138: Chapter 138 Dragon's Den and Tiger's Lair

Bai Yu's breathing seemed to quicken for a moment. She turned her head abruptly to face Qi Yun, her tone laced with a hint of urgency and resistance:

"We can keep looking for an exit! There's a door over there!"

She suddenly pointed to the wall on the other side of the room. There, in a spot that had been completely empty before, a door had appeared silently, without anyone noticing!

As she spoke, Bai Yu started to get up, attempting to break free from Qi Yun's grasp and walk toward that door.

Qi Yun sneered inwardly.

This door had certainly appeared at a convenient time.

It seemed this imposter was likely the same person who had impersonated Shu Qianxue back then, and was now disguised as Bai Yu.

And that blue-skinned woman was her true form, as well as one of her clones.

She had intentionally let herself be killed to make him lower his guard.

Qi Yun exerted force, not only refusing to let go but instead pulling Lan Shuang so hard she stumbled and fell directly into his arms!

"Don't be in such a rush. The door isn't going anywhere. Let's finish our business first."

Qi Yun wrapped his arms around her slender but somewhat rigid waist, holding her firmly in his embrace, his voice filled with a smile.

Lan Shuang, disguised as Bai Yu, was on the verge of a mental breakdown!

She had impersonated many people and deceived quite a few survivors.

But this was the first time she had ever encountered a lower life form like Qi Yun, who, in such a bizarre, dangerous, and clearly trapped environment, had nothing on his mind but that sort of thing!

"Are you a creature that thinks entirely with its lower half?!" she roared frantically in her mind. "Is there nothing in your brain besides that kind of business?!"

But she couldn't resist, at least not now.

She could feel that Qi Yun's strength was far superior to her own! The strike that had instantly killed her clone earlier was so fast she hadn't even seen it clearly! If she tore off the mask now, she would surely die!

Her own strength wouldn't have been fully restored for another fifteen days.

Yet, that group of useless teachers hadn't even managed to hold out for two days.

She had no choice but to suppress the churning nausea and killing intent in her heart, struggling to maintain her Bai Yu persona. She squirmed slightly in Qi Yun's arms, putting on a cold, even slightly disgusted expression:

"Qi Yun, please let me go. Don't do things that will make me hate you."

She hoped to use the attitude Bai Yu would likely have to stop Qi Yun.

Qi Yun, however, acted as if he had heard an amusing joke and chuckled lowly.

"Hate me? You're quite the joker. When we were 'experimenting' earlier, weren't you quite cooperative?"

Qi Yun's hands began to wander inappropriately over her back, his tone flippant.

Qi Yun acted as though he took Lan Shuang's warning as some form of coy flirtation.

Lan Shuang felt her body uncontrollably begin to tremble slightly.

"This lower life form! How dare he touch me! With his filthy hands!"

She cursed Qi Yun's family endlessly in her mind, but on her face, she had to force herself to maintain a calm expression, even relaxing her body slightly to cooperate, so as not to show excessive resistance and arouse suspicion.

"Start taking off your armor."

As he said this, Qi Yun's hands began to remove the armor from Lan Shuang.

Lan Shuang was losing her mind.

"Should I fight him to the death?! Reveal myself now and fight him?!" This thought flashed frantically through her mind.

But reason suppressed this urge with all its might.

"No! Fighting now means zero chance of winning! I must stabilize him first, lead him into my trap, and kill him without fail!"

"Survive! Just survive first! As long as I can achieve my goal, I can endure for now."

Qi Yun could clearly feel the stiffness and trembling of the "body" in his arms, and he could also sense the humiliation, anger, and killing intent she was barely able to hide.

He found it extremely amusing.

This imposter clearly hated him to death and was terrified of him, yet she still had to force a smile and cooperate with him.

This feeling of holding danger in the palm of his hand and watching the other party struggle on the edge of a cliff was somewhat fun.

"Stand up," Qi Yun said, releasing his hand from her waist while pointing at the smooth, cold rock wall nearby.

"Put your hands on the wall."

Lan Shuang's body jolted violently, her brain buzzing as if it were about to explode!

"What does he want to do?! Here?! In this position?!"

Endless humiliation and rage instantly shattered her psychological defenses!

Tears welled up uncontrollably, swirling in her eyes.

She bit her lower lip hard to keep the scream and curse from escaping her lips.

"Endure! I must endure!" Her entire body's blood was screaming for resistance, but her thread of reason was stretched to the limit.

"For the sake of survival! For revenge!"

She stood up, trembling, and then, as if walking to her death, slowly pressed both hands against the cold rock wall.

Qi Yun watched her back, secretly surprised himself.

"You can actually endure this, you motherfucker?!"

He had originally thought that by reaching this point, the imposter would have exposed herself or turned hostile no matter what.

He hadn't expected her to actually do it! Even though she was on the verge of tears,

she was actually trying her best to maintain the disguise without resisting!

"This monster could accomplish great things!"

He stepped forward and pressed up against her from behind.

Lan Shuang's body instantly tightened to the limit, every inch of her skin screaming in desperate resistance!

She could clearly feel the friction coming from behind her.

Humiliation, disgust, fear, and killing intent—all sorts of emotions churned in her chest!

Tears finally spilled over, rolling down in large drops, unable to be controlled any longer.

"Survive... Just survive first."

"I will make him pay it back a hundredfold... a hundredfold, and make him wish he were dead!!!"

Just then, she heard Qi Yun behind her ask in a tone tinged with a hint of confusion:

"Bai Yu, why are you crying?"

His voice was right by her ear, his warm breath brushing against her sensitive earlobe, but it only sent a bone-chilling shiver down her spine.

Lan Shuang took a sharp breath, forcibly suppressing the choking sobs in her throat.

She used all her strength to make her voice sound calm,

"It's nothing, just... thinking of something happy."

She paused, as if using up a lifetime of acting skills, and added a line that made even her want to vomit:

"Hurry up, let's go explore that room afterward."

After speaking, she tightly closed her eyes, sealing all her emotions deep within her heart. Only her body, still uncontrollably trembling slightly, and the tears sliding silently down her face betrayed the hellish torment within.

Qi Yun looked at the trembling, tearful back before him, which was still forcing itself to maintain the disguise and cooperate.

"Not simple, indeed."

"Able to endure what ordinary people cannot, and so ruthless even to herself... She would rather be thoroughly 'explored' by a lower life form she looks down upon than expose herself."

"She counts as a ruthless person—no, a ruthless monster."

Behind that suddenly appearing door, what awaited him might just be a dragon's pool and a tiger's den.

A cold curve tugged at the corner of Qi Yun's mouth.

He, Qi Yun, loved nothing more than braving dragon's pools and tiger's dens.

"Then I'm going in."

Qi Yun's perverse voice rang out.

"Come on."

Lan Shuang bit her tongue hard, frantically telling herself, "I feel nothing. All of this is to survive. It's all worth it."
