3: Chapter 3 Are you hiding something from me?

Soon, clad in slippers and carrying her live-streaming equipment, she walked into her exclusive laboratory.

This was her sanctuary of technology.

Inside the dust-proof glass cabinets, a dazzling array of tools and mobile phone accessories shimmered with a cold luster under the lights.

From all previous generations of Guanghui Technology products to components for every mainstream model on the market, everything was there.

As the CEO of Guanghui Mobile, owning a top-tier laboratory was only natural.

Su Qingxue walked straight to the shelving unit where the batteries were stored, her gaze darting rapidly between the ribbon cable interface of the phone in her hand and the various batteries in the cabinet.

Found it!

She locked onto a battery with a ribbon cable specification that matched perfectly.

The so-called ribbon cable was the lifeline connecting to the motherboard, much like the 8-pin interface connecting a computer's graphics card—a single plug or unplug determined the power supply.

Su Qingxue securely set up the live-streaming equipment on the center workbench, aiming the lens at her hands.

She picked up the futuristic phone, her fingertips feeling the coldness of the metal casing, and then precisely inserted the battery ribbon cable into the motherboard interface.

"Click." A barely audible sound.

She pressed the power button.

Fortunately, the phone's button ribbon cable was intact; otherwise, faced with a completely unfamiliar motherboard, she wouldn't have dared to attempt a short-circuit.

The live stream's chat barrage instantly froze, and every viewer held their breath.

"It's coming, it's coming! The moment to witness a miracle!"

"Whether this thing is actually a dummy model or not, we're about to find out!"

"I'm so nervous my palms are sweating. If this phone actually turns on, Guanghui Technology is going to take off!"

The screen lit up.

Su Qingxue's eyelashes trembled uncontrollably.

The boot screen wasn't the familiar Guanghui Technology logo, but a brand-new "R" emblem formed by countless points of light—black text on a white background, minimalist yet filled with a sense of technological mystery.

The next second, the entire screen lit up, the image filling every corner of the phone.

No forehead, no chin.

That incredible screen-to-body ratio completely subverted her perception of current mobile phone designs.

This was no longer the "compromise" seen in the samsung s8, with its 0.7-centimeter top and bottom bezels, but a near-one-hundred-percent purity.

The front-facing camera was cleverly designed as a droplet of water suspended at the top of the screen, full of agility and aesthetic appeal.

This wasn't just an improvement; this was pioneering an entirely new playing field!

The live stream exploded.

"Holy crap! It's a real device! This fucking phone must be from the future!"

"This screen! This design! I declare that the phone I'm using right now is just a brick!"

"Guanghui Technology is awesome! This is the real new product! Hurry up with the launch event; my wallet is ready!"

"Record the screen, record the screen! A historic moment!"

Su Qingxue's breathing grew slightly rapid, her eyes gleaming with an unprecedented light as she stared intently at the phone's home screen, which was about to load.

However, just as everyone's anticipation reached its peak, a cold prompt box popped up in the center of the screen without warning:

[Non-original battery detected. The phone is about to shut down!]

With a "beep," the screen instantly went dark.

Su Qingxue was completely stunned. She had never expected that this ahead-of-its-time phone would actually have such a domineering feature as non-original battery detection built in!

The live stream also fell into a momentary, deathly silence.

"Good grief, I'm speechless! This feature is even more ruthless than Apple's!"

"Preventing users from replacing the battery themselves? It even has this technology built in?!"

"Don't do this! I've already taken my pants off, and this is what you show me? I want to see the home screen! I want to see the display quality!"

Su Qingxue picked up the now completely dark phone, her heart filled with a mix of confusion and a trace of annoyance at being teased.

Facing the live-streaming lens, her cold, stunningly beautiful face showed, for the first time, an inability to mask her emotional fluctuations.

"How about… we go ask my husband?"

Her voice was soft, yet carried an unquestionable determination.

"He definitely knows something about this phone!"

At this moment, her mind was filled with countless questions.

Where exactly did this phone come from?

Could it be that Lu Li had someone design it behind her back?

She suddenly felt that her "salted fish" husband, who spent his days at home sunbathing and playing video games, was shrouded in a thick layer of mystery.

When they got married, they had agreed to be absolutely honest with each other.

This was the most basic trust between husband and wife.

Thinking of this, Su Qingxue's brows knit together, and a chill radiated from her beautiful phoenix eyes.

Lu Li! You guy, how dare you lie to me!

She grabbed the Full-screen display phone, carried her gimbal-mounted live-streaming equipment, and walked "tap-tap-tap" in her slippers up to the third floor, heading straight for the balcony.

The afternoon sun was perfect, and Lu Li was sprawled out on a lounge chair, eyes squinting in contentment.

He was still completely unaware that a domestic storm was sweeping toward him.

He even lazily stretched, pointing toward the cluster of juicy green grapes on the coffee table as Su Qingxue approached.

"Wife, feed me one. Thanks!"

The viewers in the live stream saw this scene, and the chat barrage instantly exploded.

"??? Did I hear that right? He's asking the goddess to feed him grapes?"

"This freeloader is too arrogant! He takes hundreds of thousands in pocket money and still treats the goddess like a maid?"

"Forget it, everyone, disperse. CEO Su would never feed him. Our CEO Su is a domineering boss; how could she possibly do something like that?"

Everyone thought this was absolutely impossible.

After all, Su Qingxue's public image was always that of a cold, decisive, and stern businesswoman.

However, the next second, the jaws of every viewer nearly dropped in shock.

Su Qingxue stopped in her tracks, her gaze shifting back and forth between Lu Li's handsome face and the cluster of green grapes.

Her expression was complex, as if she were weighing whether to fly into a rage or satisfy his unreasonable request first.

A few seconds later, she actually leaned down, her slender fingers picking up a plump green grape and gently placing it into Lu Li's mouth.

"Damn! I was caught off guard by this public display of affection!"

"Ahhh! CEO Su is so doting on her husband in private! What kind of divine romance is this!"

"I'm crying with envy. Endless pocket money every month and the goddess feeding him Apple by hand? Did this guy save the galaxy in his past life?"

"And that's not all; he probably gets to eat 'little cakes' at night too…"

Lu Li enjoyed being fed by his wife, feeling delighted inside. He even noticed a charming flush on her cheeks, likely from walking too quickly.

However, before he could even savor the sweetness of the grape, a cold voice came from above him.

Su Qingxue forcibly suppressed all the emotions in her heart, transforming back into that high-and-mighty CEO as she looked down at him.

"Husband, are you hiding something from me?"

Lu Li's heart skipped a beat, but his face remained calm. He smiled without hesitation, saying, "What could I possibly be hiding from you? I stay inside all day; aren't I always right under your nose?"

With such a beautiful and capable wife, why would he go out and flirt? Was he out of his mind?

"Is that so?"

Su Qingxue sneered.

"Then what is this? Explain it to me!"

She suddenly thrust her right hand, which she had been hiding behind her back, in front of Lu Li.

The Full-screen display phone that had just gone dark lay quietly in her palm.

The moment he saw it, the smile on Lu Li's face completely froze, and a bead of cold sweat trickled down his temple.

Holy crap!

Isn't this the "Star S2" Full-screen display phone that the system rewarded me with—the one I developed with my own hands in my previous life?!

He clearly remembered that after he got his hands on it, he couldn't even be bothered to turn it on and had already taken it apart into pieces!

The screen and the motherboard had been separated, and the battery had long since been thrown away!

And those paper technical documents—he had spent days entering them onto a USB drive, then tore them all up and burned them to ashes in a flower pot!

To vent his frustration after days of labor, he had even crumpled up the unimportant covers and swatted them away with a tennis racket.

How could the phone… how could she have put it back together?!

"Wife, isn't this the new phone Guanghui Technology is about to release? It looks quite unique." Lu Li's brain raced as he decided to play dumb until the end.

"Lu Li!"

Su Qingxue's voice suddenly rose, carrying a bone-chilling coldness that seemed to dissipate the sweltering midsummer heat on the balcony.

"Do you think this kind of answer is funny?"

"This thing was found in our home's gaming room. Besides you and me, is there any third person who could have entered that room?"
