"Rest," she whispered.A thin layer of frost spread from her palm, creeping up Ye Chen’s neck, shoulders, and chest. The brilliant golden light of his True Yang physique flickered, then dimmed, sputtering like a dying flame.

His body trembled once, then fell still.

Steam hissed violently as fire met ice, shrouding them both in swirling mist.

Soon, a grand building came into view: Multi-storied, adorned with hanging gold lanterns and jade plaques. Its structure radiated wealth and power, the kind of place where even the air seemed priced by the breath.

At the gate, robed attendants bowed politely, their eyes sharp enough to measure one’s background with a single glance.

As they approached, the guards immediately recognized Lingluo.

One of them discreetly sent a message through divine sense.

"This way, Miss Yu and her companions," a guard said respectfully, gesturing for them to follow.

They were soon led into a private chamber labeled VIP Room 7.

Moments later, the door slid open, and a mature woman entered.

She was breathtaking — fox-like eyes, velvet red lips, and several ethereal tails swaying gracefully behind her. Her presence carried both charm and danger.

"Miss Lingluo, I’m very sad," the woman said, her voice a soft purr.

Yu Xuan, Lingluo, and Ming Tianmei exchanged puzzled glances, their expressions all saying the same thing: Do we know her?

Seeing their confusion, the woman laughed lightly, covering her mouth with slender fingers.

"Aiya, I’m Huan, the branch manager of this hall. I was heartbroken when you didn’t attend yesterday’s auction, even after personally assigning a VIP room to you all."

Then, with a soft laugh and a sway of her gleaming tails, she turned to leave.

As Huan glided out of the room, the charm in her smile disappeared the moment the door closed behind her.

A faint shimmer of spiritual light flickered between her fingers as a talisman appeared in her hand.

She reread the information she had on them.

She tapped it again. This time, the small window they had been watching through shimmered like disturbed water. Lines of light crawled across the wall, forming a glowing array.

The entire surface pulsed once and then turned transparent.

Beyond it, the full grandeur of the auction hall unfolded.
