251: Local war between the Zerg and the Isaac Protoss

Mirror Lin Chen was not in a hurry to leave.

He intended to observe the war between the Zerg and the Yisha God Race in this area known as the Anto Star Region, to further understand their war patterns.

At the same time, he also wanted to see if he could extract benefits from it. Even if he couldn't, he could still stir up trouble, affecting the destinies of countless beings in a star region, further disturbing Causality and gaining more Causality feedback.

Anyway, this was the western part of the universe. No matter how Mirror Lin Chen caused trouble, its influence would be limited to the western part of the universe. With the Heavenly Abyss blocking it, it wouldn't affect the situation in the eastern part of the universe.

Fortunately, the Heavenly Abyss existed. Otherwise, given the nature of the Zerg and Mechanical Clan, they would inevitably bring the war to the eastern part of the universe, disrupting the war patterns there and further dragging the entire universe into a predatory war.

The Zerg and the Mechanical Clan, precisely because of their scorched-earth, assimilative expansion methods, were not favored by the all-encompassing universe consciousness. However, the two races had already become a part of the universe, so even if the universe consciousness disliked them, there was nothing it could do.

The two races also had a large number of Foundation Level entities. Even the universe consciousness couldn't easily do anything to them. It could only empower the Yisha God Race a little more, so that the Yisha God Race could eliminate the two races in the future and end this predatory expansion war model.

A pure Zerg universe, or a Mechanical Clan universe, has limited development potential and overly singular power, making it easy to be countered. Therefore, the universe hopes to develop in a more all-encompassing direction.

The scale of their war was limited to the Middle God level.

The Zerg dispatched a Middle God-level Broodmother, and the leader of the Yisha God Race's elite legion was also a Middle God-level, the purpose being to prevent the war's intensity from escalating further.

The Anto Star Region was just one of many star regions in the western part of the universe, not the main battlefield for the Zerg and the Yisha God Race, so maintaining it at the Middle God level was sufficient.

The core essence of this war was merely a resource-scramble between the Zerg and the Yisha God Race.

As for the native beings of the Anto Star Region, they were merely squares on a chessboard. The Zerg occupied one place today, the Yisha God Race occupied another tomorrow, and gradually, only the pieces of both sides remained on the chessboard.

Only two behemoths faced off until the chessboard was completely occupied by one side.

Mirror Lin Chen merely observed all of this with a cold eye.

He did not act rashly but instead constantly moved around the battlefield, gathering more information about both sides to facilitate his future troublemaking.

The Zerg army advanced continuously. Wherever it went, planets turned into Zerg nests, all resources within them were plundered, and unescaped beings were turned into biomass to supply the Zerg for breeding their army.

The Yisha God Race, who came as reinforcements, merely organized a coalition army to temporarily halt the advance of the Zerg army.

Then, in a scorched-earth manner, they continuously collected all resources from the star regions not yet occupied by the Zerg, centralized them, and utilized them.

Only a small portion of these resources was used by the Anto Coalition Army; more resources were transported back to the Yisha God Race's homeland, becoming the Yisha God Race's spoils.

Indeed, both sides continuously plundered local resources through this method.

The Zerg consumed resources on the spot, using them for their advance.

Only after occupying a territory would they send their gains back to the Zerg homeland, offering them to the core of the Zerg.

The Yisha God Race was a bit more troublesome; they still needed to organize forces to intercept the Zerg, and then use Yisha divine arts to scrape every last bit of resources.

Compared to the human race's external expansion wars, the war intensity here between the Zerg and the Yisha God Race was greater; it was truly a fight to the death, with ninety-nine percent of the beings in the war zone destined to perish.

A month later, Mirror Lin Chen found an opportunity, an opportunity that could cause both sides to prematurely erupt into a large-scale war, engulfing all beings in the entire star region.

“An Upper God opportunity, useless to me, but very useful for instigating conflict between the two sides. Of course, it ultimately cannot benefit the Zerg and the Yisha God Race.”

Indeed, Mirror Lin Chen found an opportunity that could allow a Middle God to break through to Upper God, and this opportunity inherently possessed a fervent war characteristic.

The strongest entities on both sides in the Anto Star Region were Middle Gods. They would surely be unwilling for this opportunity to fall into the hands of the other party, and before this opportunity even manifested, they would inevitably fight each other to the death.

The core unit of the Zerg is the Broodmother; only the Broodmothers are true Zerg. Other Zerg are guardians of the Broodmothers, providing power to sustain them, their lives and deaths entirely within the Broodmother's control.

God-rank Broodmothers are the backbone of the Zerg. They are relatively independent and not controlled by Foundation Level Broodmothers, only needing to obey the collective consciousness.

Therefore, Broodmothers are also equivalent to normal cultivators, needing to continuously acquire resources, break through ranks, become stronger existences, and gain more status.

The Middle Gods of the Yisha God Race, aside from their winged appearance, are no different from humans; they also pursue individual strength.

Now, a breakthrough opportunity is right before their eyes. They will certainly not miss it. Unwilling to miss it, they can only erupt into a larger war, with the opportunity as the focal point, and the war's intensity will continuously increase.

“Hehe, fight, fight!”

Mirror Lin Chen did not personally intervene. He merely manifested the complete Causality network of the Anto Star Region.

Through the power of the heavenly calculation compass, he continuously anchored the true Causality, dragging the entire Anto Star Region into the quagmire of war as the true Causality outcome. The source that triggered all of this was a breakthrough opportunity.

Mirror Lin Chen spent a month completing the Causality-level layout. Next, he would quietly wait for Causality to exert its influence, affecting the future of both sides and leading them towards the predetermined Causality outcome.

During this process, Mirror Lin Chen would no longer interfere; he would let destiny weave everything.

He only anchored the source and the outcome; he did not weave the intermediate process.

Because of this, destiny would inevitably seize every opportunity to act, weaving a destiny network similar to yet independent of the Causality network, following the origin and end of Causality.

Causality and destiny are, to some extent, the same, but destiny is more elusive, more abstract than Causality, more difficult to understand, and its way of exerting power is more secret and more pervasive.

Perhaps it was because Lin Chen had mastered the Karma Dao that he did not also master the Destiny Dao.

At the God rank, he had already mastered Causality, making it difficult to master Destiny, or even transcendent Daos like Time and Space. Lin Chen found it relatively difficult to master these, and could only slowly master them through the Myriad Laws Dao using his talents.

Getting back to the main topic, the Causality controlled by Mirror Lin Chen was taking effect.

“Broodmother, in frontline area 314, a God-rank fluctuation has manifested, judged to be a God-rank opportunity.”

“Send my child, Tia, to investigate.”

“Yes, Broodmother.”

Broodmother Solya was unconcerned by the God-rank fluctuation, merely dispatching her fifth child, the Lower God-level Broodmother Tia, to investigate.

At the same time, at the Yisha God Race Coalition Army headquarters, the Yisha God Race's Middle God Ador also paid little attention, but out of caution, sent a Lower God from his own race to check the situation.

And so, the Lower Gods from both sides met, and an inevitable battle erupted.

As divine power intertwined between the two combatants, a spatial fragment shattered, revealing an even more vast divine might.

This divine might attracted both warring parties, and vast divine light illuminated the surrounding cosmic space.

Before they could investigate clearly, the divine light swept over their bodies. They only felt their inner power surging and slightly increasing, giving rise to various insights.

At this moment, the battle between the two sides became even more desperate. Neither was willing to let the other leave alive; both wanted to monopolize the opportunity at this location.

However, both sides had limited strength, and neither could overcome the other, causing the situation to reach a stalemate.

A few more days passed, and both sides made their choices.

They had to seek help from the stronger entities behind them; they could not let this opportunity fall into enemy hands.

The subsequent development conformed to the Causality Mirror Lin Chen had set for them.

The divine light of opportunity affected all nearby beings, and even Middle Gods were no exception.

And beings close to the divine light would inevitably be provoked into fighting spirit, unconsciously wanting to battle. Only fervent battle could trigger more amplification from the divine light.

And so, Broodmother Solya and the Yisha God Race's Ador, two Middle Gods, along with numerous Lower Gods, erupted into the fiercest divine battle.

Only by annihilating the enemy could they exclusively enjoy the opportunity.

The Zerg army below the God rank and the Anto Coalition Army also engaged around this starfield, because as long as they fought and performed brilliantly enough, they would be noticed by the divine light and thus receive blessings.

For the sake of the opportunity, both sides truly fought each other to the death. Their minds were already gone when facing the opportunity; otherwise, why would they only fight and not explore the source of the divine light?

Countless beings perished every moment, their destinies changing, their future Causality sliding towards the predetermined outcome.

Mirror Lin Chen merely watched all of this, waiting for an opportune moment to take away the source, triggering an even larger war.
