328: Chapter 328 Fist Shatters Blood River, Blood Butcher Injured

The Blood River rolled violently in the air, its fissures like an oil film sliced open by a red-hot blade, edges sizzling and emitting wisps of black smoke.

Those vengeful spirits that had originally been roaring were now distorted into forms resembling scrambled data, their bodies peeling away piece by piece and disintegrating into points of light.

Chen Wuwang stood inside the cockpit of the "eye of wuwang," his fingers still tapping rapidly in the Void Realm, the rhythm as steady as a heartbeat.

"Frequency locked to node three, energy compressed to the critical point," he said in a low voice. "No matter how hard this thing is, it still relies on the Spiritual flow circulation to hold up—where there is a circulation, there are loopholes."

The spiritual energy vortex in front of his right fist contracted abruptly, compressing into a blinding blue-white beam of light, as if the entire galaxy had been stuffed into the eye of a needle.

"Force Break, execute."

The moment his voice fell, the mecha's right fist punched out.

There was no earth-shattering roar, nor any flashy Move name; it was just a punch.

Simple and direct.

But the instant this punch was thrown, the air seemed to be sucked dry, the ground cracked open with spiderweb-like fissures, and even the ruins of the West Tower in the distance trembled violently, gravel falling with a rustling sound.

"Boom——!"

The force of the punch slammed into the center of the Blood River, and that seemingly indestructible blood membrane shattered like glass, opening a hole over ten zhang in diameter.

The torrent of energy inside the Blood River instantly lost balance, and the surrounding waves of blood collapsed inward frantically, attempting to fill the gap, but they were pierced through by the high-frequency vibrations carried by the punch, heading straight for Blood Butcher's main body.

Blood Butcher's pupils shrank, and he instinctively crossed his arms to protect his chest.

"Impossible! My Blood River has absorbed nine hundred and twenty-seven lives and has been refined for three years without dissipating. How could you possibly—!"

Before he could finish his sentence, his chest felt as if it had been struck by a ten-thousand-ton hammer, his whole body arched violently, and a mouthful of blood sprayed out, drawing an arc in the air.

The blood had just left his mouth, and before it could hit the ground, it was torn into mist by the chaotic Spiritual Pressure around it.

"Cough... cough cough!" He coughed up blood while drifting backward, his face turning from red to white, then from white to green. "You... what did you add to the force of the punch?!"

Chen Wuwang did not answer; the data stream in his Mechanical Prosthetic Eye scrolled rapidly, but a cold smirk curled the corner of his mouth.

"I added a little something," he said. "You say your Blood River is an aggregate of resentment? Fine, I'll send you a 'virus' to taste."

His fingertips tapped lightly on the panel, and an encrypted command popped up: "Injection complete, reverse penetration rate 87.3%, target Spiritual Vein connection point is disintegrating."

It turned out that earlier, while suppressing the Blood River, he had used spiritual energy resonance to quietly embed a simulation program into the force of the punch—

One that specifically targeted the energy conduction path of the "Blood River Demonic Art."

It was like inserting a worm code into an old server; there were no visible abnormalities on the surface, but inside, it had already begun to rot from the root.

Blood Butcher only felt as if the spiritual power in his body was being cut bit by bit by a dull knife, his internal organs burning.

He forcibly steadied his figure and gritted his teeth, saying, "A mere parlor trick! My Blood River is connected to my life soul; you cannot destroy it—!"

"I am not trying to destroy it," Chen Wuwang interrupted him, his voice as cold as ice. "I want it to backfire on you."

Before his voice had faded, a piercing "sizzle" sound erupted from the remaining cracks in the Blood River, like the noise when an old television signal is interrupted.

Immediately after, three dark red Spiritual Veins coiled back from the depths of the Blood River, stabbing straight into Blood Butcher's shoulders and heart.

"Ugh ah—!" Blood Butcher threw his head back and screamed, his eyes bulging, blue veins bulging one by one on his face, as if countless insects were crawling under his skin.

Those were the connection points he had set up himself, now reactivated in reverse by the "data strain" controlled by Chen Wuwang, pouring all the remaining resentment of the Blood River into his body.

"You... you dare...!" He raised a trembling finger to point at Chen Wuwang, his fingertips shaking. "You are desecrating the rules! You are acting in a Heaven-Defying way!"

"Heaven-Defying?" Chen Wuwang scoffed, the mecha slowly raising its left palm, another rotating mass of spiritual energy condensing in its palm. "You people always like to keep 'rules' on your lips. But who set the rules? The living, or the dead?"

His arm shook, and light shone from both fists simultaneously.

On the right was the physical shockwave compressed to the extreme, and on the left was the high-frequency oscillating energy field; the two forces were different in nature, yet both were poised to strike at the same moment.

"Now I tell you," his voice was low but carried an unquestionable sense of oppression. "The real rules are those that can be beaten out."

Blood Butcher still wanted to struggle and formed seals with his hands, intending to summon new waves of blood, but the spiritual power in his body was already in chaos, and the runes disintegrated on their own as soon as they took shape.

"Don't bother," Chen Wuwang said indifferently. "That Cultivation Technique of yours, built by killing people, looks scary, but it's actually just like an old-fashioned boiler—once the pressure gets high, it explodes itself first."

After he finished speaking, he threw both fists out.

The right fist slammed into the last complete area of the Blood River, while the left palm aimed at Blood Butcher himself, releasing a fan-shaped energy wave that blocked all his paths of retreat.

"Rumble—!"

As the second punch landed, the Blood River completely shattered, and large patches of blood mist exploded into crimson dust, dissipating with the wind.

Those remaining vengeful spirits finally stopped struggling, let out a sigh resembling relief, and then transformed into tiny specks of light, slowly rising into the air like fireflies in the night.

And that fan-shaped energy wave hit Blood Butcher's chest precisely, knocking him flying backward, his back slamming hard against a charred rock, emitting a dull thud.

He slid to the ground, half-kneeling to support himself, blood continuously overflowing from the corner of his mouth, his cape tattered, and his right hand unable to be lifted.

"This... how is it possible..."

He looked up, and for the first time, there was no arrogance in his eyes, only shock and disbelief. "You are merely a Mortal... how... how could you possibly break my Blood River..."

Chen Wuwang ignored him, controlling the mecha to slowly descend to the ground, its six wings retracting, its feet stepping onto the scorched earth, emitting the sound of metal rubbing against gravel.

He walked toward Blood Butcher step by step, each step causing the ground to tremble slightly.

"Mortal?" He sneered. "Then who decided that a Mortal cannot touch technology? Who said that cultivation must mean sticking to broken talisman papers and chanting rotten spells?"

He stopped walking, less than ten steps away from Blood Butcher.

"You killed so many people, isn't it just to become stronger? But look at you now—"

He pointed to the lingering shadow of the Blood River in the sky that was about to dissipate. "Something propped up by the resentment of a bunch of dead people, it scatters with a single gust of wind."

Blood Butcher panted heavily, staring at him intently, his voice hoarse: "You... wait... I will not lose... the Blood Demon Sect... still has... a backup plan..."

"Oh?" Chen Wuwang raised an eyebrow. "You still want to call for help? Fine, I'm right here."

He raised the mecha's right arm, blinding light condensing on the fist again, aimed at Blood Butcher's head.

"Come on, let your backup plan watch how you are beaten to your knees."

Blood Butcher's expression changed drastically; he wanted to escape, but his body was firmly locked by that clamping force field, making it difficult to even Move a finger.

He opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to say something, but in the end, he only coughed up a mouthful of black blood.

Chen Wuwang looked down at him from above, his silver hair rising in the wind, the three claw marks on his right cheek gleaming with cold light.

"You say technology is desecration?" he said in a low voice. "Then feel it now—what is called a true 'dimensional strike'."
