50: Chapter 50 So Weak

Qi Yun stretched his somewhat sore waist and walked out of the wooden cabin, just as he took a breath of fresh air.

A figure walked straight toward him.

It was Sophia.

"Qi Yun, there are now recruitment slots for the Tribe."

Her voice was clear, without hesitation.

"I would like to request that you formally accept me, Anna, and Katya as members of the 01 Tribe."

Qi Yun stopped in his tracks and looked at her.

He remembered the final moments of yesterday's zombie tide, how this girl had stood at the front line with the others.

Qi Yun's recognition of her in his heart had grown a bit more.

But he still wanted to see how she would answer his question.

"Why do you want to join so badly?"

Qi Yun leaned against a nearby wooden post, his gaze calmly falling on her face.

Sophia seemed to have expected him to ask this.

"This Tribe is very powerful, it doesn't lack food and water, and women are not treated as cargo."

"This Tribe can allow me to obtain a rare class."

Qi Yun nodded; he believed these were Sophia's true thoughts.

Sophia paused, her icy blue eyes looking directly into Qi Yun's eyes without any flinching.

"Also, I have feelings for you, Qi Yun."

"If you are willing, as soon as I formally become a member... you can immediately trigger the 'clan leaders blessing' with me."

Qi Yun was stunned.

He hadn't expected Sophia to throw such an undisguised curveball.

No shy buildup, no ambiguous hints.

She directly stated she liked him and that he could give her the blessing.

Even though Qi Yun had seen many storms, he was a bit dazed by this direct approach.

He subconsciously touched his nose:

"Are you European girls... all this casual? You can like someone after just a few meetings?"

"Giving yourself away so casually."

Hearing this, Sophia's expression changed instantly.

A flash of offended anger flickered in those icy blue eyes.

"Please do not insult me, Qi Yun."

Her voice turned cold.

"I am not like those people. I come from an ancient and conservative family; we value tradition, honor, and loyalty."

"In my eighteen years of life, I have never said such things to anyone."

"You are the first, Qi Yun. I will not use hypocritical sweet words to decorate my feelings, nor will I use calculations to measure my devotion."

She looked into Qi Yun's eyes: "I like you, so I am willing. It is as simple as that."

Her gaze was too serious, with not a hint of a joke in it.

Qi Yun was moved by the beautiful, proud, and sincere girl before him.

That feeling of being purely and unreservedly recognized and chosen...

Was a bit unfamiliar.

But, it wasn't bad.

Just as he opened his mouth to say something—

"Qi Yun!"

The door of the wooden cabin was suddenly pushed open, and Xia Jin rushed out quickly.

In her hand, the ancient fortune compass was vibrating slightly.

"The compass is reacting—an ominous omen, the needle is pointing south."

All the warm or ambiguous atmosphere vanished instantly.

Qi Yun's gaze sharpened, and the slight fluctuation from a moment ago was instantly suppressed, replaced by absolute calmness.

"Understood."

"Xia Jin, notify everyone to prepare for battle."

"Yes!"

...

At the bottom of the hill.

Andrei appeared in sight with over twenty of his compatriots, swaggering along.

They wore a mess of clothing, but their physiques were exceptionally burly and tall.

They had no intention of hiding, as if they weren't coming for an attack, but for an outing.

Ivan immediately saw the figures in front of the wooden cabin on the hill.

His eyes lit up instantly, his greedy gaze practically sticking to them.

"Hahaha! Andrei! Look! So many top-tier goods!"

He shouted excitedly, pointing up the hill.

"Sophia and the others really are here; we won't let you run away this time."

"Andrei said Sophia's first time belongs to him."

"The one with the knife! She's spicy enough! I want her!"

"That big-chested one! Her skin is so damn white! Like it's made of snow!"

"And that one... wow, those legs..."

The group of people behind him also burst into laughter, their speech filled with constant filth.

They had already begun "distributing" the spoils with their eyes, as if those girls were already in their pockets.

Andrei licked his lips, a cruel excitement in his eyes.

His gaze passed over the women and locked directly onto the young-looking man standing at the very front.

That must be Qi Yun.

"Move faster."

Andrei waved his hand, his voice not loud but carrying an unquestionable cruelty.

"First, deal with that male yellow-skinned monkey."

"Be careful, don't kill him. Leave him a breath... I want to have some fun."

"Yes!"

Three of the burliest men stepped forward with cruel grins.

One was Mikhail, a wrestler nearly two meters tall with bulging muscles all over.

The other two were also experts from the boxing team and powerlifting, with sturdy builds and faces full of ferocity.

The three walked up the hill with arrogant strides, unhurriedly.

They completely disregarded the few dozen people on the hill.

...

On the hill.

Sophia's face turned pale.

"It's Andrei... and Ivan, Mikhail... they've come."

She spoke quickly in a low voice, her tone somewhat tense.

Qi Yun nodded, his face expressionless.

He just indifferently swept his gaze over the group at the bottom of the hill, his eyes looking at them like a pile of trash.

Just as well.

Many people in the Tribe had just leveled up and were looking for a place to test their skills.

He turned around, facing the girls who had quickly assembled behind him, and spoke casually:

"A few punching bags have arrived. Does anyone want to go stretch their limbs?"

Shu Qianxue raised her hand almost immediately:

"Me! Qi Bao, let me go! I just reached Lv7 and was looking for something to test my fists on!"

Qi Yun nodded: "Go ahead."

Shu Qianxue grinned, revealing two little tiger teeth.

Alone, she walked slowly down to meet the three burly men coming up the hill.

This scene made Andrei and the others at the bottom of the hill freeze for a moment, followed by an explosion of laughter.

"Hahaha! Andrei, look! That kid is so scared he's sending a woman out to die!"

Ivan laughed so hard he doubled over.

"This little broad's figure is really something! Mikhail, go easy in a moment, don't break her!"

Vasily whistled.

The distance between the two sides closed rapidly.

Mikhail's eyes went wide as he looked at Shu Qianxue walking down alone.

He intentionally puffed out his chest, showing off his exaggerated pectoral muscles, and shouted taunts at Qi Yun on the ridge:

"Hey! You yellow-skinned monkey hiding behind a woman's skirt! Is that all the guts you have? Sending a woman out to die for you?"

"I feel ashamed for you!"

"Hahaha!" The two companions behind him also laughed wildly.

Qi Yun picked his ear and yawned.

Does a person get angry at the mockery of an ant? Obviously not.

Shu Qianxue stopped her pace less than five meters from Mikhail.

She tilted her head, looking at the burly man who was nearly a head taller than her and built like a bear, and suddenly smiled.

"Finished talking?"

Mikhail was taken aback.

The next second.

Shu Qianxue moved.

It was simple—twisting her waist on the spot and raising her leg.

Suddenly sensing danger, Mikhail hastily raised his arms to block!

“BANG!!!!”

With a dull thud, Mikhail felt as if he had been hit by a truck traveling at full speed!

“CRACK!”

The clear sound of bones fracturing.

“Ugh, ahhh—!”

The cruel grin on Mikhail's face froze instantly, turning into extreme terror and pain.

Then, his massive body of over two hundred pounds was like a stone thrown from a catapult.

Off the ground.

Flying backward.

His vision receded wildly, and the wind whistled in his ears.

He flew over the heads of his two dumbfounded companions.

Flew past the middle of the hill.

Kept flying.

He flew for over a hundred meters!

“BOOM!!!”

Finally, he smashed heavily against the trunk of a thick tree in the distance.

The trunk shook violently, and leaves rustled down.

Mikhail, like a flattened painting, slowly slid down from the trunk and slumped to the ground, his life or death unknown.

The entire hillside was dead silent.

All the laughter, mockery, and whistling from the Andrei Tribe came to an abrupt halt.

Everyone's mouths hung open and their eyes bulged, looking at the puddle of mud that was Mikhail under the tree a hundred meters away.

Then they stiffly, bit by bit, turned their heads back toward the hill.

The pretty girl slowly pulled back her leg.

She curled her lip, her face showing undisguised disappointment and disdain as she muttered softly:

"So weak."

"Can't even block one kick?"

Her voice wasn't loud.

But it was like an invisible slap, fiercely striking the face of every member of the Andrei Tribe.

Stinging with pain.

Qi Yun suddenly had a sudden inspiration and looked at Sophia:

"Sophia, are you very popular in the Tribe?"

Sophia didn't understand why Qi Yun asked this, but she still answered.

"Almost all of them liked me, but after they seized power, they didn't have time to act against me before I escaped."

A mischievous grin appeared on Qi Yun's face.

"Sophia, come here, give me a kiss."
