As he soared past Han Mao, he twisted mid air like a dancer and extended his leg, delivering a powerful aerial kick right to Han Mao’s right shoulder — the one gripping the scythe.

Yu Xuan landed gracefully a few feet away, his expression calm, eyes sharp. The crowd was erupting now.

"He just kicked the arm with weapon! That’s some precision!"

"He’s forcing a mid range fighter into close combat. That’s textbook pressure play!"

Han Mao’s expression twisted. This bastard... he’s not just strong, he’s methodical. Blood surged through his veins as he steadied his breath.

As their conversation began, the entire section fell quiet.

"The match is becoming interesting," remarked another one, a tall man clad in pitch black robes, his voice deep and languid.

Instead of veins, faint black lines traced along his neck and arms like corrupted pathways of Qi. That even gave him an unnatural beauty.

The character for ’Death’ glowed faintly on his robes, stitched in blood-red thread. His face remained obscured in shifting shadows, unreadable, unapproachable.

"Stop joking," replied a regal female voice, calm and cold as marble.

The speaker was a stunning woman with flowing golden hair that shimmered like sunlight. Her white and gold robes bore the character for ’Order’, and her posture was flawless — poised like a sword yet unmoving like a divine statue, "This is a waste of time, I have juniors to train."

A fourth voice joined in — gruff, wet-sounding.

"Why are we even here?" It came from an unusual figure: a Kappa. His scaled skin glistened under the faint arena light, and he wore elegant golden robes patterned with stripes of jade and obsidian.

Across his chest, the character ’Heavenly Beast’ pulsed faintly. His webbed fingers were crossed over his lap.

The woman in gold gave him a glance, then turned toward the center throne. "We are only present because the Committee Head had something to discuss with the Peak Master," she explained calmly.

Then, bowing slightly toward the throne beside her, she asked, "Head, when can we leave? I need to begin training a few juniors. The Ascension Realm’s opening is near."

All eyes shifted to the woman seated at the very center.

She didn’t need to speak. Her presence was enough to command complete silence.



Her hair cascaded like snow — pure, silken strands reaching her waist. Each lash was long and pale, framing eyes like the heart of the deepest ocean glacial blue. Her skin was flawless, untouched by impurity. Lips the shade of soft cherry petals sat poised in a line, yet offered no smile or scorn.

She was breathtaking.

And yet no warmth radiated from her, only a serene glacial stillness. A queen of ice. Her very presence stilled the air around her.

She was the Head of the Discipline Committee — Though her beauty could have inspired poems, none dared to voice it.

Not when her mere gaze could paralyze the soul. Not when her mere touch could turn you into an ice sculpture.

And at that moment, her eyes were fixed solely on Yu Xuan.

Silently. Unblinking.

When she heard the question, the silver haired woman shifted her gaze toward the golden haired vice head. The latter visibly flinched under the weight of that glance.

"Why the rush, Vice Head?" the committee head said coolly. "Should I personally visit the juniors you’re so eager to train?"

"...Haha, no need. I can manage just fine," the golden haired woman replied, forcing a smile. In truth, she had only wanted an excuse to slip away and slack off.

"We’ll depart tomorrow," the committee head continued, her tone leaving no room for argument. "My business will be concluded by then."

The golden haired women nodded, they were here to just watch juniors fight and she could wait a day.
