151: Chapter 151 Tang Yingxue's Room Card

Backstage lounge.

The door was pushed open, and Shen Nian walked in holding the golden trophy.

Zhou Yutong bounced up from the sofa, rushed over in two steps, grabbed her arm, and hopped on the spot. "Sister Nian! Champion! It's really the championship! As promised, a seafood feast, I want to eat Boston lobster!"

Shen Nian was shaken backward by her, her gaze passing over Zhou Yutong's shoulder to land on Jiang Fan, who was sitting by the window.

Jiang Fan stood up and paced over.

Zhou Yutong caught sight of the boss coming over out of the corner of her eye, and tactfully let go of her arm, stepping back two paces.

"Here." Shen Nian offered the trophy forward.

Jiang Fan didn't take it, raising a hand to ruffle her hair. "You won it yourself, so keep it."

Shen Nian held the trophy back in her arms, her eyes shining.

As Jiang Fan looked at her, the system suddenly chimed.

"Ding—"

[Target: Shen Nian]

[Height: 165cm]

[Weight: 50kg♦]

[Appearance: 9♦]

[Crowned the overall champion of "The Sound of Nature", influence significantly increased.]

[Compatibility raised to SS-tier.]

Jiang Fan was stunned for a moment, silently closing the panel in his mind.

He hadn't expected the compatibility to actually increase further.

SS-tier meant that with every deep interaction in the future, the Lifespan Value obtained would increase by a significant margin.

Shen Nian's legendary performance tonight brought not only the championship trophy and traffic data, but also a leap in her own value.

This wave was truly a massive profit.

Just then, footsteps came from outside the door.

A knock sounded on the lounge door, and Zhou Yutong stepped forward to open it.

Chen Hao stopped at the doorway with his manager.

He had already changed out of his dark blue suit from the stage and slipped into a plain black T-shirt, looking much more relaxed.

"Shen Nian," Chen Hao didn't enter, standing just outside the threshold. "Congratulations."

Shen Nian turned around and nodded. "Thank you."

Chen Hao's gaze shifted over to Jiang Fan's face. "Teacher Jiang, your song 'left hand points to the moon' really leaves no way out for your peers. A three-octave vocal range—I have absolutely no complaints about losing tonight."

"Your high notes were very stable too. Those national team teachers weren't hired in vain," Jiang Fan replied politely.

Chen Hao gave a bitter smile and shook his head. "Stable, yes, but it lacked a bit of soul. Your Arrangement and Shen Nian's voice complement each other perfectly, whereas I was merely pushing to the absolute limit of my abilities. The levels are different."

He paused. "If there's a chance next time, I'd love to sing a song written by Teacher Jiang. The price is highly negotiable."

"Sure, we'll see about the schedule," Jiang Fan said, keeping his options open.

Chen Hao was a straightforward man who could take things in stride. He nodded in greeting and left with his manager.

Before leaving, the manager didn't forget to take a couple more glances at Jiang Fan—probably re-evaluating the weight of this young producer in his mind.

In tonight's duel, Chen Hao didn't lose unjustly.

Jiang Fan's name would probably be placed on the first page of the address books of every major talent agency.

Jiang Fan picked up his coat draped over the back of the chair. "Pack up, let's head out."

The three of them walked out along the staff corridor.

Just as they turned the corner of the Studio's back door, they ran straight into someone.

Tang Yingxue.

She didn't have an assistant with her, leaning alone against the doorframe of her lounge, phone in hand.

Hearing them, she looked up.

The corridor fell silent for a second.

Shen Nian and Zhou Yutong instinctively slowed their pace, and Shen Nian's fingers tightened slightly around the trophy.

Tang Yingxue straightened up, her gaze passing over Shen Nian to land squarely on Jiang Fan's face.

"Teacher Jiang, can we have a word in private?"

Jiang Fan stopped his steps and glanced sideways at Shen Nian. "You guys go wait for me in the car first."

Shen Nian looked at Tang Yingxue, then at Jiang Fan.

Without asking further, she walked ahead with Zhou Yutong, holding the trophy.

Only the two of them were left in the corridor.

Tang Yingxue pushed open the door to the lounge behind her.

Today she wore a black evening gown with an extremely narrow waistline, exposing a large expanse of skin below her collarbone.

"Come in and talk."

Jiang Fan walked in and sat down on the sofa.

Tang Yingxue didn't sit, standing across the coffee table with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Jiang Fan. I'm a direct person, I don't beat around the bush."

"Go ahead."

"I'm preparing a new album next month, and I'm missing a lead single." Tang Yingxue stared at him. "What will it take for you to write a song for me?"

Jiang Fan looked at her. Tang Yingxue's demand was very clear and direct.

The system panel emerged at the edge of his vision.

[Target: Tang Yingxue]

[Appearance: 9.2]

[Compatibility: SS+]

A tier higher than both Xu Qingya and Shen Nian.

For a target of this level, once a deep relationship was established, he wondered how much Lifespan Value the system would grant.

Jiang Fan closed the panel.

"I've been quite busy lately," he said in a calm tone. "We'll talk when I have time."

Tang Yingxue was stunned for a moment.

She probably hadn't expected to be rejected so cleanly, and with such a perfunctory excuse.

"Jiang Fan." She took another half-step forward, less than a meter away.

Her perfume wafted over, a woody scent with a trace of crisp cedar.

"Whatever Xu Qingya can give you, I can give you too," Tang Yingxue said, keeping her voice very low so only the two of them could hear.

"And the resources I can offer are far more than hers. I still have some sway over at Universal. As long as you nod, you can pick any S-class promotional resources you want, and top-tier variety show appearances will be endless. You write the songs, I sing them—it's a win-win for us."

Jiang Fan leaned back against the sofa, his fingers resting on the armrest without moving.

This woman was very smart, and she knew exactly where her advantages lay.

The conditions she offered were highly enticing—almost the absolute ceiling of what a rookie producer could dream of.

But she had gotten one thing wrong.

Jiang Fan didn't lack resources; what he lacked was lifespan.

"Teacher Tang," Jiang Fan looked at her, his lips twitching slightly. "Are you sure you can do whatever Xu Qingya does?"

This question was very subtle.

Aside from the obvious resources and connections, what else could Xu Qingya give Jiang Fan?

Tang Yingxue stared at Jiang Fan, sizing him up for a couple of seconds.

She wasn't sure if Xu Qingya and he actually had that kind of relationship, but she wasn't someone who would waste time hesitating.

"I can."

She took a step back, drew a room card from her clutch, and held it out in front of Jiang Fan.

"InterContinental Hotel, presidential suite. This is my room card."

The black card surface with the gold-embossed hotel logo glinted under the lights.

"Once you've figured it out, come find me directly."

Jiang Fan looked down at the room card, then looked up at her.

Tang Yingxue's expression was very calm, but the hand holding out the room card was trembling slightly.

"As for the album's lead single, we can take our time discussing it." She offered the room card a bit further forward, her fingertips brushing against the back of Jiang Fan's hand.

Jiang Fan reached out and took the room card.

Tang Yingxue withdrew her hand and said nothing more, turning to leave as the sound of her high heels gradually faded.

Jiang Fan stood in place, flipping the thin room card over.

An SS+ tier target, actively handing over the key to her door.

It seemed she really couldn't sit still anymore.

Shen Nian winning the championship tonight was equivalent to announcing to the entire industry: the things Jiang Fan held in his hands were far more valuable than anyone had imagined.

Tang Yingxue didn't want to miss this train.

But Jiang Fan was in no hurry.

He stuffed the room card into his pants pocket, turned, and walked toward the exit of the staff corridor.
