Yao Zhi was not happy to hear this news. She didn’t know her husband’s personality or if he liked the original owner. After all, everyone was attracted to beautiful things. With her current physique, she was sure that her husband wouldn’t like her.

Noticing that she was upset, Wang Shen thought that she was unhappy because her husband left soon after their marriage. They didn’t even consummate their marriage. So, it’s normal for her to be unhappy.

Not knowing how to comfort her, she only patted her hand and reminded her, "Right now, you should focus on getting more rest and get well soon. Don’t think too much. I will go invite the physician."

"Aunt, no need to invite the physician," Yao Zhi stopped her. After a moment of pause, she added embarrassedly, "I have no money to pay the consultation fee."

When Wang Shen heard this, she reached into her sleeve and took out a pouch. She poured out several pieces of silver and bronze coins on the bed and counted them.

After she was done, she handed a piece of silver and several coins to her while saying, "Your husband gave me two taels of silver to buy medicine for you. This is what’s left."

Since she didn’t know how much this coin was worth, she tried to sell one first.

She tapped on the register button and saw that the starting price of the coin was eight hundred points. She didn’t change the price and put it for auction directly. The auction would take eight hours to complete.

Since she had nothing to do and no longer felt weak, Yao Zhi went to draw some well water and started cleaning the house. Living in a dirty house was not good for her health.

It took her two hours to wipe the entire house clean. Afterward, she used the broom made of dried branches to sweep the floor and went to tidy the front yard and backyard.

When she was done, the sun was already setting on the western horizon. Wiping the sweat on her forehead, she drew some well water and used a piece of cloth to wipe her body.

The weather was hot, and the well water was cool. After cleaning up herself, she felt refreshed. Even though she couldn’t wash her hair, it was better than nothing.

Yao Zhi rummaged through the wooden cabinets before she found a set of clean clothes. After she changed her clothes, she went to the kitchen to boil some drinking water and made a simple vegetable porridge for dinner.

To remove the mossy smell, she added a drop of spiritual spring water into the water and the porridge.

While she was having dinner, Fu Chen’an had just finished washing his face and went to get his dinner. In the barracks, everyone ate together in a specific area near the kitchen.
