26: Chapter 26 Qin Ya went crazy: You call this a game plugin?

The cold air from the living room's AC vent blew out with a whoosh, hitting the French windows and keeping the orange sunset outside at bay.

The ice cubes in the glass had half-melted.

Lu Li was sunk deep into the leather sofa, scrolling through the minecraft forum with his left hand while swirling a half-filled cup of cola in his right, making the ice cubes clink against the glass from time to time.

If one hadn't witnessed his operations over the past two hours, anyone would think he was just an idle, rich young master.

Qin Ya sat on the single-seater sofa opposite him.

Her back was ramrod straight, the hem of her skirt was creased from being pulled down, and her fair, straight legs were angled to one side to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions.

She felt like a CPU about to overload, her mind completely filled with the code that had been rapidly scrolling across Lu Li's screen just moments ago.

It was too fast.

That wasn't writing code; it was pouring it out.

This kind of brain was simply not something an ordinary genius could possess.

If the process of rebuilding the kernel just now were recorded and sent to Silicon Valley, those tech gurus earning million-dollar salaries would probably eat their keyboards on the spot out of sheer shame.

And this god-like man now let out a loud burp.

"Burp—"

Lu Li set down his cup, finally willing to shift his gaze away from the phone screen to glance at the person opposite him.

"Staring at me the whole time. Is there something on my face?"

Qin Ya didn't say anything, her throat feeling dry.

"Lu Li," she finally spoke, her voice a bit hoarse. "Who on earth are you?"

"Su Qingxue's legal husband, a househusband, currently unemployed, dreaming of making a game that no one has ever played before."

Lu Li answered smoothly and effortlessly, clearly having memorized this spiel inside out.

Qin Ya clenched her teeth. "You know what I'm asking. That code from earlier is not something an ordinary person could write."

"Oh, that."

Lu Li casually swiped his phone screen. "Didn't I say so? To keep the game from lagging, I modified the system on a whim. You know how poorly optimized games are nowadays, and the phone manufacturers are useless. I had no choice but to do it myself to get things done."

"On a whim?"

"Modified?"

Qin Ya felt her temples throbbing.

Just to keep a game from dropping frames, you casually rewrote Android's low-level rendering architecture?

Do you hear yourself? Does that even sound like human speech?

"I don't believe you."

Qin Ya stared at him, trying to find a flaw in his lazy expression. "With this kind of technology, you could easily serve as the CTO of Guanghui Technology, or even... start your own business and build a unicorn company."

"Why are you willing to stay at home and be a... freeloader?"

She uttered those last few words with difficulty.

Even though she figured Lu Li wouldn't admit it, the outside world, and even the people from the Su family, called Lu Li that behind his back.

There was no way he hadn't heard it before.

"Stop right there."

Lu Li raised his hand in a pause gesture, looking horrified. "Beautiful Qin, don't ruin my life. Work? It's impossible for me to work. I will never work a day in my life."

He shifted into a more comfortable position, even pointing his feet toward Qin Ya, wiggling his right foot as he said lazily:

"Working nine-to-five every day, having to read reports, attend meetings, and bicker with a bunch of product managers who don't understand human language—how could that compare to the comfort I have now? Qingxue supports me; my job is to look pretty, and hers is to bring home the bacon. Isn't that great?"

Qin Ya opened her mouth, her worldview completely shattered.

How could this guy... describe living off his wife in such an elegant and refined way, even with a bizarre sense of superiority?

"Alright, stop questioning your life choices over there."

Lu Li fished another card out of his pocket, holding it between two fingers, and slid it across the marble coffee table to Qin Ya.

"There's another hundred thousand in this card. Combined with the previous one, that's two hundred thousand. The PIN is the same."

Lu Li gestured upstairs and said casually, "Keep what happened today strictly to yourself. If she finds out I can write so much code, I'll be forced to work like a dog at the company and eventually drop dead from overwork. You'd be taking my life! When that happens, I won't let you off even as a ghost."

Qin Ya looked at the bank card, her expression slowly turning from shock to shame and anger.

"One hundred thousand?"

He wanted to use a mere hundred thousand to buy silence on a secret that could potentially reshape the tech industry?

More importantly, although Qin Ya's company was on the verge of bankruptcy, she was still the young mistress of the Qin family. Was she really that desperate for a hundred thousand?

And how could it be that exaggerated? Dropping dead from overwork just by being a systems engineer—could it really be that ridiculous?

"Lu Li, are you trying to humiliate me?"

Qin Ya pushed both cards back, her voice turning cold. "Although my company was poorly managed and Senior Sister Su acquired a controlling stake, I wouldn't sell out a friend for a mere two hundred thousand.

The reason I don't want to tell Qingxue is that I'm still evaluating whether you pose a threat to Guanghui Technology, not for your filthy money."

Lu Li was taken aback for a moment.

Oh? This rich second-generation actually has some backbone.

His eyelids drooped slightly, feeling a bit of a headache.

This woman was completely unyielding, impervious to both soft and hard approaches.

If she were the type who got starry-eyed at the sight of money, it would be easy. But she just had to be an idealistic, wealthy young lady, which made things very difficult.

If she ever had afternoon tea with Su Qingxue and let it slip, his good days would be officially over.

Lu Li sat up straight, lightly tapping his fingers on his knee twice.

He picked up his phone, switched to the browser, and searched for 'Qin Ya'.

Qin Ya, a PhD holder returned from abroad, specializing in computer vision and deep learning. After returning to the country, she founded Smart Vision Technology, focusing on gesture recognition and micro-expression analysis.

As well as portrait analysis and recognition, aiming to collaborate with mobile phone or electronic lock companies to develop facial recognition unlocking.

Isn't this just AI visual recognition?

Her idea was great, and her forward-looking vision surpassed many people's.

However, implementing the technology was too difficult. The recognition rate was stuck at around 85%, making it impossible for commercial use. Having burned through their angel round, she had no choice but to sell the company to Su Qingxue a few days ago.

"Smart Vision, right?"

Lu Li suddenly asked.

Qin Ya was startled. "You're researching me?"

"No need to research. Qingxue told me about it. She said she acquired a total mess, purely as an act of charity," Lu Li couldn't help but say venomously.

Although he was in the wrong for what happened this morning, having pinned her down thinking she was a thief.

But now, in order to protect his easy life, he had to completely suppress this woman in terms of momentum.

Lest she recount his operations just now to Su Qingxue, which would make it completely impossible to explain.

Qin Ya's face instantly flushed red, and she stood up abruptly. "You..."

"What 'you'? Am I wrong?" The corner of Lu Li's mouth curled up. He knew exactly how to shut Qin Ya's mouth now.

"So what if you found out? Don't tell me you also understand AI visual analysis?" She laughed out of anger. "Do you have any idea how complex a 3D Convolutional Neural Network is?"

She simply didn't believe a person could be talented to such an extent.

"Let me see the technical path your company is taking."

Lu Li opened Smart Vision's official website and examined it carefully, not missing a single detail.

He even went as far as looking up the detailed profiles of several core members of their technical team.

This scene made Qin Ya feel slightly uneasy and suspicious. Lu Li was actually using his phone to look up their company's information.

But what could he possibly find online?

Find the names of the core team leaders?

Their official website didn't have any information on their main research directions.

No matter how much of a genius Lu Li was, he couldn't make something out of nothing.

"Your core algorithm uses 3D-CNN (3D Convolutional Neural Network)?"

Ignoring her anger, Lu Li said to himself, "The direction is correct, but your data cleaning is done terribly. If the outdoor light is slightly stronger, or the sign language gestures are slightly faster, the recognition rate drops below 60%, right?"

Qin Ya's pupils contracted sharply.

If Lu Li modifying the system code earlier had shocked her, then his words now absolutely terrified her.

Only she and the company's CTO knew these core data points!

Even Su Qingxue hadn't been shown such detailed technical files!

How did he know?
