435: Chapter 435: Blueprints Revealed, Research and Development Direction Finally Clarified

The morning light had just crawled in through the window crack and hadn't yet had time to cover the entire stone table, but Chen Wuwang was already standing in the center of the secret chamber.

He clutched the dark cyan blueprint in his hand, his fingertips pressing against the three characters for "Main Control Core," his knuckles turning slightly white.

Chen Qiaoshou sat motionless in his original spot, his hands resting on his knees like a statue that didn't know how to breathe.

Only his eyeballs shifted occasionally, landing on Chen Wuwang's face, waiting for him to speak.

"This blueprint of yours wasn't drawn casually." Chen Wuwang finally spoke, his voice low, but every word felt like a nail being hammered into stone.

"It follows a three-stage logic of 'Feedback—Prediction—Correction,' which matches the navigation System model in my head."

"I know what you're trying to do," Chen Qiaoshou said calmly. "Let the mech find enemies on its own, without needing someone to watch it."

"Right. But how did you know?"

Chen Wuwang turned around, his Mechanical Prosthetic Eye flashing red as it scanned the surface of the blueprint: "This isn't a rune array, nor is it a spirit path diagram. It's... something new. Half cultivation, half... I don't know what to call it."

"You can call it a 'Neural Circuit.'" Chen Qiaoshou reached out and used his fingernail to gently tap the ring structure in the center of the blueprint. "Look here, seven nodes connected in a circle, with slight angle adjustments at every turn.

This isn't for aesthetics; it's to let the signal bypass dead zones, just like the brain memorizing things—if it can't remember, it goes over it again."

Chen Wuwang squatted down, his eyes level with the blueprint: "Are you saying it can 'learn'?"

"It can't learn, but it can 'remember paths.'" Chen Qiaoshou shook his head.

"For example, if a bird flies by and its trajectory is captured once, the next time a similar movement occurs, even if the direction is off by three degrees, the nodes in the diagram will automatically compare it to find the closest response solution."

"An error margin of three-thousandths of a breath..." Chen Wuwang muttered. "This means that we can react half an instant before the enemy makes a move."

"The prerequisite is that the input must be fast enough," Chen Qiaoshou added. "You need a source that can convert the enemy's movements into signals to send in. Otherwise, this blueprint is just an empty shell."

Chen Wuwang suddenly looked up: "There are three Zerg scout Puppets in the loot storage. Their eyes are dynamic capture chips that can record high-speed movement trajectories. I can dismantle them and modify them into front-end sensors."

"That will be enough." Chen Qiaoshou nodded. "The signal comes in, gets processed by this 'Main Control Core,' and outputs instructions to the mech's action module—the closed loop will be complete."

Both fell silent at the same time.

Sunlight slanted in, and the lines on the blueprint shimmered with a faint light. Those fine, spiderweb-like patterns seemed to be trembling slightly, as if they were about to awaken.

"What are you using the Gold-Eating Insect stomach lining for?" Chen Wuwang asked suddenly.

"To clear noise." Chen Qiaoshou reached out his right hand, his fingernails pitch-black. "When the demon core provides power, there will be residual fluctuations, and spirit pattern conduction will also generate interference.

If these noises accumulate too much, the System will misjudge. The stomach lining can eat these redundant signals, leaving only the useful ones."

"But it's highly corrosive; if not controlled well, it will eat right through the entire core."

"That's why I added a triple error-correction circuit." Chen Qiaoshou's finger traced three parallel short lines on the edge of the blueprint. "Once abnormal consumption is detected, it immediately cuts off the power supply line and restarts after it stabilizes. It's like a person sneezing to expel dirty things."

Chen Wuwang stared at those three lines for a full ten breaths, then suddenly laughed: "Qiaoshou, you're a fucking madman."

"As long as I'm alive, it's fine." Chen Qiaoshou twitched the corner of his mouth.

"Do you know what it means if this set of things is made?"

Chen Wuwang stood up, his voice lowered, "It's not just about making the mech a little smarter; it's about rewriting the entire rules of combat!

From now on, it won't be about who has higher cultivation winning, but whose System is faster, more accurate, and better at guessing—this is the true Cyber Cultivation!"

After he finished speaking, his fingers unconsciously tapped on the table, one after another, the rhythm getting faster and faster.

Chen Qiaoshou looked at him: "Are you thinking about resources?"

"There's enough spirit-pattern silver wire, and the third-tier demon cores can also be gathered." Chen Wuwang's eyes flashed. "The key is the stomach lining. You said you needed a small piece; I sealed a complete Gold-Eating Insect gland three years ago, which is perfect for cutting."

"Then what are you hesitating about?" Chen Qiaoshou asked.

"I'm thinking about you." Chen Wuwang looked directly at him. "Such an exquisite design couldn't have been created by one person working behind closed doors. Who exactly were you before? Where have you worked, and what have you done?"

Chen Qiaoshou was silent for a few seconds, his gaze falling on the blueprint: "I drew it by myself." He did not repeat this sentence, instead saying: "It's meaningless to talk about this now."

"I don't believe it." Chen Wuwang sneered. "This kind of thinking, either it's a Genius, or... someone who has seen the future."

"I haven't seen the future." Chen Qiaoshou raised his eyes. "I've only seen failure. Too many people wanted to rely on brute force for Artifact Refining, and ended up blowing up their furnaces and killing people.

I just wondered, could there be another way? Let the machine understand how to move on its own."

"So you turned yourself into a tool, using your fingernails to carve circuits?" Chen Wuwang narrowed his eyes.

"Even a tool needs someone to use it," Chen Qiaoshou said softly. "Now that you're using it, it proves it's useful."

Chen Wuwang stared at him for a long time, then suddenly turned and walked to the wall, pulled open a hidden compartment, took out a Jade Slip, and threw it over.

"This is the sketch I drew last night; it's all here. Take a look and see if anything is missing."

Chen Qiaoshou took the Jade Slip and scanned it with his Divine Sense, his brows slightly furrowed: "You envisioned using lightning-struck wood powder for the conductive layer? No, it's too brittle and can't withstand high-frequency oscillations."

"Then what do you suggest?"

"Switch to cold iron filings mixed with spirit glue." Chen Qiaoshou put down the Jade Slip. "That's what I soak my fingernails in; it cuts iron like mud and can conduct flow."

"Fine." Chen Wuwang nodded. "I'll go arrange the Materials; you prepare to start work."

"No rush." Chen Qiaoshou shook his head. "The blueprint can be handed to you, but the production must be done by me. It recognizes my hands; if others touch it, it will fail."

"I understand." Chen Wuwang's tone was solemn. "This blueprint is your hard work. I won't steal the credit, nor will I give reckless orders. You are responsible for making it, and I am responsible for protecting you until it's finished."

Chen Qiaoshou glanced at him and finally revealed a trace of a smile: "You're a person with a sharp tongue but a soft heart."

"Less talk." Chen Wuwang glared. "I'm asking you, after the Main Control Core is made, can it be expanded? For example, connecting more modules?"

"Yes." Chen Qiaoshou's fingers slid over the blueprint. "Interface slots are reserved here; in the future, you can add defensive prediction, energy scheduling, and even remote coordination. You can give it as much brain as you want it to have."

"Good!" Chen Wuwang slammed his fist on the table. "With this blueprint, the R&D direction is clear. If we proceed according to this, we will surely succeed!"

"That's right." Chen Qiaoshou nodded slowly. "When I designed it, I already considered the Chen family's existing technology and resources.

The silver wire inventory is enough for seven rounds of iteration, the demon core extraction process is already standardized, and even the workshop's constant-temperature array meets the production environment requirements."

"You even calculated this?" Chen Wuwang was stunned.

"Otherwise, how could it be called 'usable'?" Chen Qiaoshou countered.

The two looked at each other, and neither spoke again.

But the tense atmosphere in the air quietly dissipated.

Replacing it was an indescribable certainty, like the last trace of calm before a rainstorm, yet it hid the power to tear the sky apart.

Chen Wuwang sat back in his chair, picked up the cup of cold tea on the table, and took a sip. He frowned at the bitterness but didn't put it down.

"Next step, I'm going to convene the technical research group," he said. "First, make the Main Control Core. Even if it's only the size of a palm, as long as it can run one closed-loop test, it's a victory."

"Too many people will actually get in the way," Chen Qiaoshou reminded him. "This thing is delicate and cannot tolerate the slightest mistake. In the early stages, it can only be pushed forward on a small scale."

"I know." Chen Wuwang nodded. "I will control the scale. But someone must cooperate with you to prepare Materials and debug the environment."

"Then limit it to within five people," Chen Qiaoshou said. "They must be people I trust."

"Fine." Chen Wuwang agreed. "You decide the candidates, and I'll approve them."

He paused and then asked: "Who do you trust?"

"For now... I only trust you." Chen Qiaoshou looked at him. "Because you've touched this blueprint. It counts as yours now too."

Chen Wuwang was taken aback for a moment, then grinned: "You're flattering me."

"I'm telling the truth." Chen Qiaoshou said calmly. "From today on, this blueprint is not just mine. It belongs to the Chen family, and it is also the starting point of that future you want."

Sunlight shone fully into the secret chamber, landing on the spread-out blueprint. Those complex lines seemed to come alive, trembling slightly in the light and shadow, like stars beginning to ignite, illuminating a path that no one had ever stepped on before.

Chen Wuwang looked down at the blueprint, his eyes burning with intensity.

He knew that this battle finally had a real weapon.

He raised his hand and gently pressed down on a corner of the blueprint to prevent the wind from blowing it away.

"Then let's do it," he said.
