97: Chapter 97 What's the surprise? Good heavens, Glorious is aiming for the top tier of mechs!

The house was nice and warm.

The TV was playing the lively Spring Festival Gala warm-up program.

Lu Li's family, along with his younger aunt Lu Ying's family and his Second Aunt's family who had rushed over upon hearing the news, packed the spacious living room to the brim.

Sunflower seed shells littered the floor, and the aroma of tea filled the air.

This bustle made Lu Li feel incredibly at ease.

There were no business schemes, no technical blockades, just simple family chatter.

"Cousin, that Robot of yours is so awesome!"

Wang Peng, the little chubby boy from Second Aunt's family, had just started the sixth grade this year and was at the age where he was most fanatical about tech products.

He pushed up the thick glasses on the bridge of his nose and gazed at Lu Li eagerly.

"That Doraemon—the internet says it can help with homework and practice games. Is that true?"

Lu Li peeled an orange and handed it to Su Qingxue, remarking casually, "It does have that function."

Wang Peng's eyes lit up instantly, and he was so excited that his cheeks wobbled. "Then... can you lend it to me for two days? I promise I won't feed it random dorayaki!"

The whole room burst into laughter.

His cousin Yang Yueru mocked him mercilessly, "Wang Peng, keep dreaming! That's the latest model from Guanghui Technology. It costs tens of thousands, and you can't even buy one with money!"

Yang Yueru was the daughter of his younger aunt. She was a senior in high school this year and was very smart, consistently ranking in the top ten in her monthly exams.

The reason she was older than Wang Peng was that her parents had married early, so she had been born earlier.

Wang Peng instantly looked like a deflated balloon, drooping his head. "I know I can't buy it... Only Li Hao in my class has one. He shows off every day and won't even let me touch it."

Su Qingxue looked at the little chubby boy's aggrieved expression and found it quite amusing. "Pengpeng, how did you do on your final exams?"

That was a precise strike.

In an instant, Wang Peng's happy expression shifted to one that screamed "I'm dead." He said dejectedly, "Don't even ask. Both Chinese and Math were two points shy of a perfect score."

Lu Li watched the little chubby boy, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

His relatives were actually very kind. There was no intrigue or jealousy among them.

Even after he and Su Qingxue got married and he clearly had money, no one ever asked to borrow from him.

When he offered to lend them money, both aunts waved it off, saying, "It's not easy for Lu Li and his wife. It looks like they run a big company, but if something goes wrong, they might run into financial trouble!"

This was why the whole family—even though they were married and had children of their own—still spent the Lunar New Year at his foster father's house.

Even when he was studying in the city as a child, whenever he ran into his two aunts, they would frequently give him pocket money.

During holidays, they would even take him out to have fun. They never treated him like an adopted child, regarding him instead as their own nephew.

Just like that, the whole family chatted happily, and the day passed by quickly.

Yang Yueru also went to the kitchen to help her foster mother.

"Beep—beep—" Just then, two crisp honks echoed through the village entrance.

Lu Li brushed the orange peel from his hands and stood up, a mysterious curve playing on his lips. "Pengpeng, stop playing on your phone."

"Go outside and take a look. Your surprise has arrived."

A surprise? Everyone in the room was stunned.

Su Qingxue pursed her lips and smiled; she naturally knew what Lu Li had prepared.

The group walked out of the small villa, looking puzzled.

A box truck was parked steadily at the entrance.

The commotion startled the surrounding neighbors.

Old Wang from next door, draped in a military coat with a cigarette between his fingers, poked his head out. "What big item did the Lu family buy? Look at that truckload."

"Probably furniture, right? That kid Lu Li has made something of himself; he must be upgrading things for the family."

"But there's no need for such a big truck..."

Amidst the curious gazes, Lu Li walked forward and signaled the driver to open the back door of the cargo hold.

"Clatter—" The metal shutter door rolled up.

The early winter sunlight spilled into the cargo hold, illuminating the neatly stacked silver metal cases inside.

Each case was stamped with Guanghui Technology's incredibly futuristic logo.

The exquisite industrial design created a stark visual contrast with the earthy, rustic village setting.

"This is..." Wang Peng rubbed his eyes, vaguely feeling that the logo looked familiar.

Lu Li casually lifted a case down, placed it on the ground, and looked at Lu Yaoguang and Wang Peng, who could no longer contain themselves.

"Why are you just standing there? Open it."

The children swarmed forward.

Lu Yaoguang was the fastest; she tore off the seal and lifted the lid.

The next second.

A scream, loud enough to pierce eardrums, echoed over the entire village.

"Ahhhhh!!!"

"It's actually dorami!!"

"Isn't this what everyone on the internet was guessing? Guanghui Technology actually produced it!"

Inside the case, a pink-painted, exquisitely designed yellow Robot cat lay quietly in the shock-absorbent foam.

That was dorami, which hadn't even had concept art released on the market yet!

And in the case next to it, sat a blue Doraemon!

Wang Peng was completely stunned. He reached out with trembling hands to touch it; the texture was cool and smooth—the hallmark of top-tier alloy.

"This isn't an ordinary toy..." he muttered to himself. "This is... the real deal?"

"Of course it's the real deal." Lu Li smiled, lifted down a smaller box, and tossed it to Wang Peng.

Wang Peng caught it in a flurry.

The box was pure black with no flashy patterns, only a line of small gold-stamped characters on the front: [Guanghui 8 Ultra · Internal Supreme Edition] [Equipped with Qinglong T1 Top Secret Engineering Prototype]

Although Wang Peng didn't understand what 5nm meant, he recognized the words "Ultra" and "Supreme Edition."

His hands trembled as he tore open the plastic seal.

A phone with a shimmering body and a screen that seemed to spill over like water droplets lay quietly in the box.

Its sense of technology was more stunning than any concept phone he had ever seen online.

"This... what phone is this?" Wang Peng asked, stammering.

Lu Li had his hands in his pockets, his tone as flat as if he were talking about a head of cabbage he'd just bought. "Oh, it's the flagship phone the company is planning to release next year."

"The chip it uses is several times faster than the best ones currently on the market."

"I saw you didn't have a phone, so I happened to bring back a few dozen. Distribute them among the relatives and elders at home—one for everyone. Feel free to use them."

The air around them suddenly went quiet.

The cigarette in Old Wang's hand fell to the ground with a "clatter."

A few dozen? Not yet released? Several times faster than the best?

Second Aunt looked at the incredibly sci-fi phone in her hand, then at the truckload of Robots beside her, which were worth enough to buy half the village.

She suddenly felt that this nephew, whom she had watched grow up, was now so unfamiliar that it made her feel a little dizzy.

This wasn't just coming home for the Lunar New Year. This was clearly moving the future world of technology right to their doorstep!

"Brother..." Wang Peng cradled the phone, tears welling up in his eyes—tears of excitement.

"If I take this to school... every girl in the school will be chasing after me!"

Lu Li patted his head and scolded him with a smile, "You've got ambition."

Su Qingxue stood beside Lu Li, watching her husband's nonchalant yet secretly smug expression, and couldn't help but give his palm a gentle squeeze.

This guy. He was clearly showing off, yet he insisted on acting as if "this is just a local specialty." But... he was so handsome.
