364: Chapter 364 The Powerful Demon Unleashes Their Might, the Chen Family Under Pressure

The sound of war drums still drifted in the wind, and fragments of shattered armor whirled in the air mixed with scorched earth.

The screams in the valley had ceased, leaving only a few scattered crackles of residual psionic fire.

The faint light at Bai Ling's fingertips had only half-condensed when a rift suddenly split open in the sky.

It wasn't thunder.

It was light.

Three beams of crimson-gold energy cleaved down from the high sky, slamming into the ruins on the east side of the city wall in a triangular formation. Three surging waves of earth exploded from the ground, sending plumes of dust into the sky and shattering the deathly silence that had just settled.

"Who?!" The roar of the Mecha Squad was cut short mid-air.

Amidst the dust, the "eye of wuwang" stood steadily on the broken wall platform. Its eyes flashed with red light as the Mechanical Prosthetic Eye instantly completed its lock-on—three hundred meters up in the sky, a man draped in dark-patterned robes floated in mid-air, his hands still held in a seal, with ripples of spiritual power backflow lingering at his cuffs.

"You're the only one left jumping around?" Chen Wuwang tapped twice on the control panel, his voice projecting through the amplification array with a slightly raspy laugh. "The trash before weren't enough of a challenge, so it's your turn to personally enter the field?"

The man did not answer.

He simply raised his hand slowly, palm down, and spread his five fingers.

In the next instant, seven beams of light shot from his fingertips, homing in on the "eye of wuwang" as if they had eyes of their own. They moved so fast they tore the air, their roars merging into one.

"Shit!" Inside the pilot's cabin, alarms blared wildly. "Right shoulder armor hit! Structural integrity dropped to 89%! Left leg thruster overload warning!"

Chen Wuwang didn't move.

He was waiting.

His fingers continued to tap—once, twice, thrice... as if counting a beat.

The seventh beam of light grazed the mecha's faceplate and exploded against the ruined wall behind him, sending stone fragments flying. He suddenly pulled the control stick, and the entire body of the "eye of wuwang" tilted thirty degrees to the left, sliding half a step using the shadow of the broken wall, its back pressed against a collapsed stone pillar.

"There's a rhythm," he whispered. "Seven shots per round, with a zero-point-three-second interval."

As he spoke, the eighth wave of attacks arrived.

This time it was nine beams of light, covering the area in three layers. The middle three aimed straight for the cockpit, while the three above and three below sealed off any evasion routes.

"Playing for real now?" Chen Wuwang grinned and tapped the tactical screen. "Activate localized shields! Right arm force-shedding mode! Lock left leg dampers!"

With a hum, a pale blue energy membrane unfolded in front of the mecha, covering only the chest core and the head. The nine beams of light slammed into the shield, erupting in blinding sparks. A corner of the right shoulder armor was shaved off, smoke rising from the metallic cross-section, but the core conduits remained intact.

"Structural integrity 83%," the System's voice prompted coldly.

High in the sky, the Nascent Soul Expert finally spoke. His voice wasn't loud, yet it drowned out all the roaring: "Boy of the Chen family, hiding here and there relying on a tin shell—is this what you call a powerhouse?"

Chen Wuwang twitched the corner of his mouth, his hands never stopping. "The group before you said the same thing. And then? Those lying on the ground are lying there, those kneeling are kneeling, and now you even have to rely on Puppets to collect the bodies."

"Presumptuous!" the man roared, his hands snapping together in a prayer-like gesture.

The sky suddenly changed color. Dark clouds surged from all directions, and a massive Psionic Sphere condensed in the center, electric arcs dancing on its surface, illuminating the entire battlefield in flickering light.

"Now that's more like it." Chen Wuwang stared at the energy readings, his pupils constricting slightly. "Held it in for so long, you're finally willing to use a big move."

He stopped talking and quickly swiped through the tactical map, pulling up a real-time trajectory prediction. There was a faint vibration during the Psionic Sphere's charging process, with a period of 0.3 seconds; after each vibration, there was a brief drop in energy.

"Now!"

He slammed the control stick forward. The "eye of wuwang" stomped its right foot heavily, its treads instantly engaging as the body charged out from cover, moving at high speed in a Z-pattern.

BOOM—!!!

The Psionic Sphere fell, hitting the exact spot where he had just been. The airwave from the explosion sent all surrounding wreckage flying, and the ground collapsed into a deep pit sixty meters in diameter, exposing the rock layers and severing the Spiritual Vein.

But the mecha was no longer there.

"Southeast corner! He's running toward the southeast corner!" someone in the enemy ranks shouted.

High in the sky, the expert's gaze turned cold. "No matter how fast you run, you cannot escape my eyes."

He formed another seal with his hands and chanted an obscure incantation. Seven Psionic Pillars suddenly rose from the cracks in the ground, surrounding the "eye of wuwang" in a circle. Light nets shot from the tops of the pillars, rapidly closing in.

"Trying to cage me?" Chen Wuwang sneered. "Do you think this is a pig pen in a wet market?"

He tapped the console with two fingers. "Activate Terrain Counter-Projection Algorithm! Calculate optimal breakout path!"

Three red lines instantly appeared on the screen. He chose the shortest one and slammed the thrusters.

The "eye of wuwang" suddenly accelerated, charging straight at one of the Psionic Pillars. Ten meters away, the Shockwave Hammer on its right arm popped out, the charging indicator hitting max instantly.

"Break for me—!"

The hammer head slammed violently into the base of the Psionic Pillar. With a deafening boom, the pillar of light shook violently, and cracks appeared in the energy network. Using the recoil, the mecha rolled on the spot, narrowly bursting through the gap.

"Structural integrity 78%," the System prompted.

"Shut up." Chen Wuwang wiped the sweat from his forehead, staring at the sky. "Don't disturb my fortune-telling."

He tapped the control panel again, counting under his breath: "Seven shots a round, zero-point-three-second gap... Your spiritual power output has already reached its limit. Hold on for three more rounds and you'll be cramping up."

As if in response to his words, the expert in the sky suddenly bellowed: "Ant! You dare insult me?!"

He pressed his hands down violently.

Three even larger Psionic Spheres condensed out of thin air, suspended in a triangular formation, locking onto the mecha's head, chest core, and legs respectively.

"The lethal move is here." Chen Wuwang sat up straight, his five fingers spread and pressed against the control stick. "Come on, let me see exactly how much you're worth."

He didn't dodge.

Instead, facing the three Psionic Spheres, he pushed the control stick, making the "eye of wuwang" slowly stand tall, its cannon muzzle tilting slightly as if aiming at something.

The first Psionic Sphere moved.

It aimed straight for the head.

Chen Wuwang yanked the side-roll lever with his right hand, and the mecha used its left leg as an axis to perform an extreme side-roll. The Psionic Sphere grazed the faceplate and exploded on the broken wall behind, stone fragments falling like rain.

The second one lunged toward the chest core.

He pressed the blink key with his left hand. Three streams of ion flow erupted from the back of the "eye of wuwang," and the body lunged forward five meters. The Psionic Sphere missed, slamming into the ground and blasting a deep pit.

The third one charged toward the left leg.

This time, he didn't move.

"Taking it head-on?" A flicker of mockery flashed in the eyes of the expert in the sky.

But at the very moment the Psionic Sphere was about to hit, Chen Wuwang suddenly activated the leg hydraulic damping System. The left leg joint instantly bent ninety degrees, and the body sank; the Psionic Sphere flew past the calf armor, eventually striking a distant mountain wall, causing the entire small hilltop to collapse.

With a clatter, a large amount of metal fragments fell from the mecha's right shoulder, exposing the crisscrossing conduits beneath. The alarm sounded again: "Right arm main control circuit damaged! Output power dropped by 40%!"

"Got it." Chen Wuwang took a breath, staring at the energy fluctuation map on the screen. "These three hits of yours look scary, but your stamina is actually failing."

He looked up at the sky and grinned. "Come again? I haven't even warmed up yet."

The man floated in mid-air, his chest heaving slightly, his hands still maintaining the seal posture with electric arcs jumping at his fingertips. He didn't speak, but his gaze had changed.

It was no longer contempt.

It was killing intent.

The "eye of wuwang" stood on the ruins, its armor scorched and deformed in many places, the right shoulder dented, and a crack appearing in the outer armor of the left leg. But it still stood, its cannon muzzle tilted slightly, its eyes flashing red like an injured Vicious Beast that refused to fall.

The wind swept across the battlefield, carrying ashes.

In the distant valley, the remaining enemies had mostly been wiped out, leaving only a few scattered wails. No one dared to step forward, and no one dared to retreat.

Everyone looked up at the confrontation between the sky and the ruins.

The outcome was still undecided.

But anyone could see—

This battle had only just truly begun.
