227: Chapter 227 Tang Sanzang Inspects the Jade Rabbit Spirit Late at Night

Director Yang Shuhua was very satisfied with Jiang Fan's attitude.

Not every actor was willing to shave their head for a role.

These days, male artists valued their hair more than their lives; just styling it took two hours of fussing.

She stood up, folded the actor list in her hand, and tucked it into her script.

"President Su, I will be holding auditions here one by one at nine o'clock the day after tomorrow."

Su Yuyan set down her teacup. "No problem."

"Hou Jinlai, that Monkey King, and those actresses, one by one. If they don't pass, I'll eliminate them on the spot."

Director Yang Shuhua stuffed her reading glasses into her chest pocket. "If they can't act, it doesn't matter who they are—I won't let them pass."

Su Yuyan stood up to see her out.

Director Yang Shuhua walked to the door and glanced back at Jiang Fan.

"That scene of yours really had substance. But don't get cocky; when we start filming officially, I won't spare you any scolding just because you're the investor."

The door closed, leaving only the two of them in the audition room.

Su Yuyan walked back and leaned against the edge of the table, looking at Jiang Fan.

"Where did you learn to act?"

"I've never learned acting; it's all natural talent."

Jiang Fan stood up and ran his fingers through his hair.

"Go find a makeup artist."

Su Yuyan was stunned for a moment. "What for?"

"To shave my head."

"Shave it now?"

"It has to be shaved sooner or later, why drag it out?"

Su Yuyan looked at his black hair, hesitated for two seconds, and then took out her phone to dial an internal extension.

Ten minutes later, Times Media's chief makeup artist, Xiao Zhou, pushed his toolbox in.

Xiao Zhou was in his early thirties and had been styling artists for years, but he accepted this job with some trepidation.

"President... President Jiang, are we really shaving it?"

"Shave it."

Xiao Zhou glanced at Su Yuyan, and Su Yuyan nodded.

The electric clippers were plugged in and began to hum.

The first pass went straight down the center of his forehead, and black hair clippings fell onto the white cape.

Jiang Fan sat in the chair, motionless.

Xiao Zhou's hands were steady, but his heart was bleeding.

With this hair quality and density, he could easily sign an endorsement deal with any shampoo brand, yet he was shaving it off just like that.

Ten minutes later, Xiao Zhou turned off the clippers and took a step back.

"All done."

In the mirror, Jiang Fan's head was clean and smooth.

His head shape was perfect, and without his hair to frame his face, his features stood out even more.

Xiao Zhou watched from the side, thinking, 'Is it reasonable for someone to look even better after shaving their head?'

"Alright, you can go." Su Yuyan waved her hand at Xiao Zhou.

Xiao Zhou felt relieved, packed up his toolbox, and pushed it out.

The audition room quieted down.

Su Yuyan walked up to Jiang Fan and looked down at him.

She reached out, placed her palm on top of Jiang Fan's head, and slowly rubbed it in a circle.

It felt pretty good.

Su Yuyan rubbed it again. "It's actually quite fun."

Jiang Fan looked up at her. "Have you touched enough?"

"Let me touch it one more time."

Su Yuyan used both hands, rubbing left and right, really getting into it.

Jiang Fan grabbed her wrist.

Su Yuyan was forced to stop, looking down into Jiang Fan's eyes.

Jiang Fan sat in the chair, looking up at her with his bald head, the aggression in his eyes completely undisguised.

Su Yuyan panicked instantly.

"Don't—we're still at the company."

Jiang Fan stood up, wrapped one arm around her waist, and backed her up a few steps.

Su Yuyan's back hit the floor-to-ceiling mirrors.

Jiang Fan placed both hands on the mirror surface on either side of her, trapping her firmly.

Su Yuyan's back was pressed against the mirror as she looked up at him.

Jiang Fan with a shaved head felt completely different; without that black hair, he exuded a sense of unbridled toughness.

"Did you have fun touching it just now?"

"No, it was just a bit novel—"

Jiang Fan unbuttoned her coat.

The coat opened, revealing the white shirt and black skirt underneath.

"Turn around."

Su Yuyan looked at him for two seconds. She obediently turned around to face the mirror.

The mirror reflected the two of them; Su Yuyan stood in front, and Jiang Fan stood behind her, a head taller.

Jiang Fan slid her coat off her shoulders and tossed it onto the floor.

His hands reached around from behind and began unbuttoning Su Yuyan's shirt.

Su Yuyan watched in the mirror as her buttons were undone one by one.

The white fabric parted, revealing the black lace underneath.

She pressed her hands against the mirror surface; it felt somewhat cold.

Su Yuyan saw her face starting to turn red in the reflection.

She wanted to turn her head away, but the entire wall was a mirror; there was nowhere to hide.

"Jiang Fan... can we go somewhere else..."

Jiang Fan didn't speak. His hands slid down her waistline and pushed her short skirt up.

Su Yuyan could see everything clearly in the mirror.

From the open neckline of her shirt to the pushed-up skirt hem, and down to her legs wrapped in long boots.

"Stand steady." Jiang Fan slowly pressed against her from behind.

Su Yuyan's fingers, which were pressed against the mirror, tightened suddenly, leaving a patch of fog on the glass.

Forty minutes later.

Su Yuyan lay limp on the wooden floor in front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror.

Her coat was spread out beneath her, her shirt hung halfway off her shoulders, and her skirt was crumpled in a heap at her waist.

She had kept those long boots on the whole time.

The system panel popped up.

[Deep Compatibility ×1, Lifespan Value +1000]

[Current Lifespan Value: 104,800 points]

Jiang Fan closed the panel.

Su Yuyan struggled to stand up, stumbling two steps in her long boots before finding her balance.

She bent down to pick up the coat from the floor, shook it off, and put it back on.

She walked to the mirror and straightened her clothes one by one.

Most of her lipstick had been rubbed off, so she took out a lip balm from her pocket and touched it up.

Jiang Fan had already put his clothes back on and was sitting at the table scrolling through his phone.

His bald head shone with a faint bluish tint under the warm lights, truly looking like a high monk who had just returned to secular life from a temple.

"I still need to go notify the actors about the auditions the day after tomorrow, so I won't keep you."

Su Yuyan adjusted her collar, regaining her demeanor as a female CEO.

Nine o'clock at night.

Jiang Fan arrived at Shen Nian's apartment.

Shen Nian had no commitments today and was at home practicing the Jade Rabbit Spirit's dance.

Jiang Fan opened the keypad lock, changed into slippers, and walked over.

In front of the floor-to-ceiling mirror in the living room, Shen Nian was wearing a yellow, exotic-style dance outfit, revealing her waist, barefoot on the wooden floor, twisting in front of the mirror.

Hearing footsteps, Shen Nian stopped and turned her head.

Seeing a bald man standing at the door, she jumped back in fright.

She looked closer.

"Jiang Fan?!" Shen Nian walked over, her gaze fixed entirely on his head.

"Why did you do this to yourself?"

She reached out and touched the top of Jiang Fan's head; it was a bit prickly.

"Experiencing life." Jiang Fan let her touch it.

Shen Nian circled around him.

"Your look... it's a bit strange, but after looking at it for a while, it's actually quite pleasing."

She held his face to examine him for two seconds before letting go.

Jiang Fan's gaze fell on her waist. The yellow dance outfit had very little fabric, adorned with gold sequins.

The patch of her waist and abdomen was exposed, stark white.

"How is the dance practice going?"

"The teacher said my basic skills are good, and I've memorized all the moves."

Shen Nian spun around on the spot, her skirt flaring out, the gold sequins flashing under the lights.

Jiang Fan walked into the living room and sat on the sofa.

"Let me check."

Shen Nian tilted her head and looked at him.

"You're not a dance teacher; what are you checking?"

"Director Yang is going to hold auditions one by one the day after tomorrow. Your dance is the core of the role; if you don't pass, you'll be eliminated on the spot."

Hearing the word "eliminated," Shen Nian's expression immediately became serious.

"Alright, then I'll dance for you to watch."
