10: It's just giving money away

So the reason for the full server maintenance was to launch a mall system!

The update didn't mention what the mall would specifically sell; we'll have to wait for the game to update to find out.

Alongside the mall event, another event called "Seria's Blessing" was launched.

Seria is a familiar elven girl character to players, the one rescued from the Goblins.

This event is like a lottery. Spending 3 yuan (300 points) lets you buy a "Seria's Blessing" for a chance to win rich rewards, including revival coins, HP and MP potions, warehouse upgrade coupons, pet rename cards, and even potions that increase attack power.

Most importantly, you might even draw the pet Mischievous Tiger!

Below is a photo of the pet Mischievous Tiger, a small gray and white tiger that looks both cute and fierce.

This pet can not only follow players into battle but also provide additional attack power and movement speed.

"Wow! Finally, there are revival coins again. Designer, please update quickly!" Yu Waner was ecstatic.

"Only 3 yuan to buy a blessing? I'm going all in!" She continued browsing other comments in the comment section.

"It's a bit pixelated, but the pet looks quite cute."

"Once the update is done, I'll directly top up five thousand, stockpile potions, and I must defeat the zombie map!"

"The person above is too noob, right? We're already farming Sky City."

"Two hours of maintenance? What's going on!"

"Don't rush. The Designer is making the game alone; this speed is pretty good."

"Long live the warehouse upgrade coupons! Finally, a place for Goblin Hand Bones and Cat Demon Bone Claws. My backpack is almost full."

"The stuff above is all trash, and you're still picking it up like treasure?"

"Reply to the above: I love collecting, mind your own business!"

"Fight, fight!"

...

Yu Waner looked at the various discussions in the comments and grew even more impatient, wishing to be the first to own these new items and pets.

Eight o'clock, the maintenance finally ended!

Servers 1-6 can now be logged into normally!

"Got it!" Yu Waner immediately closed the drama she was watching, quickly entered her account, and logged into "Dungeon & Fighter."

"Hello there, I'm Seria~"

"It's another energetic day~"

After logging in, the familiar greeting from Seria reached her ears, and her Ghost Swordsman character then appeared in Seria's room.

Yu Waner didn't waste time and hurriedly opened the mall to see what new goodies were available for purchase.

"Recovery Potion?!" She was pleasantly surprised to find the first item listed in the mall was a 50-point Recovery Potion.

This thing costs 20 yuan per bottle, and each character can buy it three times a day.

Although there's a purchase limit, it adds up to 150 extra stamina per character per day, which Yu Waner was quite satisfied with.

Besides stamina potions, there were also various dazzling contracts.

A contract that allows equipment to be automatically repaired for free?

Buy!

An Overlord Contract that lets equipment be 5 levels above the character's level?

Buy!

And an Expert Contract that also raises skill levels by 5?

Buy!

There's even a Monster Contract with 10 free daily card flips and seven buffs like removing weakness?

Buy!

What about a Growth Contract that increases dungeon experience and drop rates?

Just buy it!

These contracts are all essential for boosting a character's strength, and the prices are especially cheap—only 30 yuan per month. For Yu Waner, it was practically giving money away.

However, she was a bit surprised that "Dungeon & Fighter," being so popular lately, could still maintain such player-friendly prices.

You have to know, a game she played before called "Sky Battle" required spending tens of thousands daily just to keep up.

The "Dungeon & Fighter" development team is truly rare!

Of course, Yu Waner didn't care about these details. No matter how expensive things in the game were, she was willing to pay as long as it helped her character grow.

There was no helping it; she was truly deeply captivated by this game.

Finding the recharge page, she quickly completed the payment operation and topped up thirty thousand in one go.

As the currency arrived, Yu Waner immediately renewed all the aforementioned contracts for a year.

Next was finding the NPC Seria for the lottery, a mini-game like opening boxes, where you could choose single draws or ten-draw packs.

Considering efficiency, Yu Waner bought 6,000 draws without hesitation and started frantically opening boxes.

As for revival coins or buff potions encountered along the way, she wasn't very interested.

But the pet Mischievous Tiger she wanted the most had to be obtained!

And so, Yu Waner began her journey of frantically clicking the mouse to open boxes in Seria's room.

When she got tired from opening, she would enable the auto-click function and wait beside it, anticipating good luck.

When she reached around the 4,000th draw, she finally saw a flash of light in the pet slot.

She immediately stopped the auto-draw mode and opened the pet interface to confirm.

Sure enough, it was a mini black and white tiger. Yu Waner laughed happily: "Haha, only four thousand draws to get the pet, what great luck~"

She named her new little companion "Little Wan'er," equipped it, and let it follow behind her.

It looked both silly-cute and majestic.

At the same time, she also obtained many other useful items, like hundreds of revival coins, thousands of Remy's Healing Potions, dozens of warehouse upgrade coupons...

Unfortunately, the latter couldn't be traded to other players for use, so she just upgraded the shabby warehouses in both her Ghost Swordsman rooms. Now they were shiny and particularly luxurious.

"Let's go, little cutie, we're off to do quests!" Yu Waner controlled her Ghost Swordsman, followed closely by the little tiger, and excitedly left Seria's room, eager to test how much her combat power had increased.

Plus, with so many revival chances now, there was nothing left to fear!

...

"Hahaha, I'm that lucky European player. I just topped up a hundred yuan and opened the pet!"

"Come on, person above, stop messing around. I spent over a thousand yuan to draw it. You definitely just got lucky."

"I only spent two hundred yuan and got a bunch of trash potions and warehouse upgrade coupons. I want a pet too!"

"I'm about to cry. I spent five hundred yuan and only got a few rename cards. Can I please get a pet to rename first?!"

"Damn, I've already bought three thousand boxes and I'm not giving up. I refuse to believe I can't open a pet!"

"Is a pet really more useful than a warehouse? Personally, I think storage space is a bit more important."

The square of Hutton Marr City was bustling, with players using the public channel to show off the rewards they had opened.

Lucky people could take the pet with very little money; slightly less lucky ones might have to invest hundreds or even thousands of yuan.

And those who still hadn't successfully obtained a companion continued fighting on in the drawing process, as if going out without a pet would be embarrassing.
