65: Chapter 65 Doraemon is alive?! Giving the world a mechanical shock!

Lu Li had to raise his chin a couple of inches.

If he didn't lift his head, he would be strangled by his overexcited wife.

He freed one hand and ran his fingertips through Su Qingxue's slightly messy hair, tucking the stray bangs hanging before her eyes behind her ear.

His movements were practiced, carrying a touch of reassurance.

"Basic operation, stay calm."

Lu Li's tone was languid, as if he had just done something insignificant:

"Whether rich or poor, everyone has the right to enjoy technology. This is what Guanghui Technology should do, and besides..."

He paused there, his gaze sweeping over Su Qingxue's startlingly bright eyes.

In truth, there was half a sentence he hadn't said.

Those suppliers who had intended to watch the joke or even kick them while they were down, now seeing this overwhelming traffic, were probably holding meetings overnight, trying to figure out how to prioritize production capacity for Guanghui Technology.

This was the business world—realistic and blatant.

Therefore, it was impossible to lose money on the Pioneer 1 Youth Edition.

Su Qingxue tilted her head back, staring at this man at close range.

His pupils were pitch-black and clear, reflecting her own flushed cheeks.

There was not a hint of ecstasy from the internet-wide adoration.

This composure carved into his bones made her heart pound uncontrollably against her chest.

This was her man.

Whether facing condemnation from thousands or adoration from millions, he was always so... steady.

Steady enough to give one peace of mind, and steady enough to be mesmerizing.

Su Qingxue considered herself a calm and rational manager; the loss of composure from her frantic run back earlier had actually far exceeded her daily behavioral logic.

But in front of Lu Li, she didn't want to be some aloof CEO.

She just wanted to be a little girl who could share her joy, and then watch him look at her with that "what's there to make such a fuss about" gaze.

That understated handsomeness was simply lethal.

"Qingxue."

Lu Li suddenly spoke, breaking the amorous eye contact.

"Do you want to see something more exciting?"

"Hmm?"

Su Qingxue blinked, her curiosity instantly piqued.

Something crazier than igniting public opinion across the whole network, moving countless people to tears, and accomplishing the feat of "technological equality"?

What could that be?

Could it be watching some unbroadcastable movie?

She blushed deeply and nodded gently:

"What is it?"

Lu Li, however, kept her in suspense, only smiling without saying a word.

What he was thinking about was actually another accessibility feature in development, to give her a surprise, but right now, another surprise had arrived first.

Lu Li glanced at the phone on the desktop; the screen just happened to light up.

Chen Shuyu's message was concise:

"It's here."

Ding-dong—

Just then, the villa's doorbell rang.

Su Qingxue straightened her clothes and got up to open the door.

The door opened.

It was Chen Shuyu and Chief Engineer Zhang Jianguo, accompanied by several core engineers, carefully pushing a cart covered with a red velvet cloth as they walked in.

"Lu Li, Qingxue, the upgraded version... is here." Chen Shuyu's tone was filled with anticipation and a hint of nervousness.

Chief Engineer Zhang Jianguo was even more exaggerated.

This old engineer, over half a century old, had dark circles around his eyes from staying up late, but his eyes were startlingly bright.

Over the past two months, Lu Li had split and reorganized the original Su Precision Machinery.

On one side, they had been integrated into the Guanghui Technology Robot production plant, with both sides managed by Chen Shuyu as acting CEO.

Lu Li stood up from the sofa.

He walked to the cart and, amidst the expectant gazes of Su Qingxue and Chen Shuyu, grasped a corner of the velvet cloth.

With a flick of his wrist, he whipped it off.

Whoosh—

The red cloth fell to the ground, kicking up a light dust.

A brand new, blue and white Doraemon stood quietly before everyone.

It was still that familiar blue and white color scheme, still that round and honest Doraemon shape.

But Su Qingxue only glanced at it, and her pupils suddenly constricted.

It was different.

Completely different!

If what she had seen last time was an exquisite, lifeless model,

then at this moment...

Its round electronic eyes were glowing with a lively and soft blue light.

When Su Qingxue looked over, the aperture in those eyes contracted slightly, as if human pupils were focusing.

It didn't move, yet it gave the illusion that it was "observing."

Lu Li picked up a black head-mounted recording device from the table and placed it on top of Doraemon's head.

Then, he took a step back and snapped his fingers.

"Doraemon, look over here."

Hum—

The sound was extremely faint; it was the sound of top-tier servo motors at work.

The Robot's round head turned at an angle with extreme smoothness.

There was no mechanical jerkiness; it was as fluid as the rotation of a biological cervical spine.

Those slightly glowing electronic eyes precisely locked onto Lu Li's face.

Immediately after.

It turned its head again and looked at Su Qingxue.

The blue aperture in the eye-area screen flickered twice.

The display screen at its originally straight mouth saw its pixels rapidly rearrange, suddenly curving into an arc.

That was... a smile?

Su Qingxue felt all the hairs on her body stand up.

It's looking at me.

It's really looking at me!

"True technology is not cold, lifeless parameters."

Lu Li's voice echoed in the living room, carrying a confidence that commanded the future.

He turned around, stood beside Doraemon, placed a hand on Doraemon's head, and flashed a brilliant smile at the camera.

"Phones are just the appetizer."

"Next."

"Let us use this Doraemon's first-person perspective to give this world a little... mechanical shock."
