81: Chapter 81 The Tragic Young Master's Nobleman 3

"The first time he came, he was a pure, harmless, sensible, and considerate little white flower; the second time he came, he was a ruthless and cold-blooded Supreme Demon."

A murmur of ambiguous meaning echoed within the Immortal Cave.

Lu Zhan narrowed his eyes slightly, a look of intrigue crossing his face. His right index finger tapped lightly against the hard, smooth stone table before him as his thoughts churned and various ideas surged through his mind.

After a long while, Lu Zhan set aside all inappropriate expressions, retrieved his token, opened the Immortal Cave's Restriction, and walked out.

From this moment on, he was merely Lu Zhan, the Senior Brother of the Yunxiao Sect.

A streak of light tore across the sky like a comet, and a figure carrying an aura of majesty and mystery descended before the hall. The long-vacant Linhua Hall once again welcomed its Revered Master.

Bi Qing, in the side hall, seemed to sense something and rushed out. Upon seeing the figure, he immediately went to greet him, his face filled with excitement and his eyes brimming with reverence.

"Senior Brother, you have finally finished your closed-door cultivation!"

Lu Zhan nodded in response and slowly walked into the main hall with light, steady steps, with Bi Qing following closely behind.

Looking around and seeing no one else, a hint of confusion appeared in Lu Zhan's eyes.

"Bi Qing, where is Mo Yun?"

Upon hearing this, Bi Qing's face showed anger, though his heart held a tinge of bitterness, and he recounted the events concerning Mo Yun in detail.

Watching his Senior Brother, who had slightly closed his eyes and remained silent after hearing the story, Bi Qing thought to himself that his Senior Brother must be feeling a bit sad and disappointed.

After all, Mo Yun had been brought back by his Senior Brother and had been carefully taught by his side for many years; he had always treated Mo Yun exceptionally well.

Yet after ten years of closed-door cultivation, he emerged to find that things had changed so much; that former Junior Brother had become a Supreme Demon renowned throughout both the Human Realm and the Demon Realm.

His Senior Brother probably needed some time to process this, Bi Qing thought, just as words tinged with a hint of melancholy reached his ears.

"I understand. Bi Qing, you may leave first."

Bi Qing glanced at his Senior Brother's figure, said nothing, and retreated with extremely light footsteps.

Lu Zhan walked to the couch by the window and sat cross-legged.

Mo Yun was not a wicked person, and having grown up in the Human Realm, his becoming the Supreme in the Demon Realm might not be a bad thing. However, others might not see it that way; it seemed a sedative was needed.

Thinking of this, Lu Zhan formed a hand seal, his thin lips moved slightly, and a message talisman vanished.

Inside the main hall of the Yunxiao Sect, the Elders sat on both sides, while the Sect Master, Master Mingyu, sat upright in the seat of honor. The hall was filled with the sounds of continuous discussion as they deliberated on matters.

"Sect Master, in just a few short years, Mo Yun has become the Supreme of the Demon Race, and his cultivation is unfathomable. What should we do?"

"Furthermore, it is said that this child's current methods surpass those of the previous Supreme Demon. I fear that the long-peaceful Human and Demon Realms will soon be plunged into a bloodbath once again."

"Sect Master, Mo Yun came from our Yunxiao Sect. Now, our sect has been criticized no small amount because of this. Shouldn't our Yunxiao Sect step forward and do something to restore our increasingly declining reputation?"

"Sect Master, since Mo Yun was brought back by Junior Nephew Lu Zhan, why not invite him out to discuss this? After all, in terms of talent and cultivation, I fear that only the Junior Nephew is capable of contending with him."

Master Mingyu felt a headache coming on. Hearing that they wanted to force his eldest Disciple to end his closed-door cultivation, he frowned and raised his voice slightly.

"Enough. I am aware of this matter. No one is permitted to disturb my Disciple's cultivation; everything will wait until he finishes."

Upon hearing this, the Elders wanted to say more, but were immediately cut off by Master Mingyu raising his hand. It was clear he was not prepared to continue the discussion.

The Elders could only look up at the unmoved Master Mingyu with troubled expressions, sighing continuously in their hearts.

Just then, a message talisman appeared before Master Mingyu. Master Mingyu tapped it with his index finger, and Lu Zhan's voice echoed through the hall.

"Revered Master, I have broken through and finished my closed-door cultivation. I am already aware of the situation. Since I brought Mo Yun back, if Mo Yun does evil and harms the peace of the Human Realm, I will personally step forward to resolve it and take full responsibility."

The resonant and forceful words carried great conviction. The hall fell silent, one could hear a pin drop, but the previously tense faces of the many Elders visibly relaxed. Their expressions became much lighter, clearly indicating that their hearts were now much more at ease.

When Lu Zhan first entered the Soul Transformation stage, he was invincible below the Body Integration Stage, his strength second only to the Sect Masters and Grand Elders of the major sects. Now that he had broken into the Body Integration Realm, his strength was likely even more powerful and unfathomable.

Now, even Master Mingyu might find it difficult to contend with him. Master Mingyu's cultivation was already the pinnacle of the Righteous Path; it seemed that this position would have to change hands.

Master Mingyu swept his gaze around the room, generally understanding what everyone was thinking. In his heart, he was pleased that his eldest Disciple had successfully broken through, but his face grew a few degrees more stern.

"You have all understood A-Zhan's words, haven't you? Do you have any further disputes now?"

The Elders shook their heads, indicating they had none. The Enforcement Grand Elder, Lin Yuan, wore his usual serious expression, but his eyes revealed excitement that was difficult to conceal.

"Sect Master, our Yunxiao Sect has now added another Body Integration Stage Cultivator; this is a joyous and congratulatory occasion. Moreover, Junior Nephew Lu's strength is obvious to all and known by everyone. Why not take this opportunity to appoint him as the Young Sect Master? Hold a celebration, announce it to the world, and select a few Disciples with outstanding Aptitude and talent from the subordinate clans for Junior Nephew Lu to instruct. This would, firstly, deter both the Human and Demon Realms, and secondly, appease the clans. It is just that, regarding the Junior Nephew's side..."

Grand Elder Lin Yuan did not finish his sentence, merely looking at Master Mingyu. The meaning was self-evident; the entire Yunxiao Sect knew Lu Zhan's temperament, and only the Sect Master could persuade him.

This proposal also drew nods of agreement from the other Elders, who vied to second the motion.

Master Mingyu looked at everyone, pondered for a moment, and felt it was not inappropriate. He had always viewed his eldest Disciple, Lu Zhan, as the successor to the next Sect Master; although he had never stated it, everyone in their hearts was clear about it.

"Let this matter be as the Grand Elder suggested. You are responsible for the arrangements; the celebration will be set for half a month from now. I will speak to A-Zhan myself. If there is nothing else, you may withdraw."

The Elders rose and spoke hurriedly.

"Sect Master, rest assured, we will certainly handle this well."

Master Mingyu nodded, his figure vanishing directly from the hall. The Elders followed closely behind, walking out of the main hall and turning into streaks of light that disappeared into the sky.

Inside Linhua Hall, Master Mingyu's figure appeared. Lu Zhan rose and bowed, his face cool and detached, his eyes filled with respect.

"Revered Master, I heard from Bi Qing that you were in the main hall discussing matters with the Elders. Why have you come here?"

Master Mingyu, with his white hair and beard, looked at his beloved Disciple with a heart full of pride and gratification.

"It was nothing major; seeing my Disciple is more important. It has been ten years since we last met, and Revered Master has missed you dearly. Come here and let Revered Master give you a hug."

Looking at Master Mingyu, who possessed an immortal air yet was currently holding out his arms in a somewhat childish manner, Lu Zhan's mouth twitched, and a touch of helplessness appeared in his eyes.

"Revered Master, I am not a child anymore."

Master Mingyu chuckled twice with an ambiguous meaning.

"Ever since A-Zhan grew up, you haven't been as cute as before, and you don't feel sorry for this old man anymore."
