201: arrival

"The temple is up there?"

Xiao Weiqing looked up at the towering mountain before him. Its height was immeasurable; his naked eye could only see the mountainside, while the summit was shrouded in clouds, making it impossible to see the whole picture.

"Yes."

"Mount Samsung was originally within the Holy Land. After the Three Star World was breached, a god used great power to move it into the ruins."

"I see."

"There's something I don't quite understand."

Potz asked, "What is it?"

"This is my first time in your Three-Star Civilization Ruins. Is that a normal phenomenon?"

Potz looked in the direction Xiao Weiqing was pointing. His pupils suddenly constricted, and large beads of cold sweat rolled down his forehead.

On the horizon.

The blue sky was as enchanting as a water curtain, but the flaw in its beauty was several cracks tearing through the sky.

Through the spatial cracks, the two saw a terrifying sight.

A galaxy sparkled within the cracks.

A meteorite floated quietly in the Universe; there was nothing special about this meteorite.

But.

A towering figure sat upon that meteorite, blurred and indistinct.

Behind the figure was a massive, scaled tail that swung from time to time, shattering surrounding small meteorites and turning them into interstellar dust.

The two abruptly withdrew their gazes.

Potz's lips trembled. "The... wea... weather is... really nice today."

Xiao Weiqing turned around stiffly and echoed, "It... it really is."

Their legs felt weak as they scrambled into Mount Samsung... "Potz, was that a god of the Yao Race just now?" Xiao Weiqing asked slowly, lingering fear in his heart.

"I haven't seen one, but it probably was."

"I've seen a Divine Envoy of the Ninth Realm, and they didn't have that kind of pressure at all."

"Potz, does the temple have a teleportation channel?" Xiao Weiqing asked.

This ruin was a lost cause; that thing was too dangerous. If things went wrong, they might win the ruin only to get a Yao God gift pack.

"You're planning to run?"

"Cough... don't make it sound so bad. This ruin was left to you by a god. I'm an outsider after all, it's not right for me to interfere."

Potz fell silent, his thoughts unknown.

The two continued forward.

*Whiz—*

A spear shot out from the shadows.

*Clang!*

A cold light flashed, severing the spear.

"Come out!"

Flames flared up, and a sea of fire surged into the woods.

It was silent.

A figure attacked from behind.

Xiao Weiqing swung his blade back in a reverse strike.

"Vinton!"

Potz cried out in surprise upon seeing the newcomer.

"Vinton?"

Vinton's eyes narrowed as he smiled.

Then he looked coldly at Xiao Weiqing, preparing to strike again.

"Don't, Vinton, he's one of us."

Potz said hurriedly, pulling Vinton aside to explain.

Two minutes later, Vinton's expression softened slightly. The Three-Star people in the shadows also emerged, six in total.

"On behalf of the Three Star Civilization, I thank you for your help. Please return the temple secret key."

Xiao Weiqing raised an eyebrow and ignored him. He didn't like Vinton's tone.

"Potz, are you coming or not?"

"I..."

Potz hesitated. Although Xiao Weiqing was powerful and he wanted to follow him, he would rather be with his own clansmen. This had nothing to do with strength.

"Good luck."

Xiao Weiqing turned and left.

Several Geniuses of the Three Star Civilization moved to block Xiao Weiqing's path.

"What's the meaning of this?"

"Trying to keep me here?"

Vinton said coldly, "Please return the temple secret key."

"Potz, what's your opinion?"

Xiao Weiqing asked softly.

"Vinton, let Xiao Weiqing go."

"What?"

"Potz, are you crazy? He has the temple secret key."

"I know. We're all going to the temple anyway, so it's fine for the key to be in Xiao Weiqing's hands."

"After all, we're friends, right?"

Sensing Potz's gaze, Xiao Weiqing didn't respond and simply walked away.

"Vinton, let's go too. We'll find the others and head to the summit together."

...It's cold at the heights.

Xiao Weiqing now understood this deeply as he traversed the clouds along the quiet path.

Finally.

A beam of sunlight broke through the clouds, and his vision suddenly cleared.

He arrived at the summit, though it wasn't exactly a summit.

Because the entire top of the mountain had been sliced off, leaving a vast platform as smooth as a mirror.

Xiao Weiqing's arrival caught the attention of the four factions in the plaza.

One of them was Blue Star.

One was the Yao Race.

The third was the Three Star Civilization.

As for the center of the plaza, there was another group—Human Race, one might say, but with a peculiar appearance: pale blue hair and slender fingers on both men and women. Looking at their features, even by the aesthetics of Blue Star people, one had to admit they were all handsome.

There were five of them in total, each carrying a smooth, oval shield on their back.

"Xiao Weiqing?"

"Over here!"

Xiao Weiqing heard Xi Xiaolan's voice and walked over. On the way, he glanced around; there were over a dozen corpses, some Blue Star Geniuses, and on the other side, corpses of the Yao Race.

Clearly, a battle had taken place here.

*Whiz—*

"Watch out!"

Xi Xiaolan shouted and ran toward Xiao Weiqing.

Sensing the Killing Intent behind him.

Xiao Weiqing stood still, flames spilling from his body. By the time he turned around, he had already entered his Flame True Body form.

Facing the attacking Leopard Demon, Xiao Weiqing reached out and grabbed its neck with one hand.

"Ugh..."

*Boom!*

Samadhi True Fire surged out.

This Leopard Demon of the Third Realm didn't have the slightest power to resist and was instantly turned to ash.

"What?"

Exclamations of surprise erupted from the Yao Race camp.

"Who is this Blue Star person?"

"Saint, should we eliminate him now? He has the aura of a secret key on him."

Leading the Yao Race camp was a black tiger demon, the one the Yao called their Saint.

"No need. Those people are nothing to fear. Entering the temple is the priority now. Those people from the Star Alliance are not to be trifled with; focus on them."

As the Yao Saint spoke, his gaze remained fixed on the few people in the center of the plaza.

Another half hour passed.

Potz and Vinton came up with over twenty people. However, Xiao Weiqing noticed that Vinton and the others were all injured and covered in Demonic Qi.

They must have had a fierce battle with other members of the Yao Race.

Now in the plaza, nearly 200 people from the Three Star Civilization stared at the Yao Race camp with Killing Intent.

This was a blood feud.

The Yao Race was indifferent; to them, the Three Star Civilization was nothing more than stray dogs.

Although they had fewer than a hundred people left, with the Saint there, these people were nothing to fear.

Once they got the items inside the temple, it would be the end for these people, and the Three Star Civilization would cease to exist.

As for those Blue Star people, they could be slaughtered as well. The only ones to watch out for were the people from the Star Alliance.

At that moment.

The people from the Star Alliance stood up.

Their leader said, "Everyone is here."

"Open the temple quickly."

After speaking, he took a fan-shaped metal piece with a star pattern from his robes and threw it to the Three Star Civilization.

"A temple secret key?"

*Whiz—*

Two figures shot out simultaneously, one from the Yao Race and the other a Genius from the Blue Star side.

*Bang! Bang!*

Two round shields flew out, knocking the two figures away before returning to the hands of the Star Alliance member.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye.

"He Yuan, are you alright?" Xi Xiaolan asked.

"I'm fine, my arm is just a bit numb. That group is quite strong." He Yuan looked toward the Star Alliance with fear in his eyes.

He hadn't even had time to react before being knocked away by that silver round shield.

The secret key flew through the air and landed in Vinton's hand.

"There are two more secret keys. Hurry up."

The leader of the Star Alliance spoke again, his tone forceful and allowed no room for refusal.
