310: Chapter 310 Planning the Joint Offensive
"Connect."
Mo Yuan's single eye glowed with a burning heat in the darkness, his voice sounding as if it were being ground out from deep underground.
Twelve mechanical Puppets opened their eyes in synchronization, data streams weaving into a web in the air. A distorted figure slowly emerged from the Void Realm, standing at the edge of the circular high platform—Crow Head had arrived.
He wore a black cloak and a half-iron mask on his face, revealing a right side covered in burn scars. When he spoke, it sounded as if broken glass were stuck in his throat:
"You summoned us, surely not just to watch a mecha fashion show?"
"Of course not." Mo Yuan stood up and slowly walked down from the throne, his boots making a metallic clanging sound against the floor.
"You've all seen it. Those so-called Righteous Path members of the Eastern Wasteland Alliance are kneeling before the Chen family's iron lumps like beggars scrambling for food."
"But so what?" A cold snort came from the other side. The leader of the remnants of the Zhao Clan of Xiling walked out leaning on a bone staff, his gaze gloomy. "They can afford them, and we can't beat them. Did you ask us here just to gather a crowd and watch the fun?"
"No." Mo Yuan raised his hand, and a holographic projection instantly unfolded in the air—it was the deployment map for the perimeter of the Chen family's Technology Workshop, with three nodes marked in red circles.
"I've let them have their way until now specifically for this moment. Their defensive line has a loophole."
Crow Head narrowed his eyes. "Where did you get that map?"
"I have eyes hidden in places they would least expect," Mo Yuan sneered. "Three months ago, I sent people to infiltrate. Although eight of them died, it was worth it to obtain this map."
The representative of the Broken Sword Pavilion spoke coldly, "You say there's a loophole, but who can believe you? What if this is a trap to lure us to our deaths?"
"To your deaths?" Mo Yuan turned abruptly, his gaze sweeping across the room like a blade. "Are you not already heading for death by living like this? Once the Chen family sells their mechas across the heavens, who will still use spiritual power to fight? Who will still practice Body Refining or cultivate the soul?"
"Your disciples will only kneel before the assembly line to beg for a purchase! By then, you won't even have the chance to go to your deaths!"
A moment of silence followed.
The Blood Fang arms dealer leaned against the wall, toying with a psionic shell casing in his hand, and said slowly:
"That's true... but how do we fight? A direct assault? Once their shields are up, we won't even be able to get through the door."
"That's why we must unite." Mo Yuan pointed to the three weak points in the projection.
"First, the energy conduit junction in the East District. Every three hours, there's a seven-breath power fluctuation; that is the gap when they switch between the main and auxiliary Systems."
"Second, the patrol mecha handover zone to the north. There's a forty-five-step gap between two units, creating a blind spot that lasts for eleven breaths."
"Third, the abandoned cooling tower on the south side. It was originally an old factory building, but now it's a surveillance blind spot."
He paused, lowering his voice: "I will personally lead a team using twelve Puppets to raid the central control room and paralyze the command System. In just five minutes, their defensive chain will break."
Crow Head sneered. "Are you so sure you can succeed?"
"I'm not sure." Mo Yuan grinned, his teeth glinting with a metallic luster. "But I'm willing to bet. And—"
He looked around at everyone. "I can guarantee that once we break through, all of the Chen family's resources—factories, ore veins, and technical data—will be distributed among the participants according to their contribution. The more effort you put in, the more you get."
The leader of the Zhao Clan of Xiling's eyes flickered. "Will they really belong to us?"
"Not a single part will be missing." Mo Yuan raised his hand, and the projection switched to a star map. "I know they have three secret outposts outside the Eastern Wasteland: one for Artifact Refining, one for grain storage, and one for hiding people."
"After we take the main city, these places will be yours to divide."
The Blood Fang arms dealer finally sat up straight. "I want their automated furnace production line."
"Give me the Medicinal Field and the seed bank," the Broken Sword Pavilion representative said coldly.
"I want the mecha blueprints," Crow Head stared at the projection, his voice hoarse, "especially the core architecture of that 'Iron Spine Type-I'."
Mo Yuan nodded. "All of that is possible. But the prerequisite is—you must act."
Someone else questioned, "Even if you paralyze the System, the Chen family still has experts. Chen Xiaodao and Chen Tiezhu are not to be trifled with."
"That's why I didn't say you'd be on the front lines," Mo Yuan sneered. "I'm just opening the door. What you need to do is take advantage of the chaos to steal things, blow up equipment, and destroy records. By the time they react, it will be too late."
Crow Head slowly nodded. "That sounds... less like a death sentence."
"It was never meant to be a death sentence."
Mo Yuan stepped closer, his voice low. "This is a reckoning. Why did the Chen family rise so suddenly?"
"Why should they suppress us with a bunch of iron shells?"
"They have no foundation, no Legacy, only crooked Evil Paths! Today, we shall act on behalf of the Heavenly Dao to completely block this path!"
The atmosphere in the hall suddenly grew tense.
Some rubbed their hands, greed flashing in their eyes; some still frowned in hesitation, fearing a trap; others had already begun calculating how much they could loot.
The leader of the Zhao Clan of Xiling finally spoke: "I'm in. But I have one condition—I must see you break through the central hub with my own eyes before I lead my men in."
"Fine." Mo Yuan agreed readily. "Have your people lie in ambush outside the East District and wait for my signal."
The Blood Fang arms dealer also nodded. "I'm in too. But I'll only send half my men; the other half will provide support on the perimeter. If things go wrong, we'll retreat immediately."
"As you wish." Mo Yuan didn't care. "Only those who survive are qualified to share the spoils."
The Broken Sword Pavilion representative said coldly, "I can provide ten death soldiers to infiltrate the underground pipes and assist you in cutting off the power."
"Very good." The corner of Mo Yuan's mouth curled up. "Anyone else?"
Crow Head was silent for a moment before finally raising his hand. "The Night Owl Society will be on standby, at your disposal."
"That's enough." Mo Yuan turned around, and the twelve Puppets raised their arms simultaneously as data streams converged into a tactical network map.
"Next, we will refine the action route. In the first wave, I will lead three Puppets to break into the control room. The goal: cut the power to the main control array and release an interference pulse, with an estimated duration of five to eight minutes."
He pointed to the East District node. "Crow Head will take thirty men and storm the East District warehouse while the alarms are in chaos, focusing on seizing energy cores and spare mechas."
"The Zhao Clan of Xiling will cut in from the north to destroy the patrol System, create panic, and draw the attention of the defenders."
"The Blood Fang people will be responsible for the south side, blowing up the cooling System to trigger a chain overload, forcing them to divert troops back for defense."
"The Broken Sword Pavilion's death soldiers will go underground to cut three main power lines, paralyzing them for at least two quarters of an hour."
Everyone listened; some took notes, some discussed in low voices, and some had already begun arranging for their subordinates to make contact.
"The operation time is set for three days from now at dawn." Mo Yuan stared at the projection. "At that time, they will have just completed a round of mass production handovers, their defenses will be lax, and the lunar phase will obscure Heavenly Secret observations, making it the most suitable time to act."
Crow Head suddenly asked, "What if they are prepared?"
Mo Yuan smiled. "Then it's even simpler—I'll lure them out, and while they think they're safe, you'll stab them in the heart."
A deathly silence filled the hall, with only the data streams silently weaving through the air.
Greed, fear, and violence intertwined at this moment into an invisible web.
Mo Yuan stood in the center, surrounded by twelve Puppets, looking like a god of war crawling out of the abyss.
"Remember," he spoke slowly, "this is not a battle; it is a plunder. It is not revenge; it is an ending. We want everyone to know the fate of those who dare to challenge the old order."
He raised his hand and closed the projection. The entire hall fell into dimness, with only the light in the Puppets' eyes still flickering.
"Go back and prepare," he said. "In three days, I want to see the fires of the Chen family light up the entire Eastern Wasteland."
Crow Head was the last to stand up. Before leaving, he glanced back at Mo Yuan.
The man sat quietly on the throne, his finger lightly tapping the armrest in a slow rhythm that quietly synchronized with some impending destruction.
