151: Chapter 151 Where Did This Clown Come From?
By the time she started looking for him, Lin Fan was long gone.
Lin Fan had already met up with his family and the members of the Wave Squad before they walked out of the arena.
As the group walked outside, Aunt Mi Xue asked him what he thought about tomorrow's match.
She had been closely following the schedule for the Longwei Magic Academy, knowing that they only needed one more win to advance.
If Lin Fan lost tomorrow, the academy would have to pack up and go home, reduced to mere spectators.
"Do you think I'll lose?" Lin Fan smiled with an innocent expression.
"Of course not!"
"Who else in this competition is more of a freak than you?"
"Even a Tier 2 Mage, I don't think anyone can beat you, not even the students from the top three academies!"
Fang Lu shouted from the side, and Lin Duo immediately nodded in agreement. They had absolute confidence in his strength.
Aunt Mi Xue smiled upon hearing this and looked at Lin Fan.
"Just do your best. I believe your mother wants you to win no matter what."
"Even if you get burned by fire magic, don't give up easily."
"I certainly won't! If the opponent is too strong, just concede quickly; it's too dangerous!" His mother immediately jumped in to refute Aunt Mi Xue.
"Hahaha, I'm just kidding, don't be so nervous."
"Come on, he's an adventurer. Do you think these students could hunt Demonic Beasts on their own?" Aunt Mi Xue shook her head helplessly.
Lin Fan's mother pouted and stopped speaking.
"Alright, let me take you all home." Shortly after, the car arrived at the outskirts of the city, and the family returned home.
The night passed without incident.
...
Friday, the last day of the first round of the tournament.
At eight in the morning, the arena was already packed.
Today's match schedule was projected in the air early on. After finding her academy's name and their opponent's on the list, the Vice Principal turned to look at Lin Fan.
Their match was the second one of the day!
She had wanted to talk to Lin Fan after the match yesterday but hadn't found the opportunity. Now that he was right in front of her, she felt there was no need to say much more... she could only pray silently.
When the other teachers and students of the Longwei Magic Academy learned that they would be facing the Tianlei Magic Academy in the second match, their faces were filled with anxiety.
And the first match was none other than Su Linlin's Void Magic Academy against the Chihen Magic Academy!
Luo Zhongheng, Qiao Liya, and the others looked at the calm-looking Lin Fan, all wondering why he wasn't the least bit nervous.
His crushing victory over Heishan earlier was truly astonishing. But Heishan and Tianlei were on completely different levels.
One was ranked twelfth last year, the other sixth; the gap was worlds apart!
"If Lin Fan loses..." a student muttered nervously, not daring to finish the sentence.
"Shh, don't talk nonsense, think positively. My dad says that if you keep your heart towards the light, miracles will happen."
"But that's the Tianlei Magic Academy! Didn't you see the student they fielded last time? Lightning Element, the offensive power was terrifying."
"Honestly, I'm also very nervous. But we can only trust him, after all, those four people are already unreliable."
Qiao Liya, Luo Zhongheng, Feng Zheng, and Liu Yingjun clearly heard these words and almost spat out a mouthful of blood.
This was like rubbing chili powder into their unhealed wounds.
They hadn't even recovered from the blow of two consecutive losses, and this guy was actually poking their sore spots right to their faces.
If winning was that easy, would it be your turn to stand here and make sarcastic remarks?!
A few seconds later, the match schedule disappeared, and the names of the Void Magic Academy and their opponents lit up. Su Linlin and her opponent took the stage, and the match began quickly.
Everyone thought Su Linlin would once again display her violent strength today. But unexpectedly, she wasn't as aggressive as the last match.
Although she still suppressed her opponent, when the match ended, the other party wasn't as miserable as the students from the Jingyue Magic Academy.
Su Linlin successfully secured the victory.
In the seats of the Jingyue Magic Academy, the student who had been beaten up by Su Linlin two days ago felt a sharp pain in his chest upon seeing this scene.
Did he really offend her unintentionally, which is why he was beaten so badly? Don't stop me, I'm going to the back to cry for a while!
After Su Linlin's match ended, it was finally Lin Fan's turn to take the stage. All the students of the Longwei Magic Academy clasped their hands together, watching him leave, hoping he would once again create a miracle.
"Oh, it's that Space Mage. Let's see how he performs this time."
At the highest point of the arena, that Fifth-Order Mage saw Lin Fan and spoke.
The young man and woman beside him exchanged glances and looked over with scrutinizing gazes. Could it be that he still wanted to give the recommendation spot to this First-Order Mage?
Lin Fan and his opponent walked onto the arena. Both sides already knew the other's element and fighting style. At least, that's what Lin Fan's opponent thought.
The referee had just announced the start of the match. The Lightning Mage immediately retreated rapidly, putting over sixty meters of distance between them.
"I heard that a Tier 1 Space Mage's Telekinesis Control range is only thirty to fifty meters."
"As long as I stay outside this range, you can't do anything to me."
The young man sneered triumphantly.
Lin Fan: "..."
Where did this clown come from?
As soon as he finished speaking, the young man immediately summoned stars to construct a Star Array. Ten purple stars appeared around him and began to connect to each other.
Lin Fan didn't wait for him to finish casting, summoning his own stars as well. Five silver-white stars circled his body, quickly condensing into a Star Array.
His casting speed was as fast as before, and he only needed a single Star Array, completing it earlier than his opponent.
Lin Fan didn't know if what the other person said was true. Nor did he care if his rank would limit the range of his Telekinesis Control.
He just raised his right hand casually, pointing at his opponent, and a light originating from the same source as the Star Array lit up in his eyes. "Telekinesis Control."
Everyone watched with great interest, wanting to see if what this Lightning Mage said was actually true.
On the arena, the young man saw Lin Fan raise his palm toward him and curled his lips in a sneer. Idiot, he knows the range isn't enough, yet he still casts? Does he think he can do whatever he wants just because his element is strong?
He snorted coldly in his heart and continued connecting the stars. Just as Lin Fan spoke the name of the Spell, he finally completed his second Star Array.
But just as he was about to launch a lightning strike at Lin Fan, a terrifying force suddenly wrapped around his body.
The young man was terrified, his eyes almost popping out of their sockets, and he was momentarily speechless.
The next second, the power around him suddenly tightened, lifting him entirely into the air.
The whole arena was shocked. Everyone's faces were filled with disbelief as they watched the Lightning Mage struggling desperately in mid-air.
But Lin Fan's control was unbreakable. No matter how he thrashed, he couldn't break free.
In the seats of the Longwei Magic Academy, the Vice Principal let out a long sigh of relief upon seeing the situation on the arena. Once Lin Fan used Telekinesis Control to hold his opponent, the match was basically over.
"As expected of the Space Element, it's almost impossible to counter." She smiled wearily.
This victory meant their academy had successfully advanced to the second round. And all of this was thanks to Lin Fan. The students understood this as well.
