71: Chapter 71 Two come, two die.
Above Luotian City, Yin Tianzheng forced Dynasty Lord Zhou Dongliu back with a single palm strike and was preparing to strike again to capture Lu Jinghan and the other two.
Zhou Dongliu knelt on one knee, his crimson long saber stabbed into the stone slab before him. A trace of blood spilled from the corner of his mouth, yet he blocked the path in front of Lu Jinghan and the others, refusing to retreat a single step.
"Stubborn and foolish."
Yin Tianzheng let out a cold snort and raised his hand for another palm strike.
The palm print was as dark as ink, blotting out the sky and sun, carrying the majestic pressure of the Peak Body Integration stage as it crushed down toward Zhou Dongliu.
Zhou Dongliu gritted his teeth and tightened his grip on the saber hilt, preparing to rise.
Suddenly, the world froze.
That overwhelming palm print, less than three feet above Zhou Dongliu's head, seemed to strike an invisible wall; it shattered with a roar, dissolving into black mist that filled the sky.
Yin Tianzheng's pupils constricted, and his figure recoiled several feet in a flash.
A vast aura, so immense that even his Soul trembled, descended from the sky.
That aura was like an abyss or a prison, akin to the descent of heavenly might; the air in all of Luotian City solidified.
On the plaza, the commoners and Cultivators who had been pinned down by the pressure found it difficult to even breathe.
Yin Tianzheng looked up abruptly.
In mid-air, two figures appeared out of thin air.
Dressed in white as snow with hair as dark as ink, his expression calm, it was none other than Jiang Changge.
Beside him, Ancestor Zhou Huaixu stood with his hands behind his back, his dark robes snapping in the wind.
The aura of the Peak Undergoing Tribulation stage was released without reservation, like a god descending from the heavens, looking down upon the ants at his feet.
Ancestor Zhou Huaixu's gaze fell upon Yin Tianzheng, his eyes filled with piercing coldness.
He understood now; the words Jiang Changge had spoken earlier were directed at this ignorant wretch who didn't know when to die.
Someone had attacked a city lord of his Imperial Dynasty within the borders of the Zhouwu Dynasty and had even attempted to capture Senior Jiang's Disciple.
"You seek death."
Ancestor Zhou Huaixu's voice was not loud, yet it exploded in Yin Tianzheng's ears like a thunderclap.
Yin Tianzheng's face turned ashen, his body stiffened in place, unable to move even a single finger.
The pressure of a Peak Undergoing Tribulation stage expert was not something he, a Peak Body Integration stage Cultivator, could withstand.
He didn't even have time to speak before Ancestor Zhou Huaixu raised his hand.
A giant palm descended from the sky, identical to the one Yin Tianzheng had just used, yet its power was on an entirely different level.
Before the palm print even landed, the ground beneath Yin Tianzheng had already cracked and collapsed, sending debris flying.
Blood seeped from Yin Tianzheng's seven orifices; his body trembled under the pressure, and even the words to beg for mercy were stuck in his throat, unable to be uttered.
The palm print descended; Yin Tianzheng was crushed as if by a great mountain, his body instantly turning into powder, leaving no bones behind.
Even the pitch-black Flying Sword beneath his feet shattered into slag under the palm print, scattering across the ground.
On the plaza, there was a deathly silence.
Zhou Dongliu knelt on the ground on one knee, looked up at the dark-robed figure in mid-air, shuddered, and quickly prostrated himself.
"Junior Zhou Dongliu pays respects to the Old Ancestor!"
His voice carried the relief of surviving a disaster, as well as genuine awe from the bottom of his heart.
Ancestor Zhou Huaixu withdrew his hand, his gaze falling upon Zhou Dongliu as he nodded slightly.
"Rise."
Only then did Zhou Dongliu rise and retreat to the side, not daring to even breathe loudly.
Ancestor Zhou Huaixu turned to look at Jiang Changge and bowed respectfully.
"Senior, I have embarrassed myself in front of you."
Jiang Changge waved his hand without speaking, his gaze landing on the three Disciples in the plaza.
Lu Jinghan and the other two finally recovered from the terrifying pressure, hurried forward, stood before Jiang Changge, and bowed in unison.
"Disciples Jinghan (Muchuan, Fuguang) pay respects to Revered Master!"
Their voices were uniform and respectful.
Jiang Changge's gaze swept over the three of them; seeing that although they were a bit disheveled, they were uninjured, he nodded slightly.
"It is good that you are unharmed."
He withdrew his gaze, his tone flat, revealing no particular emotion.
"Now, do you wish to continue your training, or will you return with your Revered Master?"
Lu Jinghan barely hesitated; he stepped forward and bowed, saying, "Disciple wishes to continue training."
He straightened up, his eyes filled with determination.
"If I rely on Revered Master every time I encounter a little trouble, how can I grow?"
Qin Muchuan and Su Fuguang exchanged a glance, then hurried forward and nodded in unison.
"Senior Brother is right!" Qin Muchuan grinned, "Disciple also wishes to continue training."
Su Fuguang echoed, "Disciple as well; this minor setback is nothing."
Jiang Changge looked at the three of them, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, a flash of approval in his eyes.
"If so, then go."
Just then, the teleportation array in the direction of the City Lord's Mansion suddenly lit up, spiritual light shooting into the sky.
Several figures walked quickly out of the formation.
The person in the lead wore a Dragon robe, his face as gloomy as water; it was the Zhouwu Dynasty Lord, Zhou Shanhe.
Behind him followed several experts of the Imperial Dynasty.
Having just received an urgent message from Zhou Dongliu stating that a Peak Body Integration Elder of the Liuli Sect had made a move in Luotian City, he had brought people over without saying a word.
But as soon as he stepped out of the teleportation array, he felt the lingering, suffocating, and terrifying aura in the air.
Zhou Shanhe swept his gaze across and saw the cracked, collapsed ground in the center of the plaza, as well as the pitch-black debris scattered everywhere.
That was... the final trace left by Yin Tianzheng?
Zhou Shanhe felt a shiver in his heart; he hurried forward, stood before Ancestor Zhou Huaixu, and bowed in salute.
"Pays respects to the Old Ancestor."
The group of retainers behind him also bowed in unison, not daring to breathe loudly.
Ancestor Zhou Huaixu nodded slightly without speaking.
Zhou Shanhe straightened up and his gaze fell upon Zhou Dongliu; seeing the blood at the corner of his mouth and his damaged robes, his expression sank immediately.
"Dongliu, what happened?"
Zhou Dongliu hurried forward and recounted the ins and outs of the matter.
From the moment Lu Jinghan and the others appeared in Canglan Town to Yin Tianzheng tracking them all the way here and openly attacking above Luotian City, showing no regard for the dignity of the Zhouwu Dynasty.
After listening, Zhou Shanhe's face was as gloomy as water, rage surging in his eyes.
"A fine Liuli Sect indeed."
His voice was low, yet carried irrepressible killing intent.
"Daring to attack my Imperial Dynasty's City Lord within my territory, and even attempting to capture Senior's Disciple."
"Do they truly think there is no one left in my Zhouwu Dynasty?"
He turned to look at Ancestor Zhou Huaixu, and just as he was about to speak, Ancestor Zhou Huaixu raised his hand to interrupt him.
"I have already handled this matter."
Ancestor Zhou Huaixu's tone was flat, his gaze resting on the pile of powder.
"Yin Tianzheng has been executed. As for the Liuli Sect—"
He paused, a flash of cold light appearing in his eyes.
"If they dare to send more people, if one comes, I will kill one. If two come, I will kill the pair."
Zhou Shanhe bowed to accept the order, but in his heart, he understood that the Old Ancestor's words were not just for him, but for everyone present.
The dignity of the Zhouwu Dynasty brooks no provocation.
Jiang Changge stood to the side with his hands behind his back, having said nothing from beginning to end.
He looked at Lu Jinghan and the others, his tone casual: "Go, be careful."
Lu Jinghan and the others answered in unison, turned, and left; their figures soon disappeared at the end of the long street.
Jiang Changge withdrew his gaze and looked at Ancestor Zhou Huaixu.
"Let's go, back to Medicine King Valley!"
Subsequently, the two figures instantly disappeared from before Zhou Shanhe and the others.
