289: Chapter 289 Next Stop: The Sea of Stars, Mr. Lu Takes Us to Celebrate the New Year in the Sky
"Is this really a hotel?"
The young man beside him muttered, "Why do I feel like I've walked onto a sci-fi movie set?"
His companion stared at the star wing m1 on the light screen, eyes brightening.
"It's not just like one."
"Guanghui Technology has brought sci-fi into reality."
What's even more exaggerated is that this New Year's Eve event by Guanghui Technology isn't just an internal dinner.
Lu Li directly put up 100 billion as an annual special bonus pool for Guanghui Group.
As soon as the news was announced, the entire internet exploded.
"Holy crap, 100 billion? This isn't a year-end bonus; this is just straight-up throwing money around, right?"
"Is it too late for me to quit my job and go sweep floors at Guanghui Technology?"
"Don't dream. I have a master's degree and tried to get into Guanghui Technology, but I got rejected. 2,400 master's graduates competing for 12 positions... though maybe there's still a chance at the factories below."
"Guanghui Technology employees will be able to wake up laughing in their sleep tonight."
"Hosting a New Year's event with a 100 billion bonus pool—is this the true weight of the world's number one tech company?"
"I used to think it was an exaggeration when people said Guanghui Technology had surpassed Apple and Microsoft, but now I realize my perspective was too small."
"Institutions have already crunched the numbers; Guanghui Technology's comprehensive scale, technical barriers, cash flow, and product influence are no longer comparable to traditional tech companies."
"Apple and Microsoft are still selling software and hardware, while Guanghui Technology is already selling future living."
"Can we finally say it today? Guanghui Technology, the world's number one tech company."
The internet was buzzing with heated discussion.
Inside Guanghui Technology, it was equally lively.
Starting in the afternoon, star wing m1s were constantly landing on the low-altitude platforms outside the Guanghui Yunting Hotel in the Chengbei District of Mingzhu City.
Whenever a star wing m1 approached the airspace above the hotel, soft blue guide lights would illuminate the edges of the platform.
The air traffic system automatically identified the vehicle's registration number.
Once the authorization was confirmed, a docking channel slowly opened in the center of the platform.
The star wing m1 hovered gently in the air.
Then, as if guided by an invisible track, it landed steadily into the integrated parking platform.
The mechanical structure at the bottom of the platform automatically locked the vehicle in place.
A transparent protective corridor then rose up.
Passengers didn't need to be exposed to the wind or worry about height differences; they only needed to walk along the slowly extending skybridge to step directly inside the hotel.
Many employees visiting the Guanghui Yunting Hotel for the first time were stunned as soon as they stepped off their aerial vehicles.
Because they weren't entering the hotel through the main entrance, but from the sky.
Beneath their feet was a floating corridor with slowly flowing lights.
To their sides was the skyline of high-rise buildings in the Chengbei District of Mingzhu City.
Looking down further, the entrance to the hotel was bustling with crowds, and the Mirage Air Imaging light screens were looping through Guanghui Technology's product matrix.
The feeling wasn't like attending a company annual meeting; it was more like entering a future city ahead of time.
"I used to think the headquarters building was exaggerated enough," a young engineer said, standing on the corridor, unable to help but look down at his feet.
"Now I realize that Boss Lu is actually planning to build a city of the future."
His colleague next to him was recording a video, grinning from ear to ear.
"Stop talking, just record. I want to show my parents when I get home. They still think I work in an ordinary factory."
As the two spoke, the automatic door at the end of the corridor opened.
In the hotel lobby, Robot waiters wove through the crowd.
They weren't cold mechanical shells; they used Guanghui Technology's latest generation of bionic service exteriors.
Their movements were fluid, their speech natural, and their trays were as steady as if they were welded to their hands.
Someone had just walked into the lobby when a Robot nearby bowed slightly.
"Welcome home, Mr. Chen of Guanghui Technology. Your seat for the banquet is at Table 12, Area A, in the Galaxy Hall on the third floor. The elevator has been reserved for you; you can reach it by walking thirty meters straight down the right passage."
The employee was stunned.
"You know who I am?"
The Robot looked up, its tone gentle.
"Based on employee authorization identification information, your identity has been verified. Additionally, you submitted a preference for overtime meal flavors last month. Your seat tonight has been automatically arranged to avoid dishes containing cilantro."
The employee's eyes widened instantly.
The colleague next to him couldn't stop laughing.
"It's over, the company has even noted your little quirks."
The employee rubbed his nose, feigning disdain while his eyes were full of wonder.
"This is called being user-friendly."
At the reception desk, there were no traditional receptionists.
There, a smart AI image formed by Mirage Air Imaging floated.
She was wearing the Guanghui Yunting Hotel uniform, smiling, and communicating with every guest like a real person.
After employees verified their identity via face scan, she would automatically display their seat, department, companions, and event schedule.
Someone stood in front of the reception desk on purpose and asked with a smile, "Can I sit next to Boss Lu?"
The AI receptionist smiled and replied, "I'm sorry, but the seat next to Boss Lu has already been taken by his virtuous wife, Boss Su."
A group of employees around them burst into laughter on the spot.
The man also laughed.
"That answer has a strong survival instinct."
The AI receptionist kept smiling.
"Thank you for the compliment; survival instinct is an important component of the radiance ai service module."
The lobby became even livelier.
Ordinary employees, R&D personnel, flagship store managers, factory representatives, after-sales engineers, overseas business department staff, the hotel management team, and members of the low-altitude traffic pilot project were all arriving one after another.
Some wore suits, some wore formal attire, and others had just rushed over from project sites, still wearing their Guanghui Technology work uniforms under their coats.
But no one felt it was out of place, because this night belonged to all the Guanghui Technology people.
The hotel's largest banquet hall was set up as the main venue.
A full hundred tables covered the entire hall.
Above the dome, Mirage Air Imaging projected a slowly flowing galaxy.
The central stage wasn't piled with too many traditional red decorations; instead, it featured a minimalist silver-white metal structure combined with floating light screens, looking grand and sci-fi.
Behind the stage, all the important products of Guanghui Group from the past few years appeared in sequence.
From Virtual Helmets to home Robots.
From Guanghui Mobile to Qingzhou chips.
From Mirage Air Imaging to star wing m1.
Every time a product appeared, a low murmur of discussion would rise from the audience.
Many employees looked at those products with an indescribable feeling in their hearts.
Because they weren't bystanders; they had participated in parts of them.
Even if it was just tightening a screw, writing a piece of test code, receiving a customer, or handling an after-sales issue, they had all played a part in pushing these things to the world with their own hands.
The main banquet hall couldn't seat everyone.
The three-story private rooms in the hotel's dining area were also fully booked.
The entire five-star hotel next door was also rented out by Lu Li.
All venues were connected in real-time using Guanghui Technology's internal live streaming system.
Every banquet hall, every private room, and every sub-venue could see the main stage broadcast.
The standard for each table was 2,500.
And it wasn't just for show.
As soon as the cold dishes were served, the quality was evident.
Matsutake chicken soup, steamed leopard coral grouper, braised sea cucumber with scallions, lobster baked with black truffle, crab roe lion's head meatballs, braised beef ribs, and fish maw in golden soup.
There were also local dishes specially arranged to accommodate the different tastes of employees from various regions.
