168: Chapter 168 The Big Mushroom is Still Hungry!

Chen Xuemiao leaned against his chest, looking up at him.

"Really? You're not mad at me?"

Wang Yang lowered his head and kissed her on the forehead.

"Mad at you for what? I'm just happy that you're willing to learn how to cook for me. But next time you make it, remember to add oil."

Chen Xuemiao buried her face in his chest, her voice muffled.

"I know."

Wen Yulan stood to the side, watching the two of them with a gentle smile on her lips.

Wang Yang let go of Chen Xuemiao and reached out to pull Wen Yulan over as well, with both of them leaning against his chest, one on each side.

He lowered his head and first kissed Wen Yulan's lips.

Wen Yulan closed her eyes, resting her hands on his shoulders, and responded gently.

After the kiss, he turned his head and kissed Chen Xuemiao's lips.

Chen Xuemiao wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him passionately and proactively.

Wang Yang released them, looking at their flushed faces and watery eyes, and smiled.

"Alright, this food is inedible. What Sister Yulan made is okay, but there's too little of it, not enough for three people. I'll order takeout."

He picked up his phone, opened the food delivery app, and scrolled through it.

"What do you want to eat?"

Chen Xuemiao leaned in, resting her chin on his shoulder.

"I want to eat barbecue!"

Wen Yulan leaned against his other side.

"I'm fine with anything. Something light will do."

Wang Yang nodded and ordered a bunch of things.

Skewers, grilled fish, grilled eggplant, grilled corn, and he also added a few side dishes and porridge, specifically ordered for Wen Yulan.

After placing the order, he put his phone down and leaned back on the sofa.

Chen Xuemiao and Wen Yulan leaned against him, one on each side.

Chen Xuemiao's fingers drew circles on his chest.

"Brother Yang, where did you go today? Why did you come back so late?"

Wang Yang smiled.

"Took care of some business."

Chen Xuemiao said "oh" and didn't press further.

Wen Yulan didn't speak either, just leaned on his shoulder with her hand resting on his leg, quiet and still.

The three of them huddled on the sofa, waiting for the food, neither of them speaking.

There was only the sound of each other's breathing and the faint rustle of fabric when Chen Xuemiao occasionally drew circles with her fingers.

...

The delivery arrived faster than expected.

The doorbell rang, the ding-dong sound echoing through the living room.

Chen Xuemiao jumped up from the sofa; she didn't even have time to put on her slippers properly and ran to the door barefoot.

"I'll get it! I'll get it!"

Wen Yulan also stood up and followed quickly.

"Xuemiao, put on your shoes, the floor is cold."

"It's fine, it's fine, it's only a few steps."

Wang Yang leaned back on the sofa, watching their backs.

Chen Xuemiao's pink shorts barely covered the tops of her thighs, her two fair legs straight and long.

When she ran, the curves of her buttocks swayed gently beneath the shorts, like two lively little rabbits.

Wen Yulan followed behind, her off-white cotton trousers clinging to her body.

As she walked, her waist swayed gently, the curve of her buttocks round and full.

Like a ripe peach, it was faintly discernible beneath the soft fabric.

Two completely different flavors—one youthful and supple, the other mature and voluptuous.

The door opened, and the delivery driver's voice came in.

"Hello, your delivery. Enjoy your meal."

"Thank you, thank you!"

Chen Xuemiao took the bags, closed the door, and the two of them each carried one side, bringing the two large, full bags of takeout to the coffee table.

The bags were opened, and the aroma of the skewers instantly filled the air.

The scent of cumin and chili mixed with the charred fragrance of grilled meat.

Along with the unique smell of garlic-grilled eggplant, the entire living room was filled with the scent of food.

Lamb skewers, beef skewers, grilled pork belly, grilled chicken wings, grilled fish, grilled eggplant, grilled corn, grilled chives, and grilled enoki mushrooms.

There were also two portions of century egg and lean meat porridge and several boxes of side dishes, covering the coffee table.

Chen Xuemiao sat cross-legged on the carpet, picked up a lamb skewer, took a bite, and squinted her eyes.

"So good, so good! Brother Yang, these lamb skewers are amazing, you have to try them."

Her mouth was stuffed full, her speech slurred.

Wen Yulan sat on the sofa, holding a bowl of century egg and lean meat porridge, sipping it in small mouthfuls.

She ate very gracefully; she would scoop it up, blow on it, bring it to her lips, and take a gentle sip, without making a sound.

It was a stark contrast to Chen Xuemiao.

Wang Yang leaned on the sofa, picked up a beef skewer, and took a bite.

The meat was grilled just right—crispy on the outside and tender on the inside—and the ratio of cumin to chili was perfect.

"Hmm, this place is good."

Chen Xuemiao picked up another grilled chicken wing, gnawed on it twice, and got chili oil on the corner of her mouth.

"Brother Yang, try this chicken wing, it's super tender. Sister Yulan, you eat too, don't just drink porridge."

She handed a skewer of grilled chicken wings to Wen Yulan.

Wen Yulan took it, took a small bite, and nodded.

"It is quite tender."

Chen Xuemiao smiled with satisfaction and buried her head back into tackling the next skewer.

The three of them chatted while eating, and the bamboo skewers on the coffee table piled up.

Wang Yang leaned on the sofa, watching the two women.

One was sitting cross-legged on the carpet, devouring her food, while the other sat upright on the sofa, chewing slowly.

Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, falling on them and coating them in a layer of warm golden light.

Most of the skewers on the coffee table had been polished off, and the bamboo skewers formed a small hill.

Chen Xuemiao leaned against the sofa, rubbing her stomach, and sighed contentedly.

"So full. Can't eat another bite."

Wen Yulan also put down her spoon and picked up a tissue to wipe the corner of her mouth.

"I'm full too. This porridge is good; we can order it again next time."

Wang Yang looked at the two of them, a smile slowly curling at the corners of his mouth.

"You're both full?"

Chen Xuemiao nodded.

"Full, full, look, my stomach is bulging."

She patted her lower abdomen, where there was indeed a slight bulge beneath her loungewear.

Wen Yulan also nodded gently.

"Mm, full."

Wang Yang leaned on the sofa, looked at the two of them, and sighed.

"You two are full. But I'm still a little hungry, what should I do?"

Chen Xuemiao paused for a moment and sat up straight.

"Huh? Brother Yang, you're not full? Do you want to order something else? I see they have grilled lamb chops, do you want an order?"

Wen Yulan also looked at him with concern, her brows slightly furrowed.

"It's all our fault, the food we made was inedible, leaving you hungry. How about I go stir-fry another dish? There are still eggs and tomatoes in the fridge, it'll be quick."

As she spoke, she was about to stand up.

Wang Yang reached out, pressed down on Wen Yulan's hand, and smiled.

"That's not the kind of hungry I mean."

Chen Xuemiao blinked.

"Then what kind of hunger is it?"

Wen Yulan also looked at him, her eyes filled with confusion.

Wang Yang's gaze swept over the two of them, and the smile on his lips became meaningful.

"It's not me who's hungry. It's my Big Mushroom that's hungry."

The living room went quiet for a second.

Chen Xuemiao reacted first, her face instantly turning red, blushing from her cheeks to her ears, and from her ears to her neck.

"Brother Yang! You, what are you saying!"

She reached out to cover her face, her eyes peeking through her fingers, watery.

Wen Yulan was a beat slower, but she also realized, her face turning bright red all at once.

She lowered her head, not daring to look at him, twisting her fingers on her knees, her ears burning hot.
