After a bumpy road, it's finally time for the book to go premium.

This is the first book the author has written on Qidian.

To describe it in four words: treading on thin ice.

I believe many people can tell that the storylines in this book are based on real-life news events.

For example, the incident where a deaf-mute person was extorted, and the plot points about people not knowing what they are doing, all have real-life prototypes.

Later elements, such as pyramid schemes, debt carriers, concrete swapped for cremated remains, and funeral homes selling body parts, are all drawn from reality.

After all, art comes from life. The author merely trimmed and edited them, piecing them together into a story, blending in some tropes, and writing them for everyone's enjoyment.

If the writing seems stiff, awkward, or has flaws, I can only hope for your patience and understanding.

It's been just over a year since the author started writing, so I am still considered a novice.

Last year, I had good luck, with royalties from three books on other platforms exceeding one million [RMB]. They were all of this same genre.

However, writing this type of story on Qidian seems to be struggling to find its footing.
