160: Chapter 160 A Warm Feeling in My Heart
Luo Shiyun tried on one outfit after another, while Wang Yang sat on the sofa, calling every single one of them beautiful.
When she tried on the sixth one, Luo Shiyun came out of the fitting room, walked up to Wang Yang, and lowered her voice.
"Brother Yang, that's enough. It's too much; I won't be able to wear them all."
Wang Yang looked at her. "Do you like them?"
Luo Shiyun bit her lip, hesitated for a moment, and nodded.
Wang Yang smiled. "If you like them, we'll buy them. It's not like we can't afford it."
Luo Shiyun looked at him, her eyes growing a little warm. "But, it's too extravagant."
Wang Yang stood up and reached out to pinch her cheek. "What's wrong with spending money on the woman I like?"
His voice wasn't loud, but it was very serious.
Luo Shiyun's tears almost fell; she bit her lip and nodded vigorously.
The Saleswoman stood nearby, watching this scene, her eyes full of envy.
She had been in sales for so many years and had seen many wealthy men bring their female companions to buy clothes.
Some men would look at their phones the whole time, saying "Whatever" to everything the woman tried on.
Some men would frown as soon as they heard the price, finding all sorts of excuses to back out.
Still others would dawdle when it came time to pay, practically wanting to pay for their credit card purchases in installments.
Someone like the man in front of her, who looked at every item seriously, said every one looked good, and didn't even blink when swiping his card, was truly rare.
She stole a glance at Luo Shiyun and sighed inwardly.
This woman is so lucky.
In the end, Wang Yang bought seven items in total.
Two sweaters, a cardigan, a wool skirt, a long cashmere coat, a scarf, and a beret.
The Saleswoman's hands were shaking as she packed everything; the commission from this single order was worth more than half a month's salary.
She handed the paper bags of various sizes to Wang Yang with both hands, bowing deeply.
"Sir, take care. Please come again."
Wang Yang took the bags, held Luo Shiyun's hand with his other, and walked out of the store.
Luo Shiyun walked beside him, her fingers lightly tracing his palm.
She stole a glance at him; his profile was sharply defined in the afternoon sunlight, a faint smile playing on his lips.
Her eyes were full of only him.
"Brother Yang."
"Hm?"
Luo Shiyun bit her lip, her voice very soft but very serious. "Thank you."
Wang Yang looked down at her. "What are you thanking me for?"
Luo Shiyun shook her head. "I just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for being so good to me."
Wang Yang smiled and squeezed her hand. "Silly girl."
The two walked through the Shopping Mall, holding hands and carrying bags of all sizes.
The afternoon sun spilled down from the dome, falling on them, warm and cozy.
Luo Shiyun walked beside him, head bowed, her lips curled upward, unable to suppress the smile.
Her eyes were a little warm, her nose felt sore, but her heart felt as warm as if she were carrying a little sun inside.
Never had any man been so good to her.
...
The two walked through the Shopping Mall, holding hands and carrying bags of all sizes.
The afternoon sun spilled down from the dome, warm and cozy, making people feel lazy.
Luo Shiyun walked beside him, her fingers lightly tracing his palm, her lips curled upward, in an incredibly good mood.
As they walked, she suddenly stopped.
Wang Yang looked down at her. "What's wrong?"
Luo Shiyun pointed to a milk tea shop ahead, her eyes bright. "Brother Yang, I'm a little thirsty."
The milk tea shop didn't have a large storefront, and its decor was that soft, pinkish, Instagram-style.
The neon sign read "A Sweet Sip," and there were three or four people waiting in line at the entrance.
Wang Yang smiled. "What do you want to drink?"
Luo Shiyun tilted her head and thought for a moment. "You pick for me."
Wang Yang led her over, and they queued up at the back of the line.
When it was their turn, Wang Yang looked up at the menu, scanning it.
"One taro paste boba, less sugar, warm."
He turned to look at Luo Shiyun. "Is this okay?"
Luo Shiyun nodded, feeling sweet inside.
He even remembered that she didn't like drinking cold things.
Wang Yang added, "And another one just like it, regular sugar, with ice."
He leaned down and whispered in Luo Shiyun's ear. "You drink the warm one, I'll drink the iced one. If you want to taste mine later, I'll feed you."
Luo Shiyun's face turned red instantly, and she reached out to pinch his waist lightly. "Who wants you to feed me."
Wang Yang smiled, put his arm around her waist, and pulled her closer to him. "Not feeding you? Then don't go drooling over mine later."
Luo Shiyun bit her lip and glared at him, but there was no lethality in that look, only coquettishness.
The Shop Clerk behind the counter was a young girl in her early twenties, wearing a ponytail and a baseball cap.
Watching the two of them being lovey-dovey, she couldn't help but smile. "You two have a great relationship."
She said as she punched in the order, her eyes darting between the two. "Handsome and beautiful, you are the best-looking couple I've seen today. Handsome, your girlfriend is really beautiful."
Luo Shiyun's face flushed even redder; she lowered her head, fingers clutching the corner of Wang Yang's shirt, not knowing what to say.
Wang Yang, however, was quite generous and smiled. "Thank you. But there's one thing you got wrong."
The Shop Clerk was stunned for a moment. "Huh?"
Wang Yang pulled Luo Shiyun's waist tighter. "Not my girlfriend."
The Shop Clerk's expression stiffened, and a flash of awkwardness crossed her eyes.
Wang Yang continued. "She's my woman. A level higher than a girlfriend."
The Shop Clerk burst out laughing, her eyes curving into crescents. "Got it, got it. Sir, you really know how to talk. Miss, your boyfriend really dotes on you."
Luo Shiyun's face was so red it felt like it was burning; she buried her face in Wang Yang's shoulder, not daring to look at anyone.
She pinched his waist again, a bit harder this time. "What are you spouting nonsense for."
Wang Yang looked down at her. "Nonsense? Did I say something wrong?"
Luo Shiyun couldn't speak, her ears burning hot.
The Shop Clerk placed the two cups of milk tea on the counter and handed them over with a smile. "Take care, you two. Please come again."
Wang Yang took the milk tea, inserted a straw into the warm one, and brought it to Luo Shiyun's lips. "Have a taste."
Luo Shiyun looked up, glanced at him, and took a sip.
The taro paste was soft and glutinous, the boba was chewy, the milk tea was rich and fragrant, and the temperature was just right.
Her eyes narrowed. "It's delicious."
Wang Yang smiled. "If it's delicious, drink more."
The two carried their milk tea and continued walking forward.
After walking a few steps, Wang Yang suddenly stopped, his brow slightly furrowed.
Luo Shiyun looked up at him. "What's wrong?"
Wang Yang handed the bags in his hands to her and shoved the milk tea into her other hand. "I'm going to the restroom. Wait for me here, don't walk away."
Luo Shiyun nodded. "Okay. Hurry back."
Wang Yang turned and walked away quickly.
Luo Shiyun stood in place, holding seven or eight paper bags and two cups of milk tea.
Leaning against the corridor railing, she waited quietly.
She took a sip of milk tea, her lips curled up, feeling sweet inside.
Just then, a voice came from the side.
"Yo, isn't this Luo Shiyun?"
The voice carried the smell of alcohol, malice, and a familiarity that made one's whole body go cold.
Luo Shiyun's smile froze on her face instantly.
