Haunted house.
The sight of those bright red characters instantly turned Lin Yuan and the others pale.
Even with the lights on in the room, they felt a chilling fear.
Director Yu curiously walked to the wall, wiped it with his hand, and sniffed it, then couldn’t help but laugh: “Don’t be scared, this is paint.”
Hearing this, the Photographer immediately felt much calmer.
But even knowing it was paint, seeing it still gave him goosebumps all over.
The first floor was very large, but there wasn’t much to see; most of the furniture in the room was damaged, so the group decided to go upstairs and look around.
Walking up the stairs, their footsteps made creaking sounds.
The staircase was a spiral wooden one.
Having been unmaintained for a long time, walking on it always felt like the wooden planks could break at any moment.
Reaching the second floor, under the illumination of their phone flashlights, an even more dilapidated scene greeted their eyes.
The originally white walls were now covered in dust and cobwebs, and in some places, the plaster had even peeled off, revealing the bricks underneath.
The glass in the windows was long broken, leaving only empty frames swaying precariously in the wind.
The dust on the ground was deeper than on the first floor, and a large number of footprints were also visible.
Lin Yuan fumbled along the wall and found the room light switch.
Click~~
The ceiling flickered, making the room alternately bright and dark for a few seconds.
Sizzle~~
The light completely broke down, seemingly having been out of repair for a long time.
With no other option, the group had to rely on the light from their phones to grope their way forward.
There were more rooms on the second floor, including several bedrooms, but each room was in a mess, with incomplete furniture and various debris scattered on the floor.
Clearly, no one had lived here for a very long time.
After exploring the second floor, the three continued upwards; the third floor, the fourth floor… each level presented the same scene of decay.
If it weren't for the three of them together, and it was just one person, they wouldn't dare stay in this place for long; it was too eerie and terrifying.
After seeing the fourth floor, Director Yu smiled contentedly: “Not bad, not bad, this house is very suitable, no need for renovation, we can directly use it for filming.”
“We’ll just renovate the first floor and clean up the fourth floor, and it will be complete.”
Hearing this, Lin Yuan’s heart filled with joy, and he quickly echoed: “This house naturally has a terrifying atmosphere, it’s indeed very suitable.”
Only the Photographer had a worried expression, pouting and quietly suggesting: “Brother, can we go down now that we’ve seen everything? This place is a bit spooky, don’t forget there are over a dozen soul rings here.”
However, no sooner had he finished speaking.
Suddenly!
A series of thudding footsteps echoed from downstairs.
It sounded as if someone was climbing the stairs.
Immediately after, the lights on the second, third, and fourth floors all suddenly lit up, then flickered on and off, constantly flashing and emitting sizzling electrical sounds.
Lin Yuan was dumbfounded, Director Yu was scared stiff, and the Photographer was trembling all over, screaming in terror: “Brother… there’s a ghost, there’s a ghost!!! Run!”
The netizens in the live stream were also stunned by this scene.
Too terrifying!
Lin Yuan was in no better state at the moment; his face was tense as he listened carefully to the footsteps on the stairs, but he couldn’t see any movement.
After more than ten seconds, *snap*~ the lights suddenly went out again, and the footsteps also stopped.
It was as if what had just happened was merely their hallucination.
But they knew it wasn’t an illusion.
After composing himself, Lin Yuan tightly gripped his phone, as if only the light in his hand could make him feel safe; he shone it towards the stairs and found nothing unusual.
Taking a deep breath, he tried to make his voice sound calm: “Don’t panic, let’s go downstairs and see.”
The Photographer and Director Yu both nodded with tense expressions.
The three huddled together, cautiously descending the stairs, each step taken with extreme care.
With each step down, the wooden planks would creak louder, as if telling them that something was approaching.
Time passed incredibly slowly; the four flights of stairs felt like a lifetime.
But thankfully, they didn’t encounter any other paranormal events until they reached the first floor.
However, the lights on the first floor had gone out at some unknown point.
A cold wind blew through, and in the center of the first-floor hall, the old chandelier began to sway, emitting a harsh creaking sound.
Then, the most terrifying scene appeared!!!
The Photographer’s eyes widened, and he pointed at the window outside with a trembling, terrified face, shouting in a horrified scream: “Brother… look outside the window… what is that!!!”
No sooner had he spoken than Lin Yuan abruptly turned his head and looked in the direction he was pointing.
It wasn’t a big deal not looking, but when he did, he nearly wet his pants in fear.
Outside the window, a figure stood, just quietly looking at him.
Lin Yuan, quick-witted, immediately shone his phone light over.
However, the next second, he saw nothing by the window; there was nobody there at all.
Such a bizarre scene completely terrified the group.
Even Director Yu’s calves were trembling in fear, and he stammered: “Lin… Lin Yuan, let’s… let’s go, we can come back tomorrow during the day! This place… is too spooky.”
Lin Yuan also felt an unprecedented fear; he frowned deeply and nodded: “Okay, let’s leave first.”
He didn’t want to stay in this ghostly place for another second.
No wonder the house couldn’t be sold; it was too damn scary.
After leaving the house, the group quickly walked away across the dry leaves in the yard.
Perhaps due to the significant fright, the Photographer lost his footing.
Ouch~~
He suddenly fell to the ground.
Lin Yuan quickly helped him up, and the Photographer gave an embarrassed smile, patting the leaves off his body: “Sorry, I was scared silly.”
Director Yu beside them unexpectedly let out a surprised sound: “Eh~~ What’s this?”
Then, Director Yu was seen picking up something from the ground that resembled a fruit, with bite marks on it.
Lin Yuan leaned over to look: “This looks like… a peach?”
The Photographer also nodded in agreement: “It looks like it, just a bit small. This should be what animals eat, right? Are there monkeys on this mountain?”
“Doesn’t seem like it!” Lin Yuan frowned and shook his head, then rummaged through the leaves a few more times, exclaiming on the spot: “Look, there are many peach pits too, it shouldn’t be animals eating them, they have no reason to throw the pits here, do they?”
“Not animals?” Hearing this, the Photographer involuntarily shivered, something came to his mind, and he quietly asked: “Could it be ghosts?? Oh my god~~”
His ghostly cry made Lin Yuan and Director Yu’s pores prickle with fear.
They hurriedly walked outside, leaving the yard.
However, the moment they got into the car, ready to leave.
Lin Yuan suddenly spoke: “Director Yu… do you believe in ghosts?”
Hearing this inexplicable question, Director Yu looked bewildered and replied uncertainly: “I make horror films, so I definitely don’t believe in ghosts. If they really existed, how would I dare to film?”
Lin Yuan nodded upon hearing this and continued: “Don’t you think the situation we encountered in the house just now was very strange? If there are no ghosts, then what exactly caused those movements earlier?”
