in the distance.

His voice was deep and calm, yet carried a heavy tone that was hard to conceal.

“The predicament facing the Dragon Clan is not something that can be resolved by relying on outsiders.”

“But Ao Qin joining Kunlun is indeed a silver lining for the Dragon Clan. Everyone has witnessed the strength of the Lord of Kunlun. If the Dragon Clan truly reaches that point, we will at least have a way out.”

Ao Han said in a deep voice, “Eldest Brother, those old fogies have been making moves again recently.”

Ao Yuan's brow furrowed, a trace of coldness flashing in his eyes.

He fell silent for a moment, then slowly spoke, “I know. Over the years, they have been constantly testing us and encroaching upon the East Sea. Now, with the emergence of Kunlun, perhaps they will restrain themselves a bit.”

He paused. “Pass down the order to heighten security across all areas of the East Sea, especially around the Dragon Palace.”

“Yes,” Ao Lie bowed and accepted the order.

Ao Yuan walked back to his dragon throne and sat down. His gaze swept across everyone in the hall, his voice steady and firm: “For now, put the matters of the Southern Wasteland aside. The affairs of the Dragon Clan are our core priority.”

Several Dragon Clan experts nodded in unison. The atmosphere in the hall remained solemn, but everyone's eyes held a bit more light than before.
