54: Freshman Training Program and Three Treasures Clone

Lin Chen could temporarily enjoy some of the Sixth Academy’s profound resources.

Now, he needed to decide on his elective courses; besides his demanding major courses, he also had to learn a technical skill, such as array formations or alchemy.

Regarding technical skills, Lin Chen didn't hesitate and chose array formations.

Thus, his main departments were the Martial Arts Academy and the Nian Master Academy, while his Associate Faculty was the Array Formation Academy.

This meant he needed another Copy Body to balance the study progress of the three major departments, keep up with the intense first-year curriculum, and meet the Sixth Academy’s academic requirements.

The Sixth Academy had a very comprehensive cultivation process for first-year students.

The only difference between university and high school was the lack of holidays; especially for first-year students, they had to attend classes three hundred and sixty-five days a year, learning countless pieces of knowledge and gaining various permanent buffs.

It was truly a year of hardship to enjoy a lifetime of ease.

The starry sky held countless dangers, and even the Federal Human Race itself was one of them, but this did not prevent the Federal Human Race from developing various countermeasures against all kinds of dangers.

The path of students from the Supreme Academy was destined to be in the starry sky, beyond the universe, not in minor skirmishes within their own territory.

Therefore, to improve students' survival rates, the Sixth Academy needed to cultivate their ability to cope with threats from the cosmic starry sky, which led to the customary first-year cultivation plan.

First-year students needed to complete three main objectives and ten secondary objectives within one year.

The main objectives are as follows:

One, condense the Qi Luck Soul Garment and gain human luck recognition.

Two, establish a Cognitive Barrier and obtain the power of truth.

Three, wield the power of the Human Race and gain the authority of 'Heavenly Demon'.

The secondary objectives are as follows:

One, reach seventh-order cultivation.

Two, pass the Sixth Academy's combat power assessment.

Three, obtain the title of “Old Six”.

Four, master basic stellar knowledge.

Five, recognize the categories of myriad races.

Six, possess three means of substitution for death.

Seven, be able to directly face divine pressure.

Eight, master a technical skill.

Nine, become a carrier of one trillionth of the Human Race's knowledge.

Ten, bear the power of inheritance and transform into a spark of civilization.

When Lin Chen learned about the academic requirements he needed to complete in his first year through the Sixth Academy's intranet, he was somewhat dumbfounded.

This wasn't a first year; this was clearly aimed at cultivating sparks of civilization and all-rounder big shots.

As long as a first-year student of the Sixth Academy perfectly completed their first-year academic goals, they could be casually thrown into a strange universe without the Human Race and develop a branch of the Human Race with a divine-level upper limit.

The ninth and tenth secondary objectives included the knowledge of creating the Human Race, so transforming into a Human Race mother goddess was fully supported by practical concepts.

Not only was it conceptually supported, but in the Federal Human Race's thirty thousand years, there were indeed more than a dozen individuals from the Sixth Academy who accidentally drifted to other universes and developed a branch of the Human Race, which were then found by the Federal Human Race.

As for the Human Race branches that haven't been found, this is completely impossible to statistics. In the Federal Human Race’s thirty thousand years, every year there are individuals from the Supreme Academy who go missing; they cannot be said to be dead, and it is also possible that they have drifted to other regions.

These are all top-secret messages; every branch of the Human Race is a fallback for the Federal Human Race, a breathing space where the Federal Human Race can retreat when facing an extinction crisis.

In terms of being prepared for danger in times of peace, if the Federal Human Race said it was second, no one would dare say it was first.

“Transforming into a spark of the Human Race, with the opportunity to become the mother goddess of a Human Race branch—this is absolutely the pinnacle of self-realization, so cool.”

Lin Chen’s journey so far has been nothing more than seeking immortality. Now, on the basis of immortality, he has an added motivation: if one day he finds himself in an area far from the Federal Human Race, he will be the new Human Ancestor, the Human God.

“If I don’t study to death, I’ll study until I die! As someone from Huaxia, am I afraid of studying?!”

Lin Chen became inexplicably excited, full of passion, wishing he could transform into an ox and plow ten acres of land.

Copy Body: Calm down, we need to take things one step at a time. How about we first create a Copy Body to share our burden?

Lin Chen: “You’re right, we still need to create a Copy Body to share our burden. One isn’t enough; we need a few more.”

The Copy Body agreed with Lin Chen’s idea. Anyway, he, the main body, definitely wouldn't move, and the more Copy Bodys that were his equals, the more relaxed he would be.

The Sixth Academy’s enrollment resource subsidies were all the same: 1000 academic credits, a treasure to improve innate aptitude, and the exchange privilege for a Copy Body-type cultivation technique.

The resource subsidy had already arrived.

Arriving at the Sixth Academy’s intranet library, Lin Chen began to browse the Copy Body-type cultivation techniques collected by the Sixth Academy. The number of techniques was as numerous as ox hair, roughly divided into two categories.

The first category specialized in quality; Copy Bodys emphasized quality over quantity, such as Body Outside Body and One Qi Transforms into Three Purities. These cultivation techniques were extremely difficult to practice and had various conditions and restrictions on the practitioner.

The second category specialized in quantity; Copy Bodys emphasized quantity over quality, such as Myriad Transformations Body and Myriad Souls. These cultivation techniques were also very difficult to practice, generally required more resources, and the only advantage was that the cultivation difficulty was relatively low.

Were there any Copy Body cultivation techniques that emphasized both quality and quantity? Not yet. After all, the creation of cultivation techniques had to take into account realistic situations; you couldn't have your cake and eat it too.

For Lin Chen, the requirement for a Copy Body was simple: it just needed to be on par with the Copy Body. Therefore, he could only choose from the category that specialized in quality.

The Sixth Academy’s library was very intelligent and could recommend Copy Body cultivation techniques based on the student’s actual situation.

Moreover, many top-tier Copy Body cultivation techniques had lower-tier versions. One could first practice the lower-tier version, and then, once the conditions were met, evolve it into the higher-tier version, until it evolved into the original version.

Given Lin Chen’s current situation, he could at most practice the lower-tier version of a top-tier Copy Body cultivation technique.

The “Body Outside Body” series: the higher-tier version was Soul Spirit Derivation Body, and the lower-tier version was Primordial Spirit Body.

The “One Qi Transforms into Three Purities” series: the higher-tier version was Three Souls as One, and the lower-tier version was Essence, Qi, and San Bao Transformation.

...

The “Five Elements Divine Body” series: the higher-tier version was Five Elements Battle Body, and the lower-tier version was Five Elements Body.

Dozens of top-tier Copy Body cultivation techniques all had their corresponding higher and lower-tier versions, and Lin Chen met the cultivation conditions for most of the lower-tier versions.

Students who could enter the Supreme Academy all had some aptitude; they were qualified to practice the castration version of the lower-tier cultivation techniques.

After some selection, Lin Chen chose the “One Qi Transforms into Three Purities” series, which had a relatively larger number of Copy Bodys and better coordination among them.

As for why he didn't choose the “Five Elements Divine Body” series, which had even more Copy Bodys and better coordination, it was simply because the “Five Elements Divine Body” series was a rich man's cultivation technique; cultivating one Copy Body was equivalent to going through the cultivation path all over again, consuming too much.

The “One Qi Transforms into Three Purities” series did not have high resource requirements; it simply required the practitioner's Essence, Qi, and San Bao to be sufficiently balanced, thereby deriving Essence, Qi, and San Bao Copy Bodys of the same rank as the practitioner.

After choosing the cultivation technique, Lin Chen was not in a hurry to practice. Instead, he prepared to consume the treasure that improved innate aptitude, to add a bit of cultivation speed to practicing the Copy Body cultivation technique.

A craftsman must sharpen his tools if he is to do his work well.

The treasure subsidized by the Sixth Academy that could improve innate aptitude was called “Omnipotent Power.”

Omnipotent Power, a special resource of the Sixth Academy, had a usage limit of one dose, which could increase three points of overall innate aptitude, with an effect comparable to three doses of “Distress Breath.” It could be taken in conjunction with other treasures, and the effects would not conflict.

After using “Omnipotent Power,” Lin Chen felt very good. His overall coordination improved significantly, and his already nearly balanced Essence, Qi, and San Bao instantly reached a state of perfect balance.

And this state of balance was the optimal moment to practice “Essence, Qi, and San Bao Transformation.”

As if by divine decree, Lin Chen very smoothly separated his independent Essence, Qi, and San Bao. Three Copy Bodys, originating from the Essence, Qi, and San Bao, appeared in the cultivation room.

The three Copy Bodys were generally similar to Lin Chen, but specific differences could still be seen.

The Essence Clone looked more robust and powerful, carrying a bit of a brute's aura.

The Qi Clone looked somewhat profound, with energy flowing through its every movement, like a humanoid energy attractor.

The Gods Avatar looked somewhat ethereal and illusory; just standing there made people yearn for it, like an exiled immortal.

“Well, you three are even more handsome than me, the main body. You truly inherited all the advantages and none of the disadvantages.”

Sanbao Clone: Oh, wow, the main body is actually jealous of the Copy Bodys. How interesting.

Copy Body: Eating lemons, why am I not handsome? No, I need to set myself some special character traits, like being rebellious, like those existences such as the monkey and the three-eyed spirit pearl.

......

Lin Chen stared at the Copy Body, his meaning very clear.

Copy Body: I’m being obedient, please let me go. (Temporarily avoid the sharp edge)

“Do you want to have your own names, like Lin Yi or Lin Er?”

Copy Body: Reject.

Sanbao Clone: No.

Lin Chen was somewhat bad at naming, so this topic was naturally skipped. They were all Lin Chen, and externally they all claimed to be Lin Chen. Internally, everyone knew who was who, so there was no need to distinguish them by name.

With the successful practice of the Copy Body cultivation technique, Lin Chen artificially set a restriction for himself: in the future, he must maintain a balance of Essence, Qi, and San Bao to break through realms.

This process would continue until the demigod level, ending only when the Copy Body cultivation technique evolved into the higher-tier version, Three Souls as One.

However, Lin Chen also pursued a balance of Essence, Qi, and San Bao in his daily cultivation, with his martial arts and Nian Master realms progressing simultaneously, and his physical tempering not falling behind, so there was actually no impact.

On the contrary, with the Sanbao Clone, Lin Chen's main body's cultivation would only be smoother. The Essence, Qi, and San Bao could be transformed, which was also more conducive to Lin Chen breaking through realms.

No strengths and no weaknesses, perfectly in line with the Sixth Academy's philosophy: being all-rounded yet not mediocre.
