177: Bad luck consumes the clone, the five elements clone that causes great death

The matters concerning the Dust World Sect have come to a close.

Next, Faith Lin Chen will need many years to spread his teachings and establish the sect's power across the Ye Huo World and the Five-Colored Dragon World, two Great Chiliocosm Worlds.

Later, these two Great Worlds will even merge into one, upgrading to a Great Chiliocosm World of the Middle God level, capable of accommodating Middle Gods.

This process is destined to be lengthy.

Fortunately, Faith Lin Chen has no concept of lifespan; as long as he doesn't die, he can live for a very, very long time, with ample time to develop the Dust World Sect and grow.

During this process, Lin Chen's main body does not need to interfere too much; after all, proselytizing has a template, only requiring a repetitive process, developing step by step.

At the same time, God Lin Chen is dealing with the thirty Five-Colored Dragon Gods captured this time.

The Dao Oblivion Sprout, which absorbed the cultivation of the Red Dragon Lord, has now grown to half a meter in height; one more step and it will grow branches and leaves, advancing to a Dao Oblivion Sapling.

By merely absorbing the cultivation of one Five-Colored Dragon God, which is a god's mastery of rules, the Dao Oblivion Sprout advanced to a Dao Oblivion Sapling.

The Dao Fall Power contained within the Dao Oblivion Sapling is at the God Ascension Fourth Order in strength, and it will slowly increase over time; of course, it can also be crudely accelerated by feeding it resources containing rule power.

The cultivation of the Five-Colored Dragon Gods is precisely a good thing containing rule power, making it perfectly suitable for cultivating the Dao Oblivion Sapling.

The remaining twenty-nine Five-Colored Dragon Gods also did not escape their fate; their cultivation of countless years became the rapidly growing nourishment for the Dao Oblivion Sapling.

"Three meters tall now, God Ascension Eighth Order strength, and the quantity has reached the total divinity of a normal God Ascension Eighth Order; very good."

God Lin Chen inspected the Dao Oblivion Sapling hidden in the Void Annihilation Spear, determining its growth rate.

With the Void Annihilation Spear, a high-grade Foundation Level supreme treasure, the Dao Oblivion fluctuations emitted by the Dao Oblivion Sapling are perfectly concealed, so there's no worry of leakage, nor will it be discovered by any Foundation Level existence in This Universe unless encountered face-to-face.

Mirror Lin Chen put away the corpses of the thirty Five-Colored Dragon Gods; the Human Sovereign Banner floating beside him was truly somewhat overstuffed at this point.

Having not yet advanced to a divine artifact, it absorbed the souls of dozens of gods at once, making digestion extremely difficult; only after advancing to a divine artifact will it be able to digest divine souls more leisurely.

According to Mirror Lin Chen's estimation, in at most two years, the Human Sovereign Banner will be able to advance to a divine artifact, becoming his first self-cultivated and fully mastered divine artifact.

The Human Sovereign Banner is already in Mirror Lin Chen's hands, and its daily cultivation and nurturing are also completed by him; when the Human Sovereign Banner advances to a divine artifact, the feedback it brings will at least elevate his cultivation by three minor realms.

Currently, Mirror Lin Chen is only at the Mirror Dao God Ascension First Order cultivation; within the next two years, he estimates he can break through to the God Ascension Second Order, and after receiving the Human Sovereign Banner's feedback, his cultivation reaching the God Ascension Fifth Order will be no problem at all.

As it stands now, counting Lin Chen's main body plus his five clones, the main body's cultivation is the lowest, actually quite a bit behind.

The highest cultivation belongs to Aura, who is trapped in the Void Forbidden Zone, at God Ascension Seventh Order cultivation; then comes Essence Lin Chen, whose converted cultivation is close to God Ascension Fourth Order.

Following closely is God Lin Chen, at God Ascension Third Order cultivation; after that is Faith Lin Chen, at God Ascension Second Order cultivation; finally, Mirror Lin Chen is also close to God Ascension Second Order cultivation, with only the main body having just broken through to God Ascension First Order, thus having the lowest cultivation.

However, this has no impact; no matter how strong the clones are, they are still just clones, and everything they gain will feed back to the main body. The main body possesses all the abilities of the clones: Malice Incarnation, Void Incarnation, Dao Oblivion, Mirror Dao, and Faith Transformation—all five abilities are stacked upon him, making his combat power incomparably formidable.

A month later, God Lin Chen and Mirror Lin Chen returned to the Lin Chen Dao Domain. After they merged with the main body, all their gains were inherited by the main body, making the main body's strength even more unfathomable.

Because of the existence of the Void Annihilation Spear, God Lin Chen also doesn't need to suffer in the Void. He can stay in the Lin Chen Dao Domain and cultivate in seclusion, just like Mirror Lin Chen, not coming out until he breaks through to godhood.

"With two clones entering seclusion, not going out to roam, my accumulated bad luck cannot be consumed. If it piles up, I'm afraid it might hit me with a big one. I still need to regularly consume this bad luck."

Clones only need to go out and roam, then return to seclusion. As the main body, Lin Chen had more to consider.

In order to consume his accumulated bad luck, if Lin Chen's main body doesn't go out to roam and all his existing clones are tied up with matters, then he can only differentiate new clones to go out and consume the bad luck.

With Lin Chen's current soul strength, he can still differentiate five more clones, barely maintaining and controlling ten clones to act independently, so the soul pressure won't be too great, nor will it affect his own state.

Therefore, Lin Chen found five five elements materials of roughly Tenth Order quality from the Lin Chen Dao Domain's treasury. Based on these materials, he nurtured five Five Elements Clones with Tenth Order cultivation.

For the Five Elements Clones, Lin Chen's positioning for them was as bad luck consumption tools, meant to die. Each death would dissipate some bad luck.

So, when shaping the Five Elements Clones, there was no need to use overly precious materials. After all, if they died, they would need to be re-nurtured, which completely did not align with Lin Chen's expectations.

The benefits of the Five Elements Clones are truly numerous. Their connection to the main body is not high, so even if they die, it won't bring negative effects to the main body, unlike the Three Souls Clone, where each death would cause the main body to be weak for half a month and require some origin consumption to re-nurture.

Moreover, the threshold for nurturing Five Elements Clones is truly low; even First Order five elements materials can nurture Five Elements Clones, though the nurtured Five Elements Clones will only have First Order cultivation.

As long as there are sufficient five elements materials, there can be as many Five Elements Clones as needed. If one batch dies, there's no need to feel distressed.

But if you choose to cultivate Five Elements Clones, you'll find yourself raising five 'fathers.' These 'fathers' might indeed be strong and very comprehensive, but their lives are truly one-time; if they die once, all the resources used for their cultivation go down the drain.

Therefore, practitioners of the Five Elements Clone cultivation method are either top-tier existences who are rich and noble, with resources to cultivate Five Elements Clones, and can cultivate Five Elements Clones much stronger than themselves to serve as bodyguards, safeguarding their cultivation journey.

Or they are paupers who use Five Elements Clones as disposable puppet bombs, utilizing a large quantity of low-quality five elements materials to continuously nurture Five Elements Clones, following a 'horde' strategy, using sheer numbers to overwhelm enemies.

As for Lin Chen, he is wealthy, but based on his own situation, his application of the Five Elements Clones falls into the 'pauper' strategy: not cultivating them, but simply using them for consumption.

After all, he already has five clones; once the number of clones becomes too high, their effectiveness will be diluted. So, there's no need to cultivate Five Elements Clones that don't fit his system; just using them as disposable cannon fodder is sufficient.

The newly born Five Elements Clones were very dull, basically indistinguishable from puppets, requiring Lin Chen's consciousness to control them.

To use the Five Elements Clones as a vent for bad luck, a portion of the soul needed to be split and enter the Five Elements Clones to activate their clone characteristics.

As five portions of souls, corresponding to Tenth Order cultivation, entered the Five Elements Clones, the Five Elements Clones came alive. They were also Lin Chen, clearly understanding their coming fate, but they were indifferent, even somewhat eager.

Anyway, it's a rotten life, just go for it.

"Go wild. As wild as you can."

"After you've had your fun, you'll be a good fellow again."

The hidden characteristic of the Five Elements Clones is that each time they die, a new clone is nurtured, which is a new individual and does not inherit the memories or traumas of the previous individual.

Only the main body records these memories.

After the Five Elements Clones received their basic outgoing supplies, they cheerfully left the Lin Chen Dao Domain.

The so-called basic outgoing supplies included a single-soldier armory, a full-domain star map, a low-quality old dengs book (a pseudo-old dengs book, only for storage and contacting the main body), a small amount of energy crystals, a potion gift pack, etc.

The basic outgoing supply package basically covered all aspects of ordinary exploration, capable of handling over ninety percent of common events and environments. Of course, if they were unlucky enough to encounter the ten percent of situations they couldn't handle, that would actually be a good thing, as it would fulfill their mission of consuming bad luck.

Moreover, these supplies were not expensive; apart from the low-quality old dengs book, the combined value of the other supplies was only slightly more than a common demigod-tier material, making them completely consumable.

They all, without prior arrangement, chose a new way of travel: they had Lin Chen's main body open a random spatial rift in the starry sky outside the Lin Chen Dao Domain, leading to the outside of the Federation.

Since the goal was to consume bad luck, they naturally went about it in the most self-destructive way possible. The unknown is the most terrifying and unpredictable, and a single death in such circumstances would consume a more substantial amount of bad luck.
