Hearing this, Yao Zhi felt sorry for him. She poured a bowl of water for him and said, "Drink some water first. I will make a bowl of noodles for you."

After his wife went to the kitchen, he turned to the group of men and asked, "I wonder what you all are doing in my house?"

This was not the first time they met him. But before his marriage, Fu Chen’an mostly spent his time in the barracks. So, his relationship with the villagers was not close.

"Squad Leader Fu, we are hired by Sister Yao Zhi to build the kitchen wall. We will be able to finish the job today," Yang Dalang explained.

Hearing this, Fu Chen’an looked at the kitchen. The previous open kitchen was now surrounded by a mud wall. There was only a small part that needed to be done.

When she came out holding two big bowls, Fu Chen’an quickly walked over and helped her carry them. Seeing this, Yao Zhi returned to the kitchen and got the bamboo tube and a bowl.
