100: The spark of civilization, snap, is gone

“Heavenly Demon, I want you to be buried with me!”

God Spawn Mol exploded with power.

He immediately anchored himself to the Path of Vengeance, began to condense the Divine Stairway, and prepared to step into God Ascension First Order.

“?????”

Good news: Lin Chen encountered the low-probability event of a battlefield breakthrough.

Bad news: The one breaking through was not him, but his enemy.

“Heavenly Demon, the tables have turned!”

“Cultured, but not quite.”

Mol’s battlefield breakthrough was not an invincible frame, and it was a hasty breakthrough without any preparation.

If Lin Chen didn’t seize this opportunity to strike down a drowning dog, he would be counterattacked afterward and have to be rescued by others, which would be talked about for a lifetime.

“You don’t play by the rules!”

“Martial ethics only apply to one’s own kind. You are not my kind, so interrupting your breakthrough is just a matter of convenience.”

“You!”

Mol, after Lin Chen’s series of actions, not only failed to break through but also lost more than half of his divinity because his Divine Stairway was shattered, causing his cultivation to drop instead of increase.

He raised his Great Desolate Imprisoning Heaven Finger, attempting to point Lin Chen to death.

“Why are you pointing at me? We are enemies. Do you expect me to admire you and let you break through, putting pressure on myself? Wouldn’t that be foolish?”

Lin Chen rarely explained himself, then swiftly took off the head with a blade. A few more words, and there was a risk of capsizing, so it was better to kill first and talk later.

“Hehe, I’m really a good person. I helped you reunite with your beloved sister. Perhaps you really can meet in reincarnation.”

Putting away God Spawn Mol’s corpse, Lin Chen looked at the surrounding battlefield, which was basically coming to an end. Five half-god human geniuses against more than two hundred half-god One-Eyed Giants—this was an evenly matched battle.

As the last half-god One-Eyed Giant was killed, this small-scale battle ended, and the five people came before Lin Chen.

Everyone introduced themselves. Although there was basic information provided by human luck, it was better to make friends personally. Knowing only basic information wouldn't lead to friendship.

All five were half-god cultivators, aged between 22 and 24, all Lin Chen’s peers.

Wang Tianhua and Zhao Zhi came from the First Academy, Linyang and Shen Miaoyi from the Eighth Academy, and Gu Jing’er from the Tenth Academy.

“Everyone, are you interested in doing something big with me?”

Gu Jing’er spoke, obviously having made a discovery.

“Count me in. I don't have a goal anyway.”

Linyang was the first to agree. This person was also Lin Chen’s relative, but their bloodline seniority was quite distant, one from the second lineage and the other from the seventh, one 37th generation and the other 58th generation.

Shen Miaoyi and Linyang were a unit; she followed Linyang’s opinion, and the two were quite close, clearly a young couple.

Wang Tianhua and Zhao Zhi also expressed their willingness to join. Although they didn't know what they were going to do yet, joining was the right move.

Lin Chen was also willing to join the fun, as it wouldn't affect anything anyway.

After entering the One-Eyed Giant Ancestral Star, the Three Souls Clone did not act with Lin Chen (Copy Body) but dispersed to other areas, killing enemies and exploring opportunities in this place.

So, Lin Chen joining the team to blend in wouldn't affect anything.

Seeing that everyone agreed to follow her, Gu Jing’er stopped being mysterious and shared the information she had gathered.

Gu Jing’er had a precognitive talent; she had foreseen the location of a Spark Base that was about to be activated.

The Spark Base of the One-Eyed Giant Race is similar in concept to the Supreme Academy of the Human Race, differing only in scale: one is sun-level, the other is a small spark-level.

The Spark Base she foresaw was just an inconspicuous spark reserve point of the One-Eyed Giant Race, with a low sequence position. This meant that the defensive strength was not strong, and there were most likely no Ninth Order Gods, so their strength could handle it.

And so, everyone began to act.

Gu Jing’er provided the coordinates, and Lin Chen directly teleported everyone near the Spark Base, while the others prepared for battle.

The Spark Base was hidden inside a large mountain and was currently undergoing activation. The number of One-Eyed Giants serving as sparks inside was not large, only ten thousand, plus one thousand cannon fodder One-Eyed Giants responsible for activating the plan.

Among the ten thousand sparks, there were five Ninth Order Gods One-Eyed Giants, in a state of forced slumber, with no life fluctuations at all; they were the base’s biggest trump card.

There were one thousand half-god One-Eyed Giants, and the other One-Eyed Giants were noble infants. The half-god One-Eyed Giants were responsible for protecting the infants and carrying traditions and resources for a comeback.

The One-Eyed Giants responsible for activating the Spark Base dared not make too drastic movements and acted very cautiously, fearing discovery by the Human Race.

Apparently, this Spark Base had bad luck; it was discovered before it even set off, and its fate was naturally sealed.

In fact, even if the Spark Base wasn't discovered, it couldn't escape. Grandmaster Kongwen’s spatial blockade was no joke; all escape attempts would be intercepted.

“There are five Ninth Order Gods One-Eyed Giants in a dormant state, one hundred God Spawn level half-god One-Eyed Giants, and the other One-Eyed Giants are cannon fodder combat power, not worth mentioning.”

Linyang used his talent to perceive the situation inside the Spark Base in detail. He had obtained the number and distribution of enemies and shared the information with the team.

“Since they are sleeping, then they should never wake up. I can set up a slumber ritual to completely banish their consciousness into the dream realm.”

Shen Miaoyi, who seemed gentle and weak, had a very strong attitude and ruthless methods.

“I think direct poisoning would end the battle faster. Even if the Ninth Order Gods One-Eyed Giants are awakened, their strength would be greatly reduced by the poison, and we should be able to kill them.”

As Wang Tianhua spoke, he casually conjured a wisp of green mist. As the green mist drifted, the surrounding space decayed and sickened.

“We are here to harvest resources. Poisoning is too destructive, and the harvest will be greatly reduced. I think Fellow Daoist Shen’s suggestion is very good. We can completely set up a large-scale dream ritual to directly kill all One-Eyed Giants from the dream level.”

Zhao Zhi also offered his action plan.

“Our goal is to acquire the resources of the Spark Base. I have a spatial displacement formation that can completely harvest resources without risk before engaging in battle.”

Gu Jing’er also brought out her countermeasure.

The five were indeed domain-level geniuses; their knowledge and methods were extraordinary, and they possessed many good things.

Lin Chen said nothing, only pulling out a square-shaped weapon from his storage ring.

There were clearly knowledgeable people present.

“Consciousness Imprisonment Cube!”

Gu Jing’er exclaimed.

Linyang and the other four looked at Lin Chen and Gu Jing’er, signaling them to explain what this thing was, as they really didn’t understand the Consciousness Imprisonment Cube, mainly because they weren’t very familiar with tech-side weapons.

“A high-end technological weapon specifically targeting consciousness entities. Once activated, it can imprison the consciousness of enemies up to Ninth Order Gods in cultivation. It can be used multiple times and is perfectly suited for our current situation.”

Gu Jing’er explained, and everyone became even more curious about the small Consciousness Imprisonment Cube. This thing was clearly not something they could access at their current stage.

Although curious, no one asked about the origin of the item.

Everyone brainstormed and combined everyone’s methods to formulate a very suitable combat plan.

Linyang was responsible for monitoring the movements of the Spark Base, providing intelligence support, and assisting Shen Miaoyi, Zhao Zhi, and Gu Jing’er in setting up rituals and formations to suppress the enemy from another dimension.

Lin Chen was responsible for controlling the Consciousness Imprisonment Cube. When the formations and rituals took effect, he would suppress the enemy’s resistance, assisting the rituals and formations in taking effect.

Wang Tianhua would then use poison to invade and harvest all One-Eyed Giants whose consciousnesses were imprisoned and who were in a dream-like state.

This way, everyone could wipe out this Spark Base without engaging in direct combat.

With the plan decided, everyone began to get down to business.

Shen Miaoyi’s ritual was the first to be completed. Lin Chen cooperated by using the Consciousness Imprisonment Cube, directly banishing the consciousnesses of the five Ninth Order Gods One-Eyed Giants, leaving only their physical bodies in the present world.

Zhao Zhi’s ritual was the second to be completed. Lin Chen continued to cooperate with the Consciousness Imprisonment Cube, directly hypnotizing all One-Eyed Giants within the Spark Base, causing them to enter a dream-like, intoxicated state.

Gu Jing’er’s formation was the last to be completed. As the formation activated, all valuable treasures within the Spark Base were captured by the formation and moved into a specific storage space.

Resources were acquired, and the enemies had no ability to resist.

Wang Tianhua carried out the follow-up cleanup. He condensed a wisp of poison and, with Linyang’s cooperation, picked off all One-Eyed Giants within the Spark Base.

Half an hour later, all One-Eyed Giants died in their sleep, their consciousnesses completely dissipated, leaving only their physical bodies in the present world, turning into living dead.

The Spark Base was thus annihilated by the human geniuses. Those One-Eyed Giants never discovered that danger had arrived until their deaths, not even seeing the faces of the human geniuses.

Next was the eagerly anticipated segment of sitting in rows and dividing the spoils.

Gu Jing’er placed the specially made storage space among everyone, and Lin Chen and the others could probe it with their mental power to check the harvested resources.

The resources from a small Spark Base were enormous. For an individual, it would seem like a lot, roughly equivalent to Lin Chen’s current net worth.

However, most of them were ordinary resources used for cultivating new generations, with only a few high-level resources, as a Spark Base’s purpose is survival.

Lin Chen wasn’t interested in the resources; he was very interested in the methods displayed by the few, especially Gu Jing’er’s displacement formation, which was simply overpowered.
