312: The Enemy of the Tao and the Return

Lin Chen's true spirit had now returned to the body of Karma Lin Chen, and he merged Aura, who had successfully attained the Dao, back into his body, fully receiving Aura's power.

Inheriting the "Enemy of the Dao" status and being the controller of the Dao Fall Power, Lin Chen's connection with the entire Void Realm became even deeper.

As long as he existed, he would exert a continuous influence on this Void Realm. Countless worlds and living beings would change their trajectories and undergo unexpected transformations because of his existence.

Since Lin Chen also cultivated the Karma Dao, such a massive amount of Karma feedback emerged continuously, constantly transforming Karma Rules into Karma Concepts.

Now, he could transform 1 wisp of Karma Concept in a day, 365 wisps in a year, and 3650 wisps in ten years, greatly increasing his cultivation speed.

This transformation speed would also slowly increase over time, significantly shortening the time it would take for Lin Chen to step into the half-step transcendence level.

The most comfortable one was Aura, who primarily cultivated Dao Fall Power.

Now, Aura didn't need to cultivate intentionally at all. As long as he was alive, he would grow stronger. In just a few thousand years, he would be pushed by the Dao Fall Power to directly step into the half-step transcendence level.

As the bearer of the Enemy of the Dao status, his strength naturally couldn't be weak; otherwise, how could he carry this status?

Therefore, Dao Fall Power would push Aura to grow. By developing quietly, he would be the most Peak existence in the entire Void Realm when he finally emerged. Aside from the difficulty of achieving transcendence, there were no other drawbacks.

And transcendence was not something for Aura to worry about; having the Main Body and other Clones to worry about it was enough.

As long as he stayed alive and provided cultivation assistance to the Main Body, it was enough. After all, his existence generated continuous Karma feedback, accelerating the Main Body's cultivation.

Current Lin Chen was like a bug that used his left foot to step on his right foot to spiral upward.

The longer Aura lived, the faster the cultivation speed of Lin Chen's Main Body; the faster the Main Body cultivated, the better Aura could live, and the deeper the influence on the countless worlds and beings in the Void Realm.

"Don't go out and mess around in the future; I'm afraid you'll get beaten to death."

"As if I like messing around. We are all one person. If it weren't for cultivation, we'd wish we could stay in seclusion until the end of time and absolutely not emerge until we are invincible."

Aura was truly comfortable now and could completely lie flat. Enjoying his life of lying flat, he wouldn't go out and mess around.

Without any hesitation, he dove straight into Lin Chen's Karma Divine Kingdom. He wouldn't appear again until he reached the Peak, staying in the Karma Divine Kingdom as a stable cultivation accessory for the Main Body.

As the bearer of the Enemy of the Dao status, if Aura dared to appear before any being that did not cultivate Dao Fall Power, what would greet him was endless, frenzied pursuit.

Any being that saw Aura would go mad, taking the extermination of Aura as their personal responsibility.

Whether the being was a weak insect or a powerful half-step transcendence level, they would all be influenced by the Dao.

Just like when Aura first mastered the Dao Fall Power back then, Jiu Yue, who was by his side, was influenced by the Dao, giving birth to a killing intent. If Jiu Yue hadn't left early, there would have been no future.

Now, with the Enemy of the Dao status fully loaded, the upper limit of what the Dao could influence had expanded to the half-step transcendence level.

Beings below the Foundation Level would be directly influenced and controlled, becoming sworn enemies with Aura.

Those at the Foundation Level could only barely resist and retain some clarity. Even a Dao Lord like Lao Deng would be unable to restrain himself upon seeing Aura.

Only those at the half-step transcendence level could be exempt from this influence and would not be controlled by the Dao. They would only decide whether to hunt down the Enemy of the Dao based on their own needs.

Hidden within the Karma Divine Kingdom, Aura was relatively safe for now. Even if countless beings in the outside world wanted him dead, as long as they didn't see him, they wouldn't take any extreme actions.

With Lin Chen's Main Body as cover, Aura could also develop steadily. As long as he didn't court death by wandering in front of half-step transcendence level beings, there would be no problems.

Half a year later, Lin Chen had completely digested and absorbed the gains from the three instances of Attaining the Dao.

His cultivation and strength hadn't increased much, but he had cleared the path for his future cultivation. In the future, his cultivation would be smoother, and the use of various powers would be more seamless. One could say his upper limit had been expanded.

As the Netherworld Realm completely disappeared, the Near-Layer Void that existed near the Netherworld Realm was falling toward the Deep Layer Void.

In another few hundred or thousand years, this place would be no different from the Deep Layer Void, and no being would know that a Dao Rhyme Level world had once existed here.

The Void Realm was just this fickle.

It seemed nothing existed eternally.

Having achieved his goal for this trip, Lin Chen did not stay long and set off for home.

It only took eight years for Lin Chen to return to the Main Universe, two years faster than when he came, which showed that his strength had indeed improved.

The return journey was smooth sailing.

He didn't encounter a single Foundation Level creature, nor any Universe or world. It was quite peaceful, but the monotonous environment of the Void Realm made Lin Chen a bit bored.

Stepping into the Near-Layer Void where the Main Universe was located, Lin Chen was in a good mood, and his pace quickened.

Only nearly thirty years had passed in the Main Universe, and no unexpected changes had occurred; everything was as usual.

"Lao Deng, I'm back."

"It's good that you're back, but I have an instinctive feeling of disgust toward you. It seems my previous feeling was correct; the Enemy of the Dao has been born."

Lao Deng appeared, his expression changing frequently—one moment it was relief and surprise, the next it was disgust and disdain, and occasionally a hint of killing intent even flickered through.

It seemed Lin Chen had still underestimated the influence brought by the Enemy of the Dao status. Even though he had hidden Aura, he still couldn't completely isolate the leaking power.

This leaking power still influenced Lao Deng.

"If even a Dao Lord like you, Lao Deng, is like this, others who are not as strong as you will likely be influenced even more deeply. It seems I can't show my face recently, and I can't even see my family and friends."

"You should just stay in seclusion. If anything happens, I'll find your Clone directly. I don't have such a strong reaction when facing your Clone."

"Alright then, let's do that for now."

Lin Chen had no choice. With the Enemy of the Dao status upon him, he was essentially cut off from all living beings in heaven and earth. It was best for him to live alone and stay in seclusion until he grew stronger.

"This place isn't safe for you. You should go to the Qianyuan Universe to oversee things. You'll be responsible for the construction of the Cosmic Gate and, while you're at it, influence the Qianyuan Universe to weaken its power."

Lao Deng was right. The longer he stayed in the Main Universe, the more power from the Enemy of the Dao status would leak, and the greater the influence on the surroundings would be, which could eventually turn into a disaster.

So, rather than letting Lin Chen mess up the Main Universe, it was better to let him go and mess up other Universes, weakening their power to facilitate the subsequent invasion and control by the Human Race.

Thus, Lin Chen, who hadn't even been back for fifteen minutes, left behind the precious materials from the Foundation Level creatures he had killed and reluctantly departed. He entered the Deep Layer Void once again, following the guidance of the Karma mark straight toward the Qianyuan Universe.

Once Lin Chen left the Main Universe, Lao Deng was no longer influenced and returned to normal, communicating with Lin Chen through Essence Lin Chen.

With a Clone acting as a buffer, the communication between Lin Chen and Lao Deng became normal, and he also became clear about the Human Race's development plan for the Qianyuan Universe.

His going to the Qianyuan Universe, besides avoiding trouble, was more about taking on the task of suppressing the resistance forces of the Qianyuan Universe.

The Qianyuan Universe was very close to the Main Universe, making it very suitable as a supplement to the existing Human Race Territory, and even more suitable than the Dize Universe as a backup path for the Human Race.

The closer the two Universes were, the easier it was to build a Cosmic Gate, and the volume and speed of transmission through the cross-Universe channel would be faster.

According to the Research Institute's model predictions, once the Cosmic Gate connecting to the Qianyuan Universe was built, it would only take one day to travel from the Main Universe to the Qianyuan Universe, which was a very short time.

And being able to travel between the two Universes in just one day meant the transit time was even shorter than the time needed to go from the core of the Human Race Territory to the Human Race's borders.

Moreover, it wasn't like only one set of Cosmic Gates could be built; multiple sets could be constructed for multi-line operation and interaction.

Therefore, the Qianyuan Universe had to be taken.

If any accident occurred in the Main Universe, the Qianyuan Universe, reachable in just one day, would be the land of hope for the current population of over a quadrillion humans.

Its importance was far greater than other retreat paths.

Because of this, Lin Chen was very interested in conquering the Qianyuan Universe.

Occupying a Universe, expanding the Human Race's living area, and increasing the Human Race's survival probability—Lin Chen felt it was his duty.
