Fu Chen’an looked at his wife and thought that she was shy. He smiled and took the clothes. Seeing that she even prepared undergarments for him, his ears turned red, and he coughed to cover his embarrassment.

Hearing this, Yao Zhi quickly said, "I will wait for you outside."

Standing alone in the room, Fu Chen’an watched his wife escape with a helpless gaze. They were a legally married couple, but due to his work, they barely spent time together. It was normal for his wife to feel shy when facing him.

"Then, I will go prepare dinner," Yao Zhi nodded and went to the kitchen.

When she walked past the Yang brothers, she nodded and smiled at them but did not stop for a chat. Yang Sanlang watched her back until she went inside the kitchen before he averted his gaze.

The moment he turned his head, he met Fu Chen’an’s sharp gaze. Feeling guilty for looking at another man’s wife, he pulled his bamboo hat down.

At this moment, Fu Chen’an wanted nothing but to send this man away. He handed the pouch to Yang Dalang and said, "Brother Yang, thank you for your and your brothers’ help. Here is the payment."

Yang Dalang accepted the pouch and poured the money out. He handed ten wen to his brothers and cousins on the spot.

While he was sending them off, inside the kitchen, Yao Zhi had lit the fire and put a pot of water on one of the stoves.

Besides building the walls, Yang Dalang and his brothers also opened two big windows for ventilation. They used bamboo to make the window.

"I can cook simple dishes," Fu Chen’an replied while rolling up his sleeves.

Yao Zhi’s gaze followed his movement, and when she saw the veins on his arms, she could not help but take several more glances.

’Help! Is this something I can see for free?!’ she screamed in her mind.
